Getting about 5x more matches than in South Korea with the same pictures on Tinder, not to suggest any of them will go out but it's a good start.

My current profile I am approaching 300 matches. But a huge number are no responses and sometimes I get 10 matches in a row of women who are "15 - 30 kilometers away" (and they swiped on me first).

One has to realize this is such a tiny country so a woman who is 15 - 27 kilometers is probably in another city altogether (such as Keelung). Traffic and inefficient city-to-city transit means it would probably take up to 2 hours to get to those girls (if they don't flake or something).

But this could imply women in 3rd tier Taiwan (places where foreign men almost never go) could have desperate and clingy women but when I went to those sort of places the quality of life was low (like no sidewalks, ancient looking buildings and you need a scooter. Taipei is a world class city but a lot of the other Taiwan cities show the real Taiwan: a 2nd world country that's more like an Eastern Europe?).

First day met three girls from Tinder.

First one looked really young said she's 22. Genuinely so skinny not sure I could bang her and wasn't that attracted to her. Funny thing is she turned out to be the prettiest. Cut the date short with the next girl coming. She texted me later with something like "thanks for the drinks anyway".

Second girl was waiting 20 minutes in the lobby. Went down and was massively dissapointed. Had some lunch with her and cut it short with the third girl waiting. Third girl was no where near as attractive as the pictures, so I just used her as a tour guide going around the city for an hour. I just flew from South Korea and suddenly it is the dawn of chunky girls.

Went to Omni (Wednesday night) it is a girls night but it was a proper sausage fest for the few people that were there. Perhaps I went to early (~1:30), and I was by myself. It looked like I was still in London, mostly white people (nearly all guys) with some asians in the mix. That's not what I came here for. I thought fuck it and got out of there.

Never tried Omni but your report on Omni echoed my experience at the Brass Monkey. I went to one of Brass Monkey's Ladies' Night (Thursdays) and the gender ratio was out of whack (predominately men) and a lot of white guys. Funny enough a lot of middle age white guys in groups. I guess they never got a memo that it was a hookup bar or they were playing the game too.

So the bar situation reminds me a lot of what I saw back in Hong Kong (too many men and not enough Chinese women. Although Hong Kong had a lot of Filipinas / Indonesians to even it out. Taipei doesn't really have them so the atmosphere is a sausage fest as a result)

Funny enough one can walk around Taipei and look at the locals' bars (not the tourist traps or hookup bars) and you see them full of Taiwanese guys. So it's just a cultural problem with women in Taiwan.

I booked like 120 or so days of apartments in Taiwan. So I'm stuck here for awhile. I want to go take a look at the Philippines next. And I might go get a visa to visit Pacific Russia when it's summer time (a good way to avoid the intense Asian summer).

Went hard on Tinder yesterday but little luck going on getting any girl out in the rain. All "busy", many busy watching netflix. Just rain providing an excuse for lazyness. Sitting on ass binge watching netflix is a global epidemic. Some Russian girl said she's going with her friend to a club, tried to hit them up but completely ignored it (they probably didn't go anywhere).

Then a girl messaged me around midnight out of no where, as usually happens, saying she was in a nearby area but we could meet for drinks but that she doesn't have much time. As for all the dates I just invite them to the hotel. Met her at the hotel lobby she went for some alcohol, I went for a smoothie. She had the hallmarks of being a good chance for a ONS - has tattoos and lives by herself.

She said she was hungry and there were no restaurants open this late. I told her we can just order some room service instead. So went up to the hotel room and ordered. Had some food. A little later went for the kiss which she rejected, "we just had dinner". Then she told me to take a shower, which appears to be the equivalent of "do you have a condom" in the west. Had a quick shower. Then I told her to shower as well. She showered for a good 15 minutes and came back in her underwear. Then had sex and she stayed over until the morning.

Yes I regularly get the "I'm busy" response from Taiwanese girls. I never had any proof but I always took that as code for binging on streaming sites / social media. Or in the worse case the woman has 5 foreign boyfriends at any given moment and she's picking the best looking one to hangout with.

The more and more time one spends in Taiwan the more the guy will realize women here aren't relationship material. They're just "too busy" (see above). Honestly at this point I think it might be easier to get a relationship with an Eastern European girl (if you can somehow get around the 90 day tourism visa limit).

