Now I feel better about being so unsuccessful in GDL. I thought I was the only one.

I'm going to be moving to GDL in July for a job offer (mostly for the experience); blonde, blue, white, 30, no Spanish. When I visited I will say there was a lot of visible interest and eye fucking going on when going out at Chapultepec etc as well as interest on Tinder, I think gringos can do pretty well in GDL. That said, I will have time to learn spanish and build my network over someone who is visiting only for a short time. Though I do likely plan on eventually making my way to Sao Paulo most likely after a good year or two run in Mexico, and I always love Medellin if the right opportunity arises.

I was also thinking of using Mexico or Brazil as a home base but one thing I don't like about Brazil is if I learn Spanish I can't really use it there. I can use spanish in Mexico, Columbia, Argentina etc. basically all of South America but Brazil is the only country that speaks Portuguese in SA so I can't really use it in other countries and it's less of a transferable skill.

The only way it would make sense for me to also go to Brazil is if it is easy going from Spanish to Portuguese. Will people in Brazil understand Spanish? And if not is it really easy to learn Portuguese if you know Spanish?

What did you mean by average? I don't get it. Did you mean average beauty ? Or, in the bed?

You will be fine either way. I went English-Spanish-Portuguese. If you learn Spanish first it will be easier to learn Portuguese. If you learn Portuguese first you are learning Spanish at the same time. For example,. Brazilians in California always work in food service of some sort, they learn Spanish with virtually no effort. Don't get too caught up on the details. Make a decision and go for it. I didn't plan my life that carefully.

I agree with this, I do believe knowing Spanish will help me with Portuguese. Sure, it may make more sense to go somewhere like Colombia after Mexico so I could apply the Spanish, but I also really like Brazil, and Brazilian women, and efficiency isn't my number one goal.

Don’t feel bad your not the only one. I absolutely killed it in Mexico City DF, but here in GDL been here for less than a week and I’m already plotting my next move. Honestly leaning towards Playa del Carmen just for the sheer difference in women. I like DF but im burned out on it. GDL has overall better quality but they ain’t talking bout shit. I just need to figure out the best way to get there.

Coming from a guy from Texas who got bored of American women found some solace in Mexico City from 2017-2018. Now I’m 2019 I’m looking for the next spot. Don’t get me wrong I like Latina chicks but honestly just being around some European women would be a breath of fresh air. I really need some variety. GDL is not cutting it.
