I'll check out that Brazilian spot - problem I've had with every Brazilian place I've been to is that they salt the meats so much you lose your appetite quicker, plus they parade around so many meats when you only want a couple of them. However this was at $20 joints, so higher end spots could be different. KBBQ on the other hand isn't so salty that it'll stop you from getting super full.

Sounds like Standing out and bottle service is a must these days.
Where are all the older ones... they seem to be less "friend clingy"
I am going to hit up my host to say... bring me older ones!

Oh yeah, Lavo is no longer a nightclub but its now a lounge that is only open until 2am. Supposedly they have some private events there, and I imagine its going to be mainly focused on bottle service. Probably a good move to keep it a little more exclusive.

Drazen:
I was also there this weekend and the way I saw it was that although hotels like Wynn and Cosmopolitan had decent volume, the talent and the bachelorette parties seemed lighter than usual. MGM Grand/Hakkasan was packed and there was talent and bachelorette parties all over the place. There were also more trashy people than usual in the MGM Grand. I'm willing to bet that you didn't spend very much time at the MGM Grand, because if you had, you should have been more than pleased with what you saw. [/align]

Got back from a Vegas trip myself yesterday and thought I'd throw in my two cents:
I hit up Drais on Friday night, Encore beach club Sat day and XS Sat night. Barely slept, but it was my first time in Vegas in ages so I was making up for lost time.
Drais was my favorite club and staying near where the inside and outside areas meet was perfect for chatting up girls without the loud music distracting. XS was amazing but I got in too late (about 1:30am) due to not getting in the line early. You can pay the bouncer $20 a person to skip the line, and I should have done so. Lots of space outside to meet girls.
Hotel: I stayed at Planet Hollywood, which was right on the strip. Definitely recommend paying extra $$ for a good location. Next time I'll hit up bars at the hotel I'm staying at, as you have a better shot of pulling a girl.
Food: Sinatra at Wynn had some fantastic Italian food. Also I tried Burgr at Planet Hollywood, which had a great burger but a long time to wait in line. I had the buffet at Bellagio on Sunday but found everything overcooked, lukewarm and fairly unappetizing.
Game: Suit up and get into places early. As BasilRansom suggest, if you roll in at 10pm and get your ticket early (iwantickets.com) you save $20-$30 per ticket. Pre game a lot, but don't get belligerent drunk. My wing lost his marbles in line at XS and got kicked out.
Don't join up with random wingmen in Vegas, as most dudes have NO game. I met some fairly cool dudes here and there and we did some approaches, but all the dudes could barely make small talk. There is a lot of approaching to be done, and your best bet is to find the girls in groups of 2, maybe 3, who are out to party and have fun. Bachelorette parties generally suck, as the girls are not in a mood to socialize with strangers...unless you can meet a few of them later on the in the night once the bride-to-be is asleep.
My favorite part about Vegas is the vibe. Everyone is out to have fun. There are no curfews to worry about or even the need to drive yourself home (unlike LA). I'd go again and make a few changes:
- I'd hit the clubs from 11pm-3am, then hit up a hotel bar/lounge from 3am-6am to meet the post-club girls who aren't tired yet.
- Unless I was there for more than 2 nights, I wouldn't shell out the extra cash ($55 at Encore beach club) to drink and party at the day clubs. I'd sleep in, hit the hotel pool for a bit, nap and prep myself for another crazy night til the sun comes up.
- Your wing is so important...I can't overstate this. Make sure he has game. Mine is a good friend...who is ok with chicks, but his fashion sense needs some work, as does his over consumption of alcohol.
- I drove in Friday, headed out Sunday. Next time I'd fly in, as the drive back was long (6.5 hours).
Overall, I'd recommend staying for more nights, maybe 3 or 4 so you can game and know you have plenty of nights out ahead of you. Like any new place, it's all about being familiar with your environment, just like when you visit a foreign city for the first time.
If you HAVEN'T hit up Vegas and live in So Cal, just check it out. It has to be experienced, and from here on out I'll definitely go back in a few months. Just gotta save some cash...as it can be $700-$1000 per person based on how much you like to gamble / ball out.

