Most american blondes are fake blondes.. also surprisingly short.. kaye upton dyes her hair ...
Hair too thick, much darker underneath hair color, orange tint..etc..

european blondes tend to be taller and sharper featured on average..

Lot of those exotic looking american blondes are fake blondes.. natural blonde women almost always have quite thin hair. But even the natural blonde americans I met have quite different faces....

EVERYBODY hates Americans.
Being overly patriotic mixed with zero knowledge of what is outside the bubble makes a person nobody wants to be around.

And even worse than Americans are idiot American-haters who ignorantly attempt to paint a diverse population of 300 million people with one brush.

i don't know, I find it rather funny how people try and paint 300 million people as being ignorant when, in reality, they are showing themselves as being the ignorant one.

For the average American tourist, yes it's very easy to tell the difference. Without a word being spoken. Even if for no other reason than the average American tourist would be much bigger than the average European. Among the casual tourists mostly due to obesity, but also sometimes due to guys really being into working out.

For more serious Americans, like the American girls who study French and spend a few years in Paris, say, or RooshV Forum style guys looking for a longer adventure/poosy paradise it would be more difficult to tell. The girl moving to Paris would usually try her best to look like a Parisian. It's the reason she's there. And guys travelling long term would also make more of an effort to fit into the local norms.

I probably could tell between a European and an American as sometimes you can just tell and I think I'm pretty good at guessing at where people are from. However trying to distinguish between Brits and Americans is quite hard as we just look like sicklier versions of Americans I find.

Pretty much this but even with the higher end ladies studying French or whatever I'd say generally I can almost always tell who the Americans are abroad. It's the obesity + the dress code (baseball caps, North Face, Patagonia, t-shirts, etc.) On women it's other stuff I can't quite explain now but it's pretty evident many times e.g. they don't wear heels or nice boots like Europeans often do, more flip flops and "Juicy Couture" sweats, American Apparel kinda stuff etc. It's not always and everywhere I'm right but I've gotten pretty good at it. There are plenty of exceptions of course.

I also think the diet and use of GMO, preservatives, tons of HFCS and whatever evil other stuff American foods are laden with also makes us look different. Seems to be more acne, bad skin, etc. In other words, it's the food too I bet.

I'd say most Europeans are fairly friendly to Americans but in some ways sort of look down on them, especially due to how obese we are and also due to our continuing unpopular wars and presence abroad and 'realpolitik' global military ventures. Many years ago I think we might have had that "new kid on the block/look at them they are doing things better than the rest of the world/freedom" thing going on but those days are over.

Conversely, I think if you're an American in Europe with a "USA #1" attitude (and in complete support of our nutty, corrupt foreign policy) nobody is going to put up with that sh*t. Maybe that's where some of the "Europeans don't generally like Americans" storyline is coming from.

To me it's because us Americans are so obsessed with our teeth. Pretty much every American has had braces and has had dental hygiene drilled into our heads. When I'm traveling that's how I spot Americans the easiest.

White Americans lack in general the sharp European characteristics.Being it the square Germanic chin, the slavic high cheeks, the toned Mediterranean eyebrows etc the Americans lack most of them as they are result of peculiar combinations that never took place in Europe(Italian-Irish mix etc). This mix has the result of making American characteristics more blunt. When I see films of the "30s or 50"s there are many Americans who look like typical Germans,Scandinavians etc but in nowadays films I cannot spot  one American who is hardcore Germanic.
Almost all the famous actors in Hollywood have mixed heritage. That is the reason Germans,English etc in USA stick out they have the archetypal characteristics largely eclipsed in America.
In my opinion most white Americans look like Germans(30%) with some dominant English(20%),Irish(10%),Italian(10%),slavic(5%)and 20% of mix I cannot understand the origin.
Unfortunately the mixes did not produce any special appearance in women I attribute it to economics.(eg slavic legs or Mediterannean butt are no way dominant in America).Interslavic megafucks in EE as well as Slavic-German Slavic-Mediterranean,Slavic-Hungarian combinations produced much better mixes.
A big problem is that certain attractive features like the slavic shapely legs are recessive meaning if a German man and a slavic woman mix the daughter will have the ridiculous unshaped Germanic legs.On the other hand the big slavic nose is completely dominant meaning the girl for sure will have the big nose instead of the symmetric German nose. These natural financially marriages(rich German or English guy, slavic poor but attractive female) took place probably in mass in the US while in EE the communist safety belt produced a substrate for the most extreme beauty combinations(not that this was the intention of the commisars).

I noticed the same, and the reasons IMO are:

- higher cheek bones
- sharper facial features
- redder, more symmetrical lips

In general. In my experience. etc. There are lots of Europeans (especially Germans) in my area and I can instantly tell.

I'm British and I live in the US. Thankfully my teeth are OK and I've never needed braces...I can't say the same thing for a lot of British people. Whenever I watch British TV shows, I now notice how crappy British teeth are. Even members of the Royal family have shitty teeth.

Americans dress very differently to British people. One big giveaway is white socks. Most British men would never white socks with sandals or flip flops. I used to work in central London and It was very easy to spot Americans. It's also rare to see British guys wearing Cargo shorts in hot weather in UK.

America is 300 million people, with around 75% of them being 'white' and completely mixed up as far as european genetics and only getting moreso. There are white americans that look like every way a white person can look.

The biggest sources of european immigration to the US were UK/Ireland, Germany and Italy. More recently we've had eastern european immigration but this 'look' may be a bit underrpresented in the population. Additionally Spanish immigrants were more likely to move to Mexico or other places in central or south america.

