ROK Page Up for FB Ban -- Time to Fight Back

Yesterday I left a comment saying that when feminists do their "report and ban" thing on Facebook two can play that game.

Well, game on. I just noticed Roosh posted on Facebook that a page called Wipeout Sexism on FB is trying to get Return of Kings' Facebook page banned. Here is their post about it.

What the post says is:

"We've been sent this page for reporting, many have reported under hate speech.

Here's a (SIC) article from their website for further proof of their misogyny, it's called '24 Signs She's A Slut' and yes, it's as bad as you're imagining.

*Trigger warning: enraging (SIC) misogyny*"

Now it's time to see if we have strength in numbers. I would prefer we report just that post as harassing ROK, because reporting the page itself will probably get us nowhere. But do whatever. The point is that it's time to stop sitting back and watching things get banned.

And another thing: "hate speech" (a questionable idea anyway) is comprised of words along the lines of "Die f*ggot!!" or "Kill all the Je*s," none of which is ever said here or on ROK (and if it is the commenter gets banned). So the people behind this FB page are, in fact, harassing ROK by claiming "24 Signs She's a Slut" is hate speech. It an unpleasant idea to some, but doesn't really qualify as hate speech per se. So letting FB know the ROK FB page is being unreasonably harassed is actually the honest thing to do.

If you look at how Facebook uses the 'report page' feature, they don't give you any option of describing what you think is wrong with the page. This leads me to think the key is to just get as many people to report as possible.

I did it on fb mobile and it lets you choose from a list of reasons. I chose harassment.

Hope it works!

Yep. Not surprising. We'll be seeing this more and more.

This is a good test case and we should fight it hard. Whether they succeed or fail, every such attempt should be fought and we should be taking notes and making adjustments as needed as we go along. This is just the beginning.

Things to stress (at least what comes to mind immediately):

-- Like DoBA says, we have to repeatedly hammer the idea that there is no "hate speech" on the site. There are no calls for violence against anyone and if there are people get banned. There are expressions of opinion. Just because someone doesn't like them, that doesn't make it "hate speech".

-- Show that the RoK facebook site gets a lot of traffic. I'm not on facebook but anyone who is, should "like" the site.

-- Point out the diversity of RoK. It is a site for men, there are articles on a great variety of subjects. The idea that it's a "hate site" of any kind is self-evidently ludicrous. Give a sampling of articles published during any given week to show how various and indeed civilized it is.

-- Definitely report the feminists back for harassment as the OP suggests.

Whether or not we win it's always good to get these points on the record.

same old shit, sixes and sevens Shaft...

It does give you that option. Click the link that comes up and you'll get a list of reasons to choose from. I chose "Hate speech", and then "Gender related" from the dropdown that appeared.

I also noticed a few comments saying that facebook had review the ROK page these fems are trying to report, and found that it does not violate fb terms.

Well, let's report it back. I'll pop a wine bottle if it blows on their faces.

The comments on the ROK post are amusing [Image: womanhamster.gif][Image: lol.gif][Image: lol.gif][Image: lol.gif][Image: lol.gif][Image: lol.gif]
THese are the funniest:
"I reported the page and got told facebook reviewed it and didn't find it breached their community standards. Oh facebook you fail so hard."

"Effing F**kbook!! Just got "it doesn't violate our community standard on hate speech." It's clearly run by men who support misogyny."

Apparently they are soooo much smarter than facebook admins who review hundreds, if not thousands, of pages per month...