I just finished up a budget Vegas trip so I’ll share my experience.
I went to Vegas for a tradeshow, and since my costs were already enormous I was looking to save money wherever I could. I also figured I wouldn’t be going out since I was there for work, however I ended up going out almost every night.
I was there from Sunday through Friday, and my first three nights were at Flamingo at $52/nt, and my last two were at Planet Hollywood at $69/nt. Planet Hollywood is considered a good hotel, just below the Bellagio/Wynn/Cosmo level and in the same range as Paris/Aria/Vdara. Flamingo is not considered to be a cool place, although the room I had was spacious and modern. As far as girls went, the hotel didn’t seem to matter as both the girls I banged were pulled back to the Flamingo.
If you’re on a budget, go to Vegas during the week, especially now. The clubs are packed on weekdays, the main difference is that a Tuesday will have three clubs that are packed, while on a weekend there may be thirty. On none of the days that I went out was there a shortage of talent. Also, with a Nevada ID (PM me if you don’t know how to get one) you don’t pay cover changes on weeknights, so that saves you $20-50 a club also.
Logistically speaking, I thought the Flamingo was very good. I pulled from Drais and Bank, and the Flamingo is next door to Drais and across the street from the Bellagio. Obviously I didn’t say “lets party at the Flamingo” but I didn’t even have to take cabs on my pulls (the line was the reason I didn’t cab it). Ironically, another time I pulled three girls and some random dude from XS to Planet Hollywood. We were hanging out in the casino and after a while the dude disappeared and a couple of older suited guys started gaming the other two girls. Their whole spiel was “We got a suite at Cosmo come check it out” and the girls gave mocking laughs and didn’t give a fuck. Anyway I wasn’t able to get my chick up to my room but I may have fared better if those older dudes had any game.
If I went with a group of friends who could afford it and we went to party, I’d absolutely stay at Cosmo because there is nothing like pre-drinking in your room and taking the elevator down to Marquee, and the whole ambiance of it all. But if I had to share a room with three other dudes, I’d prefer to use that money at a Planet Hollywood type of place where we’d each get individual rooms. As a sidenote, I brought two promo girls along with me for the tradeshow and put them in the Clarion hotel because they could walk to the Convention Center from there. I know the Clarion sounds kind of crummy, but it’s really not that bad. The rooms are totally fine, it’s not like you’re in a Travelodge, and the lobby looks good. If you’re truly on a budget, you may want to consider the Clarion. First of all, rooms are $40 a night. But you also get things like free wifi, $3 breakfasts, $5 dinners etc, that you’ll never get on the strip. There’s a monorail stop across the street from the Clarion, and the monorail stops anywhere you’d want to go on the strip. With a local ID the monorail is only $1 a ride. If I were pulling a chick back to that place, I’d tell the cabbie to take me to the Las Vegas Hilton and then as he approaches I’d just direct him to where I need to go(turn right at that intersection, then immediately left in that turnaround). If you have your girl’s attention in the cab and she’s busy making out with you, she won’t even notice.
Another thing I do to save money is I never get drinks inside a club unless I’m with a girl. If my buzz starts to slip, I’ll go out in the casino and go up to a cocktail waitress and hand her ten bucks and say “bring me two double red bull grey gooses.” I’ll then sit at a slot and in five minutes or so I get my drinks. I don’t slip money into a machine and pretend like I’m playing when the waitress comes around as that wastes too much time. Doing that once after an hour or so in the club is enough to power me through the rest of the night.

What do you do after you leave the club to get a drink to keep the buzz going? You really can't go in and out and its hard to bounce different clubs in Vegas due to lines, distance from club to club. What area did you pull from at the Bank? There are very few good areas to mack at, the dance floor is tiny and usually packed. I'm thinking the upstairs back bar area near the back restrooms was probably the best area to do approaches. To me, its probably best to get a table there on the dance floor. Just curious as I've gone there a bit more lately, but was having issues with the layout of the club.
I've stayed at the Flamingo a few times and I have no complaints. They have a decent pool for the level of hotel it is and its a great location and price. I also like it has some history from Bugsy Siegel building it as the first casino in Vegas.

In Vegas I tend to stick to one club a night. If you think about it, any of the giant clubs has more chicks inside of it than an entire town, so there’s not a real need to switch. And the biggest factor is it takes an hour to leave a club, taxi over, and then walk up to the new place, and that’s assuming you’re dropping cash to skip the line. Losing one primetime hour isn’t worth it to me.
I pulled from the dancefloor in Bank. I like that it’s small because you can see all the prospects pretty easily. I much prefer that to XS/Tryst dancefloors where you have to bulldoze through people to see who’s around. I really like Bank’s layout. You can walk around the top area if you don’t want to be around a ton of people, and from the dancefloor you can see not only the dancefloor people but also all the chicks who are in the middle row where the tables are.
The worst thing about the Flamingo is its gay name and pink logo. The rooms are quite good and overall it’s an excellent value for money. They have good late night steak and egg specials, and even at breakfast your eggs benedict is 9 bucks. That same eggs benedict at cosmo will be $22. It all adds up.
If someone is traveling cross country and doesn’t get to Vegas often, then fine, go ahead and splurge at Cosmo, getting the tables, and all that. But college dudes in Cali who have that stamina to go at it till 6am and then hit the dayclubs at 11am shouldn’t be dissuaded by the talk of custom suits and Cosmo hotel rooms. Stay at the Flamingo, Ballys or Cromwell, which would be considered 4 star hotels in any other city, hit up Ellis Island for their bombass $7.99 steak special, and grab a couple Kirkland vodka handles at costco before you hit Vegas and you’re good to go.
I have yet to hear anyone say the chick they pulled from XS jumped out of the cab because the cabbie made a right into Ballys instead of left into Bellagio.

