Best cities/countries for Latino American guys??

I've seen that a lot of it is inside your head. Let's say I am with my cousin in Spain. We Colombians have a totally rotten reputation in there, we may as well say we are gypsies. He comes to anyone, girls and all, expecting to get horrified reactions to his answer. They of course don't react well; I just tell them I'm from Colombia and I believe I'm the most unique motherfucker in 5 kms around, and it works in my favor. This even worked a couple of times in LA, out of all places.

Exceptions apply, of course.

Question to all Hispanic guys on this forum. When people in other countries ask you what your nationality is, what do you respond?

American
Mexican-American, Cuban American, etc...
Mexican, Dominican, Puerto Rican, etc...
Latino
Hispanic
From the US
From the United States

I had this problem when I went to Argentina. Being Hispanic from the US kind of fucked our identity up. I was asked where I was from and when I would say the United States, they would not believe me because my Spanish was very fluent and near native and my accent was clearly Mexican one. How do you guys combat this problem?

I am NOT of hispanic blood dissent, even though i speak Spanish fairly well by learning in college ... and subsequent practice ( so that makes me hispanic, no?) he he he..

Anyhow, Midwest, it seems to me that the way you formulated your question is a little bit ambiguous b/c sometime when people ask these kinds of questions (are we referring to girls asking?), they are really asking about something other than what they originally had phrased.

For example, they will ask, where are you from, and then you proceed to respond by saying i am from the USA, and they say that was not what they were asking.

Frequently, girls (and even guys sometimes) want to know about my family ancestry - whether it matters or not may be another good question. I frequently tend towards some variation of the truth, yet sometimes, I turn this into a game by giving some ridiculous answer - such as mexico or spain, and frequently the girl will say, oh really.. and I could play along, but usually, I do NOT play that for too long.

Other times we may want to get through the topic fairly quickly b/c we do NOT want to play any games with this girl , so we give some plausible answer that may or may not be the truth.

With a girl that i just met, and I am flirting, I think that a good idea will be to start out with a wrong, vague, but plausible answer, and see how that plays out. The subject may change along the way or it may trigger you to ask her questions about herself, and you may not get back to her question... however, other times, she may just keep getting back to asking the same question or some variation of the question. which may go to test and to demonstrate her level of interest in you.

If she is NOT playful, and you are still interested in her, then it is easy to come up with an answer that you are willing to live with, even if it is not true. You could say, that my great great grand father was from Mexico, and he moved to the USA in the 1800s... and i've been from the USA ever since... but of course, I do not look that old... I learned Spanish in elementary school.... and I was a fast learner. Whatever your story, it may NOT matter so much whether it is actually true.

Usually, I cannot keep up a false story that is too far off from the truth for too long b/c I am not very used to doing it - unless it is embedded in my head that I am going to tell the same story to every one.. from this point until the future... but that is just me.

My Spanish is NOT very good, so it is pretty rare that I get mixed up with native speakers, except for those times when I interact with girls who neither speaks good english nor good spanish, and those girls may believe that I am a native spanish speaker.

I just say I'm brazilian [Image: tongue.gif] but I think I face the same problems a lot of ppl face here also: not being recognized as a person from your home country.

When I was in Europe and people ask me where I'm from and I say that I'm from Brazil, people always say "really? I thought you were german/dutch/canadian/american" lol

I'm from the south of Brazil.

Yeah I know two Brazilian dudes. 2 of them live in my dorm, 1 I share my bathroom with. 1 is from Curitiba and the other one from Porto Alegre. They came and introduced themselves to me at the beginning of the semester, and if I was a betting man, I would have guessed that they were from Europe somewhere. But when they said they were Brazilian I was like "oh". He was shocked that I was American and I was shocked he was Brazilian. We were both shocked haha.

here in the US, i get asked that a lot what I am, since I can pass as a North-african, an arab, or an IRT. I just tell people that I am Mexican, and if they want to get technical, I tell them that I was born in the US.

Hello guys. I'm planning a trip to Poland and I'm thinking of making a pit stop in Germany. I'm a tan, brown eyed, black haired Latino (Mexican-American) and I'm into white girls. From what I have been digging up in this forum, it seems like Munich would be a good choice. What are your recommendations/advice as far as cities for a Latino like me in Germany?

Certainly, I do NOT know the answers to your questions (b/c when I was in Germany, it was a long time ago - and I have NOT been to poland - even though I had a polish girlfriend for years), but another guy may be able to help you.

At the same time, since this is only your second post on RVF, and your profile does NOT say too much about you, it may be helpful to know a little bit more about you and your experiences with game and/or travel and/or activities... and what kinds of things you usually do, and what kinds of places do you go and what are your expected dates of travel.. approximately... Usually, do you do day game or night game, and what languages do you speak... do you speak polish or german or spanish or russian or some other language(s)?... and what has been your successes or failures in the past and in what kinds of environments.

This is just my opinion that it would be helpful to have a little more information about you; however, some guy(s) may be able to respond more substantively to your questions without you providing additional information.

