btw do you know if there is a time limit on this deal?
I wanted to wait a few days until 12/13 to make the purchase. Since I am a BAMOFO.

It says they sold 1602 and that there are 10+ left. Whatever that means.

Midnite thanks for the suggestion.
So I looked into the first pack and it's 600 D Polyester:
" The 600d polyester means 600 denier. It is a fabric widely used in the manufacture of bags, industry and garments. It has features that include, it is waterproof, anti-static, tear resistant and flame retardant."
I also found this,
"Is 600 denier polyester more waterproof than 200 denier polyester?
Answer
waterproofing depends by the type of the weave and chemical treatment at the time of
finishing of cloth. Denier refer only for fineness/ thickness of fiber, filament and yarn."
So it may or may not be waterproof but I'm tempted to get the first one as like you said it is pretty bad ass. Good looking out

I have never had issues bringing hiking backpacks for carry-on.
My guess is that they'd only have problems with it if you're a big fatty.

After reviewing a few, the LA police gear backpack seems to be the best choice for me.
The first one is bit too much with the tactical stomach straps and whatnot. The reviews also say that it can start to smell really bad once wet.
I just need something to tool around school with and not look like a school shooter. The LAPG seems to have nearly all the features of the first one in a more well-designed, consolidated package.
Also, not sure if you guys care, but the LAPG backpack has MOLLE webbing for carrying all sorts of stuff like pouches, canteens, knives, etc. Definitely a plus. It also has rave reviews, almost too good...

This is why I like the forum. That's a great deal too. Might get that one when I don't want to stand out.

The thing about the LAPG is that if you read the reviews they all sound like the same person wrote them lol. They are praising the backpack a little too eagerly.
Nonetheless ill order one in a day and let you guys know how it goes.
