Cassidy was offered 250.000 US dollars to battle Dizaster. Dizaster is a rapper from LA that has been doing big on the battle scene.

They were battling 2 nights ago and then it was cancelled (due to organization problems) and they had to make a re-match last night.

I am still watching it but so far Cassidy has killed him in my opinion. The first night both of them were wack but on the re-match I see better performance from both of them.

Battle wasn't cancelled. The Fire Marshall shut-down the event down mid-battle. Unfortunately I paid for the live steam which had latency and sound issues.

Still watching too but both guys looked better than on the big stage...battles should be held in room with their crews with them. So far this is 10x better than the Dizaster vs Canibus battle.

Cassidy did better than every other mainstream rapper that battled so far. Joe Budden and Cannibus had done a very terrible job at holding their own in the ring. While his bars were considered basic, dude's performance and ability to control the crowd had given him the edge over Diz.

Diz was cool, but he has that rush delivery where he likes to speed up his rap super fast and it dilutes what he's trying to say. And his weakness is crowd pressure. As soon as the crowd doesn't feel what he's saying or boos him, he raps faster trying to hope they will fuck with what he says.

Both did their thing, but Cassidy won.

If he wanted some good competition, put him up against Conceited. Both of them have punchlines and when you hear them rap you have to hear deeply what they saying cause some shit will go over the head.

Since then...written are openly accepted and people have weeks to months to prep for opponents. Most battles get uploaded on YouTube.

To generate views some guys use props and antics/costumes etc. Daylyt pulled out his dick on stage, dressed as Spawn, stripped to a Speedo on stage.

He has bars but it take more than that to get noticed in 2014. It's like game: If every cat use the pet shop opener tomorrow it would corny so someone would come up with a better opener.

I'm not into battle rap, but I decided to watch this because I like some of Cassidy's songs. Dude could spit. Anyways, I think Dizaster won. I didn't know who he was before this so I went into the video with the assumption that he sucks, but he's not bad. He's got on a good grasp on multisyllabic rhymes, which is fucking hard, and it's also why Eminem is one of the greatest rappers because he's a master at that shit. Dizaster brought up a lot of shit from Cassidy's personal life which Cas had no rebuttals for. Cas' lines were pretty mediocre, too. I can't name one line where I thought, "Damn. That's fucking sick." Dizaster has the wit, wordplay, and a comedic style which makes him entertaining to watch.

I like Cas, but sadly, he lost.

Cass dominates and clowns Dizaster's flow

Round 2

Dizaster goes in with hard personal disses and backs Cass into a corner.
Cass responds with decent rhymes but he gets completely interrupted by Dizasters side.

Hard to score basically a draw.

Dizaster spits ok but has ran out of ammo. Cass demolishes him.

Yea Cass surprised me. Although he was acting like a cunt before and during the battle, I gotta give him credit for the win. I'm hoping to see Cassidy battle Conceited some time in the near future.

I think Dizaster's diss about him not being welcome in his own hometown was good and harsh whereas Cass just called him gay in a bunch of ways and talked about shooting him in a bunch of ways (meh). To me, rapping about how he was paid so much to be there seemed lame. I'd say Dizaster did better than Cassidy in the first two rounds. I agree Cassidy did better in the last round.

Seems like battle rap could use a few more rules. Funny they couldn't even keep time correctly. Was fun to watch Cassidy rap, but how the hell was that worth $250,000? Who is going to make money off of that?

It was a draw for me. Cass raped Diz in the first round, though Diz went pretty fucking hard.

The final round was shitty on both ends, mostly because of the fans. Those fuckers would not shut up. Also, Diz was pretty fucking rude. His body language and everything showed that cass got in his head and had him shook.

Like you said you've haven't been watching and the scene has evolved: It's a live show and a combination of bars and showmanship will make you popular.

Daylty spits with aggression and is controversial so he gets view, so the leagues get $ via YouTube partnerships, so Day gets booked for more and bigger battles, thus making more money.

Forget the money, Daylyt has bars and delivery, check out his battles(avoid vs T-Rex and Dialect) because battling's the only thing keeping the culture alive.
