A Review of Masculine Style

I've had a lot of success with girls this fall, picking up some really young, hot, and fun women. I attribute part of this to the increasing development of my game, but a huge part of this was because I updated my wardrobe. I used the “online consultation” services of Tanner Guzy over at Masculine Style and because of him, both my knowledge and skill with fashion, especially men's fashion, has increased dramatically.

If you don't know who Tanner Guzy is, let's start with a pic:

He's not exactly like us. He's more of a monogamous minded man. But don't be fooled. Style transcends sexual habits, and this man understands how to look good. And if you use Tanner's services, you too will also look good.

How can I speak with such confidence? It's because I've employed Tanner's services for nearly four months now, asking him for continual advice with regards to color combinations, clothing construction, and accessorization; everything he has told me to do has improved the reactions I get from everyone.

When I was at the RVF meet-up, men complimented my style even though all I was wearing was some jeans, a V-neck t-shirt, a bracelet, and sneakers. To them, it looked like I had thrown on some casual Friday clothes ready to rock like a hipster.

What those guys did not know about my outfit was that the color and shape of my v-neck t-shirt was meticulously selected to match my complexion, based on Tanner's profiling of a photo I had sent him months ago.

The jeans were carefully researched to match my needs as a dancer, having a tight fit around the waist area with a specially designed gusseted crotch to resist tearing and match my hip movements. The pants were further tailored based on Tanner's recommendations to keep the pant legs cut narrow.

The bracelet was a nice little item he found after pouring through many catalogs until he found something that complemented my vibe.

Girls quickly notice me in a crowd but it's not because I'm peacocking or using loud, flashy colors. All that's happened is I'm wearing a look that fits me so well I catch the eyes of others. In short, I stand out, while fitting in.

And it only cost me $25 bucks + 10% of my new wardrobe. I spent around $250 on new clothes with Tanner's recommendations, which means I paid Tanner Guzy $50 to look damn good. When I think of all the cash I've wasted buying shit clothes over the years, it's obvious that Tanner Guzy has saved my future fashion budget hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars.

I went to him with requests for clothes specific to dancing, but I could have just as easily gone to him looking for clothes as a biker, or as an older gentlemen looking to run suit game, or as a snowboarder. Give him an identity you want to become, submit a photo, and he will help you become it.

Tanner Guzy is a strong buy. I give his service five-stars. Any man who is unhappy with their current clothes and wants to drastically improve their look ought to consider his services.

I'm getting ready to renovate my wardrobe. Will definitely get in touch with him.

How'd you come across this guy?

Maybe you have a better picture but I don't like what he is wearing. Those jeans are far too skinny for my taste and the shoes which I looked at first, look cheap.

A Review of Masculine Style

I'm a fan of the content and have been following his blog for probably about a year now.

Since then, I have changed the way I dress, and have definitely noticed how others notice.

Other men tell me, "dude you look like a badass."
This 19-year old kid that I know through a mutual friend says, "damn I want to have style like you"
There's a busboy at my job that calls me "Hollywood" and another that seriously asked if I'm a model.

women... well who cares what they say, I'll tell you I notice more ACTING attracted to me.

I'd say the blog has given me an improved sense of style. I regret not getting in on the discounted Style Evals he was doing back in August or September, but at least there's the blog to read.

Tough for me to buy new clothes in those months anyway - it's so hot you want to walk around in as little as possible. Winter however...

For younger players, he's the fucking man. If we were all big ass business partners, I'd still do business with him.

As a youngin, I always had an expressive style. It was a mixture of the tough and gritty streetwear, but also with that scene kid bright shit and Pokemon hats. He was able to help me transition into my 20s with a badass style. I can keep those elements that I had as a young crazy beta stalking scene girls on facebook, but with a flair where that shit looks cool as fuck.

Anyone know any good cameras that's cheap, but can take very high quality shots? No homo, but if I was a bit more fit I'd def model for his style of choice.

Tanner is a badass. I made his logo for him so he gives me style advice. Went shopping today and had him help me out, plus he helped me get a badass suit a few weeks ago. Easy to work with and a super cool dude. I'd highly recommend his services to anyone.

Damn I regret not getting in on that deal in august. I keep telling myself "oh I'll wait till my fitness goals are achieved" or "ill wait until I have a job to buy clothes" before I get a consult. Might as well start dressing well now and combing thrift stores for good items.

It's all good West. At least now you know he doesn't play around.

I think what's good for our generation of players is to keep improving in many aspects at the same damn time.