Third night. Woke up and went sightseeing and shopping in the morning. Fired up good old Tinder (it's good to know this piece of shit still has a use case in some countries if you're not Chad Cocktum). I have consistently been getting 50-100 new matches a day. The girls are fucking flaky though as mentioned and come up with ridiculous excuses, but it is a numbers game.

Anyway out of the dozens and dozens of numbers got one girl on LINE. I couldn't make out what she looked like as her pictures only had face shots which is usually a really bad sign. I asked her straight up if she's skinny. Her response was to send a naked picture of herself where you can even see her pussy. I did get my answer she was skinny. I would later find out she has a tattoo.

As per standard procedure arranged for her to meet me at my hotel lobby. We went to the hotel bar for a drink. I'm done with alcohol for now so had a smoothie and she had a mocktail. I was acting aloof well because I've already seen her naked, if only you could pyschological think in that way in all dates. The "already seen you naked" grin on your face while sipping your shitjuice.

I told her let's walk around a bit and checked out the hotel. Then went to the hotel room to chill. Then she was all over me and she was fun.

I do have to say all the girls I've met here have genuinely felt like good girls, as in genuinely good people and hospitable (one girl even took me on a tour around the city despite knowing I wasn't into her). Not just on the dates but in everything. This is something that is very rare in many countries, and a good reminder that your future girlfriend, fling or whatever else doesn't need to be an entitled cunt. There are other options.

I guess this girl is possibly an outlier. This kind of easiness is rare nowadays even by SEA standards. Sending a naked pic after asking about weight is slut territory. Taiwan and china are definitely on my list next year as SEA becomes harder to get decent quality lays...

5 foreign boyfriends or one Taiwanese boss.

Taiwan has the longest working hours in the developed world, and the labour laws introduced this year just make it worse. In extreme cases, up to 12 days without a day off and 8 hours between shifts. They do their streaming/chatting at work.[Image: banana.gif]

Gender ratios shouldn't be a problem, due to the number of foreign wives and all the men who've left to work in mainland China, There's like 10% more women then men. That and Taiwanese women are Japan-tier in their age defying looks, so the effective ratio is even better.

As for transport, just get a scooter if you are there for a decent amount of time.

Not really had a problem in any SEA country in terms of lays, it can definitely be as easy as this many times over. That said have been doing this shit for years, and do have shit going for me. I have had easier dates than this I actually had a drink with her. Her sending a naked photo was a bit odd, but I made clear by that point that I'm only looking for fun and she got the message and went along with it. Of course not all girls are like this, but plenty are.

That was what surprised and impressed me from my (fairly limited) experience with Taiwanese girls. They were very non-bitchy and straightforward but in a sweet, gentle way, non in a manly way.

What would you guys rate yourselves on a scale of 1-10? Tinder hasn't treated me so well in Taipei when I tested it out there. but then I only tried it out for less than a day.

Is the city already plagued by "6' 5" Swedish surfers" or is it just loser English teachers?

No, but it's the Plan-B of increasingly more "loser English teachers" as M. China becomes increasingly intolerably xenophobic. WGF will go from low to negative.

I'm not going to bad mouth Taiwanese girls (IMHO, the highest long-term RMV in Asia). But the structure of the society is one massive cockblock; When they aren't working 25 hours a day, they're staying with their strict and nosy parents or at a curfewed dormitory. Jaygg is right, for casual fun, Thailand would give a far better ROI.

I'm in an area of Taipei that isn't particularly touristy and was walking around at 6 AM. I figured I would get some exercise in before the temperature went up to 25+ celcius.

I actually did see a super blonde white man hanging out with 2 girls ~ but he was likely British. Imagine a better looking Michael Fassbender but with blonde hair. So this white guy who was a 8 in the face is gaming local women who were 3s - 5s in the face. Yet that's the kind of stuff I got to compete with here (even in the winter months)

And then in Ximend I saw this kind of stuff on the regular.

To my understanding Korea only has like 8,000 foreign white men teaching in their English visa (the so called E-2). Taiwan is a smaller population and has less schools so it ought to be a smaller number here. Meaning in all likelihood the young white guys you see in Taiwan are just guys traveling here as a side trip to Thailand / Philippines or even came here for sex / dating / pua tourism. So it's very hard to be considered exotic here. Tinder is easier than western countries sure but it's not like Nairobi Kenya where you can get 100 matches within 30 minutes.

