Good old nanny state governments the world over.
I'm not a cig smoker but damn, let people own their own bodies.

Call it natural selection, I'm bound to die from my decisions. Later generations deserve the same opportunity.

There are many illegal substances which are significantly less harmful than cigarettes and alcohol (marijuana, ecstasy, khat etc). The whole drug classification system needs completely reformed, especially in light of the failed "War on Drugs".

What a ridiculous idea. Even if they are really 100% against smoking, they should take the same stance on it as they do on abortion - people are always going to smoke, so better to let them do it legally and just try to gently discourage them, rather than have them rely on smugglers and shady organizations.

Why can't we try to make smoking safe, legal and rare?

It will never happen simply because of the amount of money in the industry. Money > health in this line of work, and other massive organisations.

I feel you rangman.
Every drug should be legal.
My body, my choice.
Shout out feminists for that line.

If I want to die tomorrow, or slowly of cancer at 50, that should be my choice.
If you aren't measurably hurting others, it should be legal... any level of rights below that and you're eseentially government property. Theyre deciding how you use a body you thought you owned.
