Don't knock Q Bar! It is choice for its 500 buffet before midnight.

Route 66 was on the agenda for tonight. How is it on a Tuesday night? Not sure how I'll enjoy the Thai music and table set up, and cost of entry is 500 baht I hear?

Is Demo really worthwhile on a weeknight? Even Sukhumvit is half dead.

300 baht entry but you get 300 worth of coupons, its pop music and is always busy.

There's about 5 of them on soi 11 Cody- How would you know which one it is lol

What time should I hit Route 66 and does it close at 2am or 3am?

Get there 11 - 11:30pm, closes 2 - 2:30am.

My first trip to BKK i wasn't a fan of thai girls for the first 2 days, on the 3rd day i went to RCA and got hooked.

Going out solo?

If so, Tuesday night at Route66 might not be the best choice since it won't be as full and you will stick out more being on your own.

Go to the end of Soi 11, turn left and about 100m down the road it's the club on the intersection on the right.

It is very quiet these days, but they will open the upstairs bar and have an alcohol buffet for 500 baht.

Not an ideal place to game, but it is great to 'pre-game' and 'pro-game'. If you have any approach anxiety just practice on the prozzies until you are sufficiently drunk / confident to go to Levels or Route.

Caught the taxi to Route 66 but didn't end up going in anyway, met a couple of fellow tourists outside and ended up at Khao San Road. "The Club" was awesome- my kind of scene. Brought an extremely attractive Thai/Japanese girl home as well bringing my strike rate to 4/4. Might go back to Route 66 on Friday. Busier then?

Pattaya is a piece of shit. Overpriced drinks, everybody harassing (even more than harassment) to sell you things, too many working girls, dirty beaches with rats. Anywhere except Pattashit.

4/4, congrats!

OP,
I’m guessing you’re in Thailand now…Skip Pattaya and spend the extra time on Koh Tao. There should be plenty of white girls who speak English there and you’ll have no problem meeting people.
As others have said, avoid the Thai clubs unless you are there with Thai people. The few times I went to them, it was more of a novelty than a good time.
If you have extra time I strongly recommend you meet up with anyone on here who lives in Thailand or befriend an expat. There was so much cool stuff I did in SEA because I was hanging out with someone who lived there.

This doesn't mesh with anything I've seen, heard from others, including posts by other members of this forum (e.g. RioNomad) and talking to young expats who lived in Thailand, or experienced myself. I have never, nor would I ever, pay a single cent to sleep with a girl, and some of the hottest girls I've ever had so far were Thai, and none of them after more than 2 dates. Not to mention that on top of that there is an open 'gik' culture (promiscuity). I remember one Korean student in Thailand expressing their digust to me about fellow her Thai students casually talking about their multiple boyfriends. Normal Thai girls are not hard.
What I found when I was in Thailand was that for most guys it’s not a question of when or if they get a “good” Thai girl it’s when or if they get a Thai girl that seems “good”. Most people aren’t there long enough to understand the culture so it’s easy to get fooled into assuming a girl is “good”. For the average guy, you’ll run into the bar girl or freelance hooker if for no other reason than she’s the one you can communicate with. Even in more expensive areas you can be just as likely to run into a sponsored girl as you are a hi-so girl. I met a retired Army guy who has a condo in BKK and the hottest chick in his building was 23 w/ a BMW and her own condo. I assumed her parents were rich but she had 4 foreign guys sponsoring her. Thailand was one of the first places where it was really in my face that when it comes to women you can’t associate money with wealth, status, class…
I have no doubt that some guys on here have pulled hi-so chicks and some have probably even found the occasional good girl but those guys are probably in the minority. If we did a poll I’m guessing that 90% of the guys who use Thai friendly have boned the same 4 chicks. Of the guys who have gotten hi-so girls they probably either had a ONS when she was drunk, met them outside the country or met them in a social circle. For most Thai girls there is a never ending struggle to not have other Thais see them as a whore which raises the bar for most foreign guys.

There is a local thai-style nightlife scene at 3rd road, close to the northern bus terminal, in Pattaya. It has a few clubs and bars with live music. This is where many of the normal Thais spend their evenings mixed in with a good amount of pros on their days off.

But still, 5 days in Pattaya are a waste of time. You could travel to so many beautiful places in the meanwhile.

Actually had a great time at Mixx disco last night. The positive for someone who likes to go all out like myself is the clubs here don't close at 2am like everywhere in Bangkok. 5 days may be too long but at least I'll have some down-time.

Now to decide whether to bother going significantly out of my way (15 hour journey there and then another 8-9 hours to next destination on the West Coast) to the Full Moon Party or catch a simple 1 hour flight to phuket and phi phi. Very hesitant because of the travelling involved and it being monsoon season on the east coast. Hardly seems worth it for one night of chaos, no matter how good the party is. Might spend a few more days in Bangkok instead?

I'm planning on moving to Thailand for a few months. I want to stay for at least 3 and rent a place on Airbnb. Here are my questions:

1. How can I stay in Thailand for 3 months? Visa Issues?
2. I'd rather bang western tourists than local girls. Where do most of them hang out?
3. I have a location independent job at the moment and can spend about $2,000 US. I need the following: decent/modern apartment/condo, gym close by (mandatory), other expats nearby. Any recommended districts/neighborhoods?

The Maximally Pathetic Schema: Xs who labor to convince Ys that “I’m not one of those despicable Zs!,” when in fact it is obvious to the meanest intelligence that the Ys see no difference between Xs and Zs, don’t care anyway, and would love to throw both Xs and Zs into a gulag.

1) Get a normal multiple-entry visa (2 months) and just get out/in every 2 months at any border. Cambodia does the trick. I've been doing back-to-back entries for 2 years now.
2) Any tourist place...Khao San, Pattaya, etc. but from my experience you'll have more luck with local girls too. Much more clean and better too.
3) Sukhumvit places in Bkk are fine, in fact Bangkok is filled with expats.

Not Pattaya! There are no white women here other than Russian prostitutes, Russians with boyfriends, or a combination of both. Game is non-existent here.

Khao San Road was awesome for a few days and I wish I stayed longer but it may get repetitive after a while.

I would go with one of the islands if tourists are top of your hit list but if not possible Somewhere in lower Sukhumvit where you are close to Khao San but also a skytrain station would be ideal.

By the way, I feel stupid for saying this but in a way I've been turning down notches lately. First I had a cute girl from the club on a string and told her I'm going home to sleep lol now my massage girl and laundry girls are both obviously hitting on me and I can't be bothered making moves. Thailand can be exhausting!

Wow, you're right. Pattaya is the biggest waste of time ever, unless you like to be sexually harassed by women. Feel like a rock star here, as I did in Bangkok, but the bar girl and hooker culture makes it impossible to run game. I refuse to even waste my time talking to the women. Good thing getting drunk and taking over the dance floor, while rejecting pros left, right and centre is keeping me occupied.

...and just as I say that, pick up the hottest girl I've been with in my entire life (easy 9/10) in Pattaya. She was Russian and not a prostitute. Surprise surprise.