Edit:

Well sure you can see Michael Fassbenders look alikes in Thailand too but my memory of Thailand in 2009 (and looking at Thailand vlogs from 2017-2018) is white men in Thailand seem older, fatter and uglier than white guys in Taiwan. Practically every white guy in Taiwan seems to be under 35 and fit and has no problem dating down and I've seen quite a few with fat women.

Yeah I booked 4 months of apartments. It's just weird to come all the way to Taiwan for women who are so busy I can only see them once a week or biweekly. Even though they're common in the west: never really met a woman here who was unemployed or only worked a few hours a week.

There are benefits to life in Taiwan such as low crime, cheap (varied) street food and foreign income tax exemption seem good. But the female situation was worse than I expected.

I am already thinking about trying Thailand or Philippines but I have no idea how easy it is to meet a chill girl there (and I don't mean the stereotype like the 55 year old man who "reforms" a bar fine girl into a girlfriend / wife).

Thailand already has a lot of young, good looking, fit foreigners these days. Just go to Khaosan Road. Albeit most of them only stay one or two weeks and primarily have girlfriends with them or chase other backpackers. The rest are digital nomad or are just living there. Youtubers like David Bond market to these guys. Funny he gave up on Japan and Taiwan and chose to settle in Thailand.

How are Taiwanese girls in public during the day? Do they seem friendly, approachable? Or do they walk around with a scowl and bitch-face?

One of his big griefs with Japan were the women overworking and being unavailable. I don't recall what he said about Taiwan girls but it's likely the same.

Bad fashion choices and small breasts ruin it for me. Often a poker face in public too.

There's actually some good areas for daygame in Taiwan. Despite the women claiming to be "busy" - I've been to places like Dunhua during weekday work hours and the place was full of women (probably lied to work and used a sick day). Like you just don't see a man there unless he's over the age of 60. But yeah figures women prioritize shit like Netflix and accumulating credit card debt in places like Dunhua over meeting guys.

Hey guys,

I will be in Taipei for at least 1 month from 1st of February. And probably 1 or 2 more months in Taiwan but then, more like travelling around the country than staying in a specific place. From my research, being close to the blue (Bannan) is an absolute must if I do not want to be far from everything. I understand Zhongxiao Dunhua is the best area.

Unfortunately, I feel that my 600/700USD maximum budget for rent (just for rent) is going to be pretty low for this shit so... basically, for a good mix of nightlife / nice little not too expensive restaurants / young crowd / good life / etc. etc., what are the other areas I should check out ?

What type of stuff do you expect for your apartment because 600-700 can get you an apartment in central Taipei.

You don't have to be on the blue line, if you are doing nightlife you'll be taxiing it anyways. Zhongxiao Dunhua is pretty much the center unless you are only night gaming in which case you might want to look at being directly in Xinyi.

I paid 800USD for a small studio in an older building but I was 200m from Zhongxiao Dunhua station and with food options literally right outside. If you want space and comfort you are looking at no less than 1000-1100USD in the same area for a short term stay.

Xinyi in a nice apartment you are looking at 1400USD for short term and I'm probably being generous. Guting/Shida on the green line has cheaper rooms, but its just a room, it will be very small like twin bed and open your suitcase and no room small. Guting runs about 700-800USD for short term stays.

Green line around Nanjing Fuxing has some nightlife but honestly its subpar, think 30+ year old 5s.

Hmm maybe I should give this thread an update or drop a datasheet.

What I do expect from my flat, since I will spend a lot of time sleeping AND working in it, is to be very modern and comfortable. Can be very small I dont care, but needs to be quite new / have a nice king size bed, a nice table to work from and a good sized new television to watch netflix and stuff from time to time. For 600/700 USD, I guess I need to be quite outside of the center if I need that for short term (at least 1 month though, which already lowers the price). Also definitely needs to be close (5 min. walk maximum) to MRT and some good areas to eat ... otherwise I know myself : I tend to not do much and spend much of my days in the flat not motivated to move out because of distances and stuff.
I like night-gaming and will do it but no more than once a week so it's not that important.
Oh and if I am close to one of the mountain parks etc., very good as well : I love (and I mean absolutely LOVE) trekking / nature so... [Image: smile.gif]

I am probably going to spend the first week around Taichung though : have been invited to spend Chineese new year with a Taiwanese family from a girl I banged here, in Phillippines, and I sure want to live this kind of awesome experience.
But I guess I don't see myself living outside of Taipei if I don't want to feel ''too far from everything''.

@endeavor hustle , an updated data sheet would be awesome [Image: smile.gif]
