Bumble! tinder but the girls message first

I don't use Bumble right now. My past forays into Bumble have been quite unimpressive. I've gotten a decent number of matches despite photos that are not superb. I'm about a 7/10 in general. I always felt like I had to do a lot of swiping and texting to get the dates that I got, which were all worthless dates. They were all the variety of one date, no sex, no future in-person interaction dates. That's a waste of my time. Total garbage.
Bumble deleted. Good riddance!

I got 12 matches, and 12 conversations going on text, and the women are doing the same.
Its just a mass collective of low value, low interest text talk.
Slowly they drop out and meet onto the new shiny things.
Too many choices, too many options, all quite fruitless.

I'm getting one word openers from matches, I reply. They never message again...
Are these fake accounts?
I visited Melbourne a month ago and got a lot more matches than my home city.
About 25% of those matches actually message before it expires, of those that message about 50% become decent conversations.
Some lost interest once they knew I was only visiting fora short period.
One woman gave me her number, we talked on the phone for a bit once I was interstate and halfway through the convo interrupts me and asks if I am moving to Melbourne or not!!!
It's a pretty crumby conversion funnel

Does Bumble work better in certain countries where there are more feminists around? My guess is "yes" for countries such as Germany but I'm not too sure if there's that sort of online dating/hookup culture there.
