My buddy used to work for INS Tampa and still has friends there. He tells me where the pockets of any type of girl are. Asians are in Pinellas Park it's in the center of what looks to be ST. Pete on the map. Strip mall city pretty much and older block homes. Lots of Asian stores, Restaurants.

Russians in New Tampa, Polish in Clearwater etc etc...No need to leave here really.

Can we go on FL tour? I mean why should I spend $700 to fly to DR when everything is a $200 flight and rental car away. Yeah, maybe not as easy, but still.
Why not? And you can do this...

Has anyone busted out a Tampa Strip Club report?

I have played around with the idea in my head of posting up near Mons Venus and Scores Tampa in a hotel for a weekend (or during the week, maybe even better?) and just spitting. Real close to the airport too.

El Mech, what is your thoughts on that plan?

Anyone done this?

So what is the biggest difference between St. Pete and South Tampa? I'm going to be working in South Tampa in a few months and 90% sure it's ideal for what I'm looking for, but I'm just curious as to how the cities differ in terms of women, nightlife and all that.

South Tampa is a fairly large and spread out area consisting of a number of different neighborhoods, mostly residential with a couple of nightlife areas: The SOHO (South Howard Street) area is primarily 20-something, college/university bars. The next neighborhood over is Hyde Park, which is much smaller with a somewhat older and more upscale crowd.

St. Pete is is a smallish downtown urban area with a nice waterfront (think bay, not beach) with lots of bars/bistros/cafes and a couple of music venues. Its more bohemian with a diverse mix of all sorts of folks. There have been several high-rise condo projects built there in recent years, so a fair number of downtown residents.

If you're looking for a beach scene, you won't find it in either of these places as they are both facing the inland waters of Tampa bay.

Most of the beach action is in Clearwater Beach and St. Pete Beach. Interestingly, St. Pete beach is not particularly close to the city of St. Pete, the two being separated by several miles of strip malls and suburbia.

If you live in South Tampa, you should live near Bayshore if you like to jog or bike. If you want to live logistically close to the bars, you could live right by Howard in this pocket that is within walking distance of a number of the ones with the slutty white chicks:

As far as strip clubs, Dale Mabry is where a few of them are. So is the Bucs stadium. After a game, you can walk to the strip clubs. There is also one near the airport that is called Thee Dollhouse. Honestly, there are probably 35 to 50 strip clubs in Tampa alone, so you should sample what you can stand to understand what is out there.

While unemployed in Tampa for more than a year, I visited maybe 10. One is called the Pink Pony and was sketch as fuck, but I received a quick blower in the back room from some nasty meth skank. She tried to hustle me for a drink when we first arrived, so I got her a four horsemen just to watch her drink it. She wanted an appletini but I insisted. She ran off to go puke and fun was had by all.

The thing is about Howard Avenue and the rest of the bars nearby is that you will be hanging out with strippers and not even know it. They will be out partying and then all of a sudden roll into work to make some spread. They will bring you along with them back to their place of employment. I don't have much of a desire to visit strip clubs anymore after Tampa because I watched how much they try and hustle you. You can't even relax in the well known ones like Space Odyssey 2001, Mons or Scores. One girl left a permastain on my cream white khakis since she didn't wipe her ass before riding on my crotch that night. Embarrassing. They don't give a fuck if you show up blacked out of your gord or if you fall alseep on their benches outside. Good luck.

I could easily do one of these for Miami if there's a demand.

BTW, there's a cheap Howard Johnson hotel in Tampa like right in the middle of all those strip clubs you mentioned. I actually stayed there once but it was a really short trip for me (like 2 or 3 days and I had business stuff to do).

I have to be honest, I didn't love Tampa. I drove past Pinella's park and it looked like a run down trailer park, St Pete's had nice sand but boring.

Clearwater beach had some action. I think that would be my hangout.

Hulk Hogan is from Clearwater : ) Couple of the bartenders told me he stops by every once in a while...

I would appreciate your take on that.

Maybe tack it on to here: http://www.rooshvforum.network/thread-17528.html

That is exactly what I was eyeing.

So cheap, you could rent out a whole floor.

Any good restaurants around there?

If I remember correctly, it was mostly cheap Americana food like Longhorn, Chili's, and Sonic. I think you'd have to drive a bit further to get the good dining. I don't know that area too well though, like I said only stayed briefly.

I don't think it's Miami! I've been to Tampa,Miami and Orlando, and out of these 3 I'd say Tampa had the friendliest girls, and Miami had the hottest ones.

