I have not used Bumble but I suspect that it is heavily populated with insufferable feminist and body positive types, not to say that Tinder, OkCupid, and other are not. By the fact that women send the first message and that this is advertised as the main selling point of Bumble, it seems like the app is designed to target the "female empowerment" crowd and we all know what that is code for.

Generally speaking, women found on dating apps and websites, especially free ones that you don't pay a membership fee for, tend to be spoiled for choice as the gender ratio is almost always strongly skewed in their favor. Most girls use apps and sites primarily for attention anyway (similar to how they use Instagram). The sites that you pay membership fee for can often be better because most guys will not drop money on something like that and so the gender ratio can be friendlier.

I have had a lot of success with sites on the Cupid network (___cupid.com) but generally prefer meeting girls in person through daygame and social circle game. That is a personal preference though and, as always, your mileage may vary.

As far as dating sites and apps go, you can generally make a pretty accurate prediction of what your results are going to be like overall after swiping or scanning through and counting the number of septum rings and ear gauges you see within 5-10 minutes.

I really wish there was more of a true reputation system on these dating sites. The closest I'm aware of is "responds frequently" on POF, but POF is almost all older single moms. But there should be a way to sort of downvote women for being time-wasters.

In the past couple days I have had 8 matches on the app and I just have to say there is some sort of an on and off effect to it that might just have been discussed at some point in this thread. As we all mentioned, there is obviously the new account effect to where in the first 48 hours you get a ton of matches.

I have had this odd experience with the app where I leave it and then after a week I get nothing, check back a week later nothing and then at some point I check back and I have like 12 or so likes just sitting there. I wonder if it is because of the weather since it is getting colder meaning more women are inside than going out so they are likely to spend more time on the app.

I could never figure out the algorithms behind a lot of these apps other than being a new user helps. I'd hate to put myself in a situation where I have to keep deleting accounts and starting a new one just so I can get some matches.

When I get a match, what I'll usually do is chat on the app for a short amount of time, then toss out my # and say text me.

The way I see it, if they don't text, they never were serious to begin with. It's my first compliance test.

Naturally, about 50 percent of the leads die right then and there. But as I said if they aren't willing to make the transition off the app they were never serious to begin with.

I get lots of matches and messages on Bumble but when I respond, they don't write back, but they also don't unmatch me. So now when I open the app I've got dozens of dead conversations just sitting there.

Almost every girl that responds to me has been an unattractive or busted girl that has been picked up by the autoswiper. Any reasonably attractive girl will either match and not open or just ghost whenever I open them. corsega's other posts in one of the Las Vegas threads has convinced me to go out in my city this weekend and try the night game again. Night game isn't my thing but it sure as hell offers more volume than any app or the few approaches I can do during the day time (mostly on weekends).

Whenever using any app or website, I have always felt that I was just a clown competing with other clowns to keep a girl's attention. In some places, my odds and results were better than in others but I always felt like I was just a clown. I think practicing daygame and just going outside without having my face in a screen is better for self esteem and general quality of life.

Keep your profile description short, sweet, and to the point.

It's all about the pictures, the profile is meaningless unless it's through Hinge or CMB. The answers on those pages need to jump out.

With the other profiles, the answers I provided merited more "likes" than my pictures.

Granted, I'll guess my pictures really sucked. Maybe would have gotten way more notches with better pictures.

Yeah. I did well on Tinder from 2013-15, though I noticed flaking had begun to be a problem in 2014. By 2016 it had become a waste of time. Unfortunately, getting a woman's number and texting with her produces almost as much flaking as matching on a dating app (in my experience). Day and nightgame instabangs are pretty much the only thing left.
