Personally I think such America-specific age of consent laws are just silly. Consent is legal definition which means a person is mature enough to understand possible consequences for a specific activity (pregnancy, STDs, drama) before agreeing to participate in it. How can ability to consent to a specific activity depend on the age of the partner is beyond my imagination. It is the same as saying one can consent to oral sex, but not to vaginal sex. Which is just stupid.
OTOH it is Texas, home of GWB, so probably my expectations should not be that high.

You got my vote! But hey, all hope is not lost, a few states out there have the cut-off at 16: AL, GA, IN, KY, and MN to name a few. Legal age for sex in the aforementioned states is at 16 regardless of age of second party.

I also live in an 18 state, FL. (16 is legal up until you are 23) I turned down a girl on the beach last week because she was 2 months shy of being 18!! I wish I would have met her in GA.

Special Case:

I think young girls have so many social options at that age that they get off of juggling everyone and double- and triple-shifting. It makes them feel important and wanted to have everyone meet up at one place and then head to so-and-so's friend's sister's cousin's roommate's house and then go get pizza and then get drinks etc.

It's an extension of having several chumps texting them on any given night and the equivalent of us having six or seven bitches in an active rotation.