They have this funny upscale Hooters on Dale Mabry near there called the Brickhouse Tavern. I swear they must have hired the strippers to work there to wait tables during the day so they could go strip and hustle more at night. That whole town should be called Hustle instead of Tampa. I learned how to hustle online to live because there were no jobs. Then I just sucked it up and moved back to DC. I got a job in a couple of weeks like I had never left. [Image: sadwave.gif] I miss the weather and the sluts, so maybe it is worth a trip back to try to hit up Clearwater Beach more instead of Tampa.

Does anyone have any intel on any pockets of bars that are close to USF? I drove by Busch Gardens and that whole North Tampa area before I moved back. It just seemed like a steaming pile wasteland compared to Hyde Park, SoHo and the Bayshore neighboring neighborhoods. Ybor was gross in my opinion. You'd find the fat chicks over there.

My vote would go to Clearwater beach. Its very walkable, no car needed. There are trolleys in the area (which are gaming opportunities in themselves) that provide transport from Clearwater Beach all the way up to Tarpon Springs and all points in between. You can ride all day on a $5 pass, game in one spot for a while, then move on to the next.

St. Pete beach is rather large and spread out. Clearwater Beach has a more concentrated geography which presents more opportunities and better logistics. Presuming you are in one of the better-situated hotels in Clearwater Beach such as Pier 60 or Shephard's, you can easily pull back to your place from just about anywhere on the beach. In St. Pete Beach, you could find yourself miles away from your crib.

I don't have any intel, but I did want to cosign your steaming pile wasteland assessment as compared to the South Tampa neighborhoods you mentioned. USF is a pretty big school and there must be some bars up there somewhere, but based on the crowds I saw on a Saturday night a few weeks ago at The Cork, McDinton's and neighboring SOHO bars, I think all the USF students must drive down there to party.

I did a data sheet on Naples not too long ago. Naples is SWPL capital of the world. Forum member Lothario largely confirmed a lot of my data sheet. Have a look. PM me if you have any additional questions.

@Male Defined Good thread on Naples! You going to be around this summer? I am booked up until July

@Bone Daddy I thought Clearwater was a lot more fun than St Pete's..

I am surpised all of you are hating on Key West. I went there 5 years ago for St Patricks day and it was insane. Here is a picture I found of me opening a 3 set at "Irish Kevin's".

Don't ask me why I didn't get a hair cut before this trip....

I can't wait to find out. I have never been to Vegas and I'll be there in August for work. My boss warned me that I will be fired if I do not show up for work at the break of dawn, so I may just reserve my playtime until after the work is done and catch a ride back after using vacation time. I did that for work when I first visited Tampa and was hooked.

So is there much difference where in Tampa to choose to live? I'm looking at either a place right on Gandy Blvd.

Good location? Right now it's my first choice from all my online searching.

Thanks for your help everybody.

Gandy is kind of far from the nightlife. It's at the end of Bayshore, or the start of it all the way before the sidewalk ends in downtown. You probably get a little more for your buck down that way.

You should cruise through the neighborhoods in Hyde Park (and Historic Hyde Park North/Old Hyde Park) and SoHo. A LOT of landlords post signs instead of posting rentals on Craigslist. I got a HUGE one bedroom for $825 in Old Hyde Park that way just by walking outside and seeing the sign before anyone else, about two blocks from Bayshore and about a 12-15 minute walk to the bars on Howard.

If you're going to live closer to the bars, the Post Hyde Park is more luxury cookiecutter and allegedly has tons of hotties living there with lots of pool parties. If you live closer to where I lived, you're in the dead heat of where all the action is for Gasparilla. Downtown is a freaking ghost town. You may get some life out of Channelside, but it seems like it needs a defibrillator to get some life into it. Davis Island is questionable; it's off on its own. Westshore you get more for your buck, but you are basically living by the mall and closer to the airport. Ybor is iffy, but you may like it more if you are into latinas and fatties. It is like a trashier version of Adams Morgan in DC. I rode on a stripper bus that went back and forth on 7th Avenue while fat black strippers poured jacked up drinks in solo cups. The one ugly white stripper gave me an over-the-pants-handjob in the back of the bus while she begged me to pay her phone bill. Here is where you should stick to if you choose to live in Tampa:

Yes and have it locked down. (work on employees/managements cars)

It's gone downhill.

It's close to the famous strip clubs though

Those girls are pretty much all hookers but you may catch some new ones that aren't too polluted yet. My cousins wife works at Mons for years now she's part of the family. I'm talking about like 16 years.

Those are short term furnished apartments, they fill up during conferences the one in Tampa has many strippers living there. I'd bet you could pull continuously without ever leaving the complex.
