This has nothing to do with publicity. It has to do with not feeding into the feminist/liberal brainwashing of 'being the better man', or 'turn the other cheek'. I've kicked the dog shit out of men for running their mouths like this. This is 'alpha' or 'redpill'. If Roosh needs funding to get out here to Austin, I think we can foot the bill. I'll ref the fight. Semper Fi.
I know exactly where you're coming from Ali. I get it. I grew up in a culture where if you ran your mouth off, you would have to knuckle up. I respect the hell out of you for rising to the challenge to defend someone you respect, because that's vanishing from male friendships, but there's more at play here than just someone shit-talking. We are currently in a Culture War. This is about marketing and clickbait - trying to provoke an emotional reaction for attention and profit.
Even if Max loses, you have still given him a story that can be spun into page views, interviews and wider attention - possibly even from the mainstream press, since they despise Roosh. Max is the reformed bad boy who has been castrated learnt the error of his ways, versus Roosh: PUA / MRA / Right Wing Conservative / Cis White Male / Uneducated / Sex Tourist / Writer Of Rape Manuals / Probably-Southern / Literally Hitler.
As frustrating as it is, we no longer live in a culture where a man defending his honour will be respected. The intelligentsia will paint you as enacting 'violent toxic masculinity' due to your 'fragile male ego'. The combination of Emotionalism / Irrationalism / Symbolism currently at play in society means they're attracted to and fascinated by the pathetic: Max getting his arse kicked means they'll sympathise with the loser (i.e. 'victim). This will increase his following.
It would also make it seems like Roosh cares about his criticism, and, thus, validates his opinion. It's not about 'turning the other cheek' but not respecting the source of criticism enough to be emotionally-provoked, when we can recognise they're provoking to gain attention and power.
So, fighting is pointless. You can't drag a man who has repeatedly been shown to be dishonourable into a honourable masculine sphere, like a boxing ring, and expect him to respect it. If he got his arse kicked, expect a lawsuit.
You know all the shit going on with Gamergate? They gave Literally Who - a fringe feminist - power by attacking her to begin with, instead of just ignoring her, which is why they now use that name for her instead of her birth name to lower her google and twitter rankings. Smart move.
