Must have been scary as fuck to open the body bag up.
Coroner: "Open it!"
Assistant:"No you!"
Coroner: "Poke it with a stick"

The only reasonable explanation he could think of, Howard said, is that Williams’ defibrillator, implanted beneath the skin on his chest, jump-started his heart after he was placed in the body bag.
“It could’ve kicked in, started his heart back,” Howard said. “The bottom line is it’s a miracle.”
Ha, called it. I thought to myself "I bet this dude had an ICD" as soon as I read the first line of the story. Leave it to Mississippi to think the best explanation for the heart restarting in an 87 year-old man with an implanted defibrillator is that a supernatural being waved a magic wand and made it so.
2,000 years ago they would start a religion around him.
1,000 years ago he would be burned at the stake.
Today? Cool story, bro.

I wish he just got out of the bag and shouted "Surprise!"
Catholics don't believe Christ came back in physical form. It was more of a spiritual revival.
Having worked in hospitals, I know exactly what happened:
- Patient's heart beat slowed down and he went into a coma with a very slow breathing rate
- Nurse glanced at patient for a second, not long enough to notice the slow breaths, and said, "Good, he's dead, less work for me."
- Nurse calls doctor. Doctor is busy so he tells the nurse to send the file down and he will declare the patient deceased. Doctor never actually examines the patient to make sure he's dead.
- Patient ends up in a morgue. The cold pushes his heart in ventricular fibrilliation, which activates his ICD. His heart starts beating normally again.
- Hospital spins this as a feel-good miracle story, when what really happened is that the patient was never dead in the first place, and was actually the victim of medical negligence.

It's going to be one hell of a lawsuit.
I wonder if his life insurance was paid out
There is simpler explanation for it. He is a zombie.
