Your career in relation to picking up

To what degree do you guys think your job, and specifically your work environment and attire make an impression on women ?
I will present my situation as a template and maybe you guys can post yours.
I work in oil and gas in northern Alberta, they pay is more than I could get anywhere else but basically I always look like shit. Now when I go into cities, I see guys who work at cell phone stores in the mall looking pretty sharp in a shirt and tie. I cant help but think they are better "suited" to picking up despite making less money.
Women are superficial so the image is very important. Lately I have been considering transitioning into a sales role in an urban center for 2 reasons
1) I can dress well everyday
2) I think PUA is selling. Whereby a good PUA will also be a good Salesman. Salesmen are always talking and interacting with people, conversing and projecting image.

My work is almost entirely male dominated, the way it should be.
Due to my work environment being male oriented, their isn't much chance to game at work. Sure theres some females here and there that we end up interacting with, but none are that special and I don't shit where I sleep. However, a good percentage of the guys I work with are quasi red pill. I have learned many things about game from interacting with the older more experienced guys. The line of work calls for some limited travel, but more importantly gives me tons of interesting stories to talk about. Working out is also included in my daily work duties, so I get paid to stay in shape.
We wear uniforms to work, uniforms that always gain a lot of attention wherever we go. Most of that is errands on the way to and back from work. Post work grocery shopping is money.
The line of work itself is a big DHV. It is rare for a woman to not be impressed and ask follow up information about it. I then hit them with a few select stories, and proceed to game.
I also videotape some of the jobs we do with a Gopro or Contour camera, that makes for easy bait to get them back to my place to watch the videos.
Overall, my line of work increases my attractiveness level and definitely puts certain girls on easy mode (One specifically told me the initial reason she banged me was because of it), but solid game is still required.
God'll prolly have me on some real strict shit

Biggest lie ever told.
That you need money, you need to look like money, in order to fuck bitches.
You don't.
Now has my suit wearing gotten me some pussy that I might not have gotten otherwise? Possibly. But I don't spend my time ironing a 3 button jacket into a 3 roll 2 because I might impress some random chick @ seminar or conference. I do it cause I need to look right to talk to clients, colleagues, opposing counsel, and judges. The guys @ the top of the pecking order, the super rich clients, they don't wear suits. They wear whatever the fuck they want to.
In the world I'm in, where every dude is rocking a suit, the women flitting around the scene get more charged up when then damn UPS dude drops off a package, or the water cooler guy changes out the Ozarka. Real talk.
And the Verizon rep in the loud tie and too big dress shirt with the name tag isn't getting pussy cause he's "business casual".

Bro, this is a non-issue. If you feel under-dressed, suit up. But to answer your question, yes my pick-up improved but not for the reasons you laid out.
The biggest improvement is money. I can buy girls shit. Sushi aint cheap. Drinks for her and her cockblock GF are not cheap. I don't spend time worrying about a 20$ cover charge. I can slip a bouncer a 50 for getting me in past the line when I am rolling through late. I can park at valet w/out tripping out about the 8 dollar charge. That type of stuff. Lets you not sweat the small stuff which translates into big "game improvements".
The suit is ancilliary- because yes, "power clothing" conveys status- but the key underlying determinate in my improved success is increased cashflow. If I was broke, rolling around in a suit wouldn't solve anything.
Edit- I knew a mechanic that used to mack mad women. He had a T-shirt w/his company logo and used to swoop mid 20 year olds. Its all how you swag it.
WIA- For most of men, our time being masters of our own fate, kings in our own castles is short. Even those of us in the game will eventually succumb to ease of servitude rather than deal with the malaise of solitude

My career has gotten me laid a lot. That said, I know a lot of people with the same career track with eternally dry cocks.

When I was a little kid, I saw a waiter in a very nice uniform working in a fancy restaurant. I told my dad, I wanted to be like him.
He knew I said that because I just looked at what he was wearing as a kid.
now, how old are you?

VIP Hosting = more pussy than you know what to do with.
Suited of course, but in the past I did construction, UPS, just about every damn job imaginable and I've always pulled.
Work with what you got. Make $ bro, don't trip about what a chick thinks.

probably above average in terms of a career that presents opportunities to pick up.

My career helps a lot. Then again, I live in a place were the saying for ladies is that "the odds are good, but the goods are odd." So being a stable lawyer among criminals, runaways, fishermen and roughnecks helps out quite a bit.
As people have mentioned before, being the guy who sticks out is good.

That is definitely a good point in regards to associating with the people up here in the Oil Patch. They say you can judge a person by the company they carry and I can say I am fearful of the daily conversations with these roughnecks trickling into my sub-conscious. I sometimes talk to my inner self and stay focused to not get caught up as it seems 90% of the people here make 100k but 90% don;t even have 10k saved up or worse are in debt.
I was glad to here the is a fellow RVF member who is focused and travels and takes advantage of the money up here rather then succumbing to the trap of monthly payments of lifted diesel trucks.
It doesn't take much savings to fund a good lifestyle, especailly in cheap places like BKK.
For example $50,000 invested i CHB.TO would provide you with $262 per month for doing absolutely nothing.

$262 isn't much here, but It can pay for a modest bachelor in A suburb of BKK, or save up $150,000 and then you are earning almost $800 a month for doing NOTHING.
Basically that is my goal of coming up here.

Your job doesn't matter, your ability to tell a story does.
Guys who can't paint a verbal picture in my line of work come off as a khaki short wearing park ranger, put the same job in my hands and I'm an exotic traveler that faces death and danger at every turn.
Most women buy into stereotypes, link your stories and work to the positive ones and it doesn't matter what you do.
OP for example Girl says "What do you do?" "I work in oil and gas" Oh no you don't, this is your job: "I travel all over Alberta trying not to get electrocuted, blown up or set on fire"
Why do the heathen rage and the people imagine a vain thing? Psalm 2:1 KJV

I agree with the other posts. It is about how you tell the girl what your job is rather than what you actually do.
I'm a lifeguard. I've also been a bartender. Obviously they aren't the best paid job but I can use it to get a girl interested.

I'm doing (non-paying) creative stuff now, barely living off investments. Women are very interested when I say I make films, even though I qualify it right from the start that it's "micro" budget.
If I hade a miserable 7-10k to make a feature so I could pay cast and crew $50 per day each, with $100 per day for DOP and sound, they would practically be throwing panties at me. And I'm old!
They're just so totally controlled by their vanity that the idea of being in films overrides all their YoungTallCool seeking programming. If they are being paid, it legitimizes it for them so they can feel "professional" and be sluts at the same time.
