No surprise that low T betas make better family men. I'm sure there are those out there who argue that being a father is the epitome of masculinity, but the truth is that men with higher T levels are more likely to be taking risks and chasing tail, not necessarily the best traits for a stable family life.
OR
Maybe it has something to do with the changing familial roles for men in our society (feminization of western men), with an accompanying change in the societal definition of what make a "good father".
Either way, it looks like the sackless will inherit the earth.

Causality? If you have big balls and end up a diaper changing trophy husband do your balls shrink? Old news that testorone drops when your partner squats out a kid, so it could be family life shrinks balls, not small ballers being selected into family life although probably some of that.

And what do these higher T males do when these women they are chasing get pregnant?
The study seems to suggest that they just become less involved fathers. Are you suggesting that getting a woman pregnant/fatherhood might have an effect on testosterone?

I remember a study stating a negative effect on testosterone when getting the wife? pregnant.

I wonder if women are like those xenoestrogenic plastics or soy products where constant exposure from living with them causes hormone disruption?

Sounds like junk science to me. Also framing 'nurturing' as a better 'family man'.
There is no such thing as a successful species that doesn't want to breed.
Higher T, thus you'd assume bigger testicle men, are how evolution shaped 'more successful' men. They couldn't have remained successful if they didn't want kids AND impose manhood on their sons.
Higher T men should want kids, the most healthy sexual response for any male is to look at an attractive women and think "I want to get her pregnant".
However, being a good father, or family man, isn't about changing nappies 50% of the time. it's about imparting masculine ideals into sons, and shaping their role within a masculine framework with daughters.
Low T guys would have women run the house, and daughters disrespect him, ultimately that's a dysfunctional family.
