I agree with the comments that he's found kind of an unrepeatable niche.

It reminds me of some of those travel guys, who write those blogs/books about how to live life traveling the world making money off blogging.

Of course a few people can do that, but you can't tell everyone "do what I did!" when what you did relies on thousands of people wanting to emulate you. Obviously it's a small niche for just a handful of people who make money by others wanting to live vicariously through them.

In this case it's more a dude who leveraged some youtube fame to travel around Russia, but make no mistake what he did took balls and dedication. Making edited videos like that isn't easy, especially when you're traveling around to post-Soviet industrial shit holes while teaching all day and partying all night.

But it's hard to know what to take away from this. It's not like another dozen guys could just copy what he's done and be successful.

I'm giving serious thought to copying this model and doing it with Latin America instead. If I could have this type of mini-celebrity teaching English to people in Colombia, Argentina and Mexico I'd be set. But I don't have his charisma. No where on his videos does he claim or brag about getting pussy like crazy. There is no way he is even sleeping with 1/8 of his students as he mentions in his videos he is very realistic about getting laid in Russia. The romance of game got killed for me, when I realised how much of it comes down to logistics and playing the numbers game. For any guy who is just trying out on game, i suggest for him to take that advice. Go out and approach, the creases in your game will iron out, after you do it 10-20 times.