Right now buddy I'm improving my style game, my appearence a lot of shit so that I can look fucking good. I'm skinny as FUCK compared to you prolly. But I will say as a friend of yours, count on tanner to make you look good overall style wise.

Pics coming soon! I'm doin pushups damnit! Keep it gangsta guys!

Cool review. I'm very meticulous about every buy for my wardrobe, and take seemingly little things--like complexion and shape--into close consideration. Even sales people back off the bullshit when I start talking about bad stitching and ugly breaks. I just did my bi-annual wardrobe inventory, where I go through everything, try everything on in a full-length mirror, and pluck out the nasties. I then go and buy the things I need to fill the gaps, or resurrect forgotten, but cool, pieces. Right now, I'm in search of a slim-cut, plain, short-sleeve white button shirt that would go with a skinny black tie, sweater vests, and V-neck sweaters. Ideally, it's not too wrinkly (linen) or crispy (cheap-ass cotton). I bring a lot of stuff to a (legit) tailor (i.e., an old dude, not the cleaners).

Like Samseau says, I know I've accomplished my goal when my shit looks effortless, youthful, and casual on the one hand, but flattering, timeless, and cool on the other.

A side benefit of spending mental time and energy on this is that you end up naturally talking to well-dressed (read: hotter) bitches about style and fashion without even trying. In fact, I talked to a cute little French girl tonight about her "awesome Parisian shoes." If you do it no-homo, and you seem stylish yourself, it comes off as serious DHV. I talked brands with a chick last week, and clowned the "tackiness" of her Burberry stuff.

A Review of Masculine Style

So last night. I came up with the craziest, but coolest idea. It was as if Tanner and Tuth was telling me what cool shit to get.

So I was a lot of cool things that night. I wore this black fedora, and this purple dressed shirt and I had this old looking toy gun. But I also had some current shit, a pair of levi 514s, a pair of some ripped brown vans, and Tuth's awesome idea.

The white V-neck was painted in blood red with the exact same text that he had thought of. I never knew I had swag like that before. But after hanging with you guys I found some swag. And this swag almost got me raped last night. But I lost my phone on some stupid shit. It's all good.

And Tuth is right. When you dress nice you can talk even more cool shit to the shawtys. When I was taking pics with these girls (god they were cute), I was like "Yo come closer so we can do modeling shit". And we took some badass pics I tell ya. I'll PM you guys the pics just to be on the safe side.

Nope.

I'm filling out the form right now, and I'm having a little trouble with the skin color section.

Ruddy beige, fair beige, pink baige, peach, fair olive, light olive, dark olive, ruddy brown, medium brown, dark brown?!

I've never even heard of half of these colors before! Remember, your service is for newbies who don't have good fashion sense, they aren't likely to know advanced color terminology either. Examples of what these colors mean would be helpful.

I'm working on that. Style is my forte not web development. Just choose a color and make sure you submit good pictures so I can correct it from there if I need to. I'll tell you what your tone is after getting a good look at your shots.

Is there any deal if you do a basic consultation and then later go for the online?

I see you ask if you’ve done a basic consultation as one of the questions for the online consultation.

Tanner, good work!

I have been following the site for quite a while now and besides the good content it's awesome to see you transforming this from a hobby to (almost) a full time job to support yourself and your family.

One question: why don't they make good jeans in 34" waist and 36" length. Height is supposed to be a sweet advantage but good jeans are the bane of my existence.

Thank sixsix. I'm glad you're liking the site.

I honestly have no idea why retailers don't sell those sizes in store. I would imagine they're fairly common. My advice is to try on something in the correct waist size at the store and then order them online.

sixsix, try APC jeans. The length on them is just about 36" for stacking. I wear APC New Standards in 34" waist and love them. If you want a skinny jean, try the Petit Standards.

we've got a different style sense here in Europe I guess, always dressed well and worn clothes that fit, but Tanner and his site opened up my eyes to new possibilites, especially those I call timeless style with fashion from the 60s that can still hold up in the modern age. Great site, and we're very fortunate with the cheap fashion stores we have over here where you can pick up a lot of what he's highlighted on there (Zara, H&M, New Look, River Island, Next, etc)

Just wanted to say how fantastic this service was.

Prompt replies, flexibility and tailoring to a specific look (in my case, masculine sans the 'jock' look).

Bought the clothes Tanner suggested and have already been getting loads of compliments. Didn't realise how important colours were - and why some shirts looked better on me than others.

To sum up - it was a worthy investment and will keep his tips in mind when purchasing more clothes in the future.