We can argue about the american style and lifestyle that effect the way that americans look, but you have to acknowledge the diversity in the US. European countries are more likely to be a lot more homogenous in their genetics/looks and it's probably a bit absurd to generalize white american genetics.

I've noticed quite a few times, asides language/clothes and gestures I almost always can tell apart a group of white americans from Europeans, Is there a genetical reason to explain this?

I have done research and looked at random pictures of americasn in social sites and I'm almost always spot on, unless the american is first generation immigrant, whose parents were born abroad.. the person looks almost always quite american. The only european nationality I get sometimes mixed up with americans are usually the British Isles and Ireland, but that doesnt apply to people on groups, rather on individual basis.

Would you agree with my observations? For example I noticed many white americans have often rounder noses and less specific facial features, even those who claim being mostly german, polish , or whatever nationality.

There are many people who I wouldnt see fitting anywhere than in the US

I dont see george bush passing for non-american in Europe, he has a very american look on himself, same with many american people I've met/seen on the past.

I've lived in America all my life, and know white Americans when I see them anywhere in the world.

I think Europeans tend to have more prominant features..I am talking about non Anglo's. Maybe its just me..but I see the girls with bigger features. Eyes more deep set, bigger brows. Not in a manly way though..quite sexy.
Both genders tend to be more narrow boned than Americans. For example a guy who is skinny in USA might be considered med/avg in many Euro countries.
I hate the brighter clothes with logo's that is common though.

I can almost immediately spot the difference between an American or German when standing in line at the airport e.g....Americans are usually much broader and bulkier while Germans are taller and slimmer/ more "narrow boned". Also, Americans usually have much deeper voices for some reason, I rarely ever hear people speaking with such a deep voice in Germany. Some of it may be attributable to convention but I'm sure there are also genetic factors involved.

Despite the flaws we've mentioned with Kate Upton. Goddamned she looks delicious in that photo. Yes I've seen her without makeup and I know she has a flat ass, but she just really does it for me.

Australians could always spot Americans visiting by the way they dressed:

- baseball cap
- bland bagging white tee not fitted
- baggy 3/4 shorts
- anything that says "North Face" or looks like camping gear
- anyone wearing sneakers when it wasn't gym time

I can spot some Australians in London provided they are wearing any of the following
- very short shorts
- flip flops
- curly mop hair / stubble
- a nice button shirt with short sleeves not reaching the bicep with some kind of print
- casual demeanour

When I was going to Germany on a business trip I wanted to see if I could pass as a European. I read on the Internet that Europeans can tell Americans by the way they dress (light colored blue jeans or khaki chinos and baseball caps) and their facial expressions. Americans apparently look everyone in the eye with a "Hey! Let's interact!" expression on their faces.

So, on my trip I wore only dark colored pants and put a serious, closed expression on my face like I didn't want to talk to anyone unless I had to. It worked. In Bavaria everyone I interacted with talked to me in German first. The airline counter rep at the Munich airport even told me she couldn't tell that I wasn't German until I said something to her. It was a fun experiment.

I've always taken a "when in Rome" attitude.
That said, in Japan, Anglos there always took me for a Canadian or Aussie.
And in the states, strangers say I look "very European," or "You look like some kind of English actor." (Guilty: I have a lot of English/Irish/Scots blood).

Ultimately, it all comes down to frame.

I don't smile, and the clothes I wear are very neutral in color/style.

I must be an outlier, though I'm a 13th generation American.

Well Americans are easy to spot in Europe usually. First of all you have attire.

North Face Jackets(For Germans it's "Deuter", British "Karrimor")
Non-designer Jeans(often pulled up to waist)
Check shirts
Baseball caps
Sweatshirts.

Also despite being in a city centre, they like to dress like they are climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.

Americans have the whitest teeth in the world, Brits have much worse teeth, but even their teeth are good compared to most Eastern Europeans

Then of course Americans are known to be loud, you can hear them from afar

I was born in Seattle but spent almost all of my life in Europe

All the comments about clothing are definitely true: I have never seen a european wearing white socks that go six inches up their calves, nor wearing baggy basketball or cargo shorts that reach well below the knee.

Speaking to Americans, I have worked out the teeth thing.

In the UK, we have National Health Service dentistry free for all children. You get braces free only if it is medically or orthodontically necessary here, not merely for cosmetic reasons.

In the US with only private dentists, cosmetic dental/orthodontic procedures are just a matter of course for everyone with the money to go to a dentist.

American girls and British girls are usually distinct from most Europeans by their tonnage.

As for how to tell them apart...

1. British girls wear much more make-up, and show more skin (or flab whichever the case may be)
2. If you see a group of white girls, and one is East Asian, they are usually west coast American (sometimes aussie too)
3. A group of white girls with one girl being Indian, is more likely to be British.
4. A mixed group of black and white girls, with none obese, is more likely to be French
5. British girls drink more
6. British girls are usually a bit better dressed, but that's not saying much

The big difference is the make-up.

Yes I can tell the difference especially since I used to be highly attractive to slavic looking women. I've met women from majority of countries (minus many middle eastern and african countries) and can tell when I'm interacting with a korean chick (I watch so many films I understand their rhythm) from other asians. Only thing I sometimes mix up is Scandinavian girls with german girls, they have that same upbeat rhythm, the stylish ones dress similar and they aren't super skinny like most EE chicks.

P.S...Only recently started finding certain american looks attractive, texas has the hottest american chicks IMO, east coast hipster Americans have very clear faces.