Jay - thanks for the feedback. You are right - I got a little ahead of myself - so here is the scoop:
I'm in my 20s and I suspect would fall under the "beginner" category. I do day and night gaming locally (Pacific Northwest) but haven't ventured into fruitful territories like all of you guys. In fact, this March (mid-late) will be my first trip outside the North American continent. Nothing is concrete, but I am considering Poland as well an additional one or two pit stops. Besides my native English language, I speak fluent Spanish. As I stated above, I'm a tan, brown eyed, black haired Mexican American and have a weakness for white girls.
Bars and nightclubs have been my pickup place here at home. I must admit that my success rate is probably not as high as most of you fellow forum users. Granted, I don't go out as much locally because of the lack of talent (girls) and often shortage.
I'm looking forward to contributing and reporting back after my first endeavor.

Hell yeah, England is good for Latinos. I stayed there for 3 days before eventually going to Argentina on my way back from Belgium, so take that with a grain of salt. I did ok in London. Note that there aren't many Latinos in England especially Mexicans (I'm Mexican), so girls don't really have a general idea of what a Mexican looks like, that is until this guy came a long.

^^^ I was there in 2011 at the peak when Chicharito took England by storm. Chicharito over here, Chicharito over there, Chicharito everywhere. Manchester United fans idolized him, Arsenal and Chelsea fans despised him, bitches wanted to fuck him. I kid you not, when I went out and told girls I was Mexican in London, they will make renferences to Chicharito. Many girls will tell me "Wow, you look cute just like Chicharito" even though I look nothing like him, and one girl told me "wow, you got little pea eyes" A tan skinned Latino with game will do very well. Again I was only there for 3 days so take that with a grain of salt.

Again I went in 2011 at the height of Chicharito fever that took over England. So maybe now the whole Javier Hernandez thing has dwindled down. But I think you'll get faster success with British girls than with American girls that's for sure since British girls don't really have that mentality where every Mexican is an illegal with brown skin. Many people actually thought Mexicans kind of looked like people from Spain.

Are you thinking of going there?

I do find this thread kind of funny, I never understood the whole Hispanic thing in America. If you come to Britain or most parts of Europe for that matter, they will just assume you are European, but from the Southern countries, Spain, Greece, Portugal etc. Javier Hernandez to me just looks Spanish to me and thats what most people in England would think of him as being even if they know that he is Mexican.

In my opinion, the more different you are from locals, the higher your chances are. From that, I would say Scandinavia.

I am considering it Midwest but not London. I would take on the smaller cities and towns. Constitution I don't think ANYONE understands it because it doesn't make sense but I don't get what's funny about this thread. It doesn't seem to be any different than black guys asking how they'll be perceived in X country or white guys asking about Asia or Peru.

That's interesting. One thing I notice is how if you happen to be Latino you'd have harder time in say California but British and northern European girls will love you.

On the other hand, given that in England/Belgium/Holland is hard to score even a retarded turtle if you're from Eastern Europe, than logically it should be far easier to score American girl(if you're from Eastern Europe)?

I mean the logic should apply but I am not counting on it. I still think that for Latinos mostly all places worldwide are piece of cake except for maybe Texas or California. But as an eastern European I'd say it's good idea to avoid western Europe...and maybe America, but just "maybe".

It doesnt work always that way... and going by that logic they'd rather prefer a black (more so if westernized) guy than a Latin american one, considering the former is even more different/exotic to them.

On topic, I do think Its central-eastern europe where Latinos get more valued... All areas surrounding poland but more specifically The Baltics,Poland, Czech, Slovakia and Hungary.

Imo far east european women are not much into latinos.

1) russian women are more racist/hold more bias against non-european men, they seem to be largely into wealthy western european guys (UK, NL, Germany, Scandinavia). Some of them seem to value pure european features (very blond hair, blue eyes, fair skin, etc)

2) Ditto for Ukranian women, although maybe not as much..but there is even a bigger language barieer.

3) Women from Belarus are socially headed to mate with their own.. Its seen as negative to date foreign men in Belarus.

This is LOL CRAZY dude where did you find this??? Some of those Japanese girls are NICE! I have to go to a lowrider show up there to see if I can hook up. In my experience Japanese girls were the hardest to hook up with. When I was at university at WVU we had a TEFL school with a big group of Japanese girls that would not even respond to me. I never had a huge attraction to them because I like athletic girls the most but still Koreans, Japanese and Chinese seem really into status more so gaming them was tough and other avenues were more fruitful so I just gave up. It's funny to see how this subculture gained ground somewhere. Lowrider magazine used to go to Japan all the time but I always assumed the Japanese like the technical aspect of Lowriders such as beddancing mini-trucks and car hopping hydraulics. I can't believe they got into the fashion as well. When I was in Miami I saw some S American kids get into this scene as well. Crazy!!

Ask chochemonger and Fret Dancer. Both of them are Hispanic and are quite familiar with Asia.