I'm planning a trip to Vegas for Halloween. Is it worth staying Thursday night? Will definitely be there Friday and Sunday. One hotel I was considering, the rates for the whole stay were about 20% less for the whole stay if I booked three nights instead of 2.

Haha I just stayed there for LDW. I got about $400-500 worth of stuff comped, all things considered a pretty good deal. I went to the club there both nights, plenty of talent especially saturday night, but the girls there were not very slutty, saw few if any people hooking up with strangers. The club itself was nice with a dance floor that was fairly spacious and uncramped. As compared to say Marquee where you can't move. Rooms were small but I could overlook that if the scene was great. If you want info on getting the comps, PM me.
The SLS crowd may change over time. On LDW, there were lots of Persians, probably Jewish ones and Persian girls largely don't fuck strangers. (If someones argues with me on this he is are being pedantic or a troll.)
I'm not asking about hotels though, I just want to know if it's worth being there for Thursday night. And SLS rates for my stay right now are shitty.

I enjoy Thursday nights in Vegas. I usually like to hit up Tao for their Worship Thursdays. Its more HipHop which is mixed with EDM but the crowd is decent (early on) but mainly locals mixed in with some green eyed tourists. I believe Hakkasan is also open Thursdays and is probably way better since its not a complete shitshow of people.
But if it came down to Thursdays vs. Sundays, I prefer Sunday nights. My main thing is that when I do a Thursday night in Vegas, I go out that night, then on Friday I can go around and hang out and do stuff that would NORMALLY have longer lines (i.e. buffets, certain restaurants) during the day. Its also pretty relaxing.
I may go Halloween this year, just trying to get a small crew together but people seem hesitant, mainly due to budget issues and what not.
I went last year and it was very enjoyable, probably one of the most fun I had there in a while, but I think this year will be better since it falls on Friday vs. Thursday (last year people were "partying" the weekend before and by Halloween itself, people were tired of costumes). For that particular weekend though, I think it'll be good on Thursday and people will go out with costumes that night as well, not everyone but you won't be out of place doing so.

If you're trying to save money on hotel rooms Bally's can work. It's right on the strip and super cheap. The hotel is pretty dated, but it connects to Bally's Paris which is much nicer. Although watch out because they are sort of a pain in the ass to deal with (long check-in lines, no late checkout, etc....).
If you want to sped more I'd recommend Encore or the Wynn. They have a GREAT setup that you don't have to leave. Multiple pools and casino areas for macking during the daytime. XS is available for night game.

Ballys has or is opening an all gay nightclub. I'd stay away as the pools and facilities will be probably mostly gay males.

Thanks for the info Drazen.
Someone mentioned, here or elsewhere that Vegas is losing some of its energy. I can't comment personally, as I only just started going, but the increasing prevalence of music festivals could be cutting down on people's partying in Vegas. They go to Vegas less often, and when they do go, they party less hard.
LA girls are obsessed with Coachella.

Vegas isn't dipping at all, it may be random talk amongst girls who are speaking their opinion at that moment, but this summer Vegas was as busy as it's always been.
Even so, in my experience at least, the better girls to hit up are those from other states and foreigners. Socal girls can be down too, but they don't seem to take Vegas as a once in a lifetime experience like other girls do.
There are always cliques of hot Socal girls who spend the whole night sitting at a comped table at hakkassan or marquee, yet hardly drink and don't socialize, even amongst each other. Basically the same thing they do in Hollywood.

Ballsdeep, good point. I banged two girls on my last visit, neither from LA, though one makes frequent trips to Vegas. My hotel, SLS, was FULL of LA girls, from what I sensed, and they were exactly as you describe. Fairly sober, standoffish, and not getting down.
Do you recommend different venues for meeting the non-LA chicks?
I get the sense that foreigners are more inclined to stay at the center strip, in a big name hotel or the Flamingo. Not Bellagio or family oriented hotels.

It's a bit of a catch 22, in that the most popular clubs attract all the attention whores, who are often the hottest chicks. They're also mainly from Socal.
If the goal is to bang a 7, I'd hit up large, tier 2 clubs. Tryst, Tao, 1oak, the club at the Hard Rock, come to mind. No Hollywood chick would be caught dead being at one of these places, so here you get the flyover state girls who have the "whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" mindset. But when you step into these places you immediately can feel a difference. There's no Hollywood smokeshows (that at least for me) get your testosterone flowing. But the girls who are there are all available to talk. They're not hiding in the table section because most of those areas have now been converted into dancing areas. It's a happy medium, because there are plenty of good looking girls who aren't familiar with Vegas and therefore don't have the promoter connects to get comped at the better places, but they're good enough to skip the line/cover at these tier 2 places.
