Everyone saying you cant eat a lot of carbs, and havent always been naturally lean, please post pictures with your faces blurred out. I want to see how "ripped" you actually were when eating 300+ grams of carbs a day. Once again, if your naturally lean from genetics, you dont count. I want to see a before and after of a dude eating 300+ grams of carbs a day and their transformation. Enough with random dudes talking in a video. Lets get some picture evidence of a personal transformation from people on this forum saying they did it high carb. It seems like there are 2 or 3 people arguing against everyone else. Are you the Exception to the High carb rule or the norm?
Show me one example from one of you arguing to eat lots of carbs. I went from 20% down to 8%(veins visible on abs) by following a very low carb diet. Im talking less than 100 grams of carbs a day, and they are only coming pre or post workout in a 30 minute window. I'll gladly post photos with the face blurred out.
And this isnt bragging or hating. Just because your genetics allow it doesnt mean everyone else can get away with it. If we look at everyone as a whole, most people will lose more body fat when doing a low carb diet than a normal or high carb diet, even with total calories being the same.
Im not trying to hate on anyone or be controversial. I hate when the few people who can get lean when eating high carbs try to tell everyone else they can too. Your the exception, not the norm. Its like saying because you were blessed with great looks and born into money that people dont need game to get girls. The average guy, the norm, will need game to get girls. LOL its the same thing with highcarbs and getting lean. To get a 6 pack or to 10% bodyfat (which is veins in lower abs), the average guy with regular genetics is gonna have to go low carbs.

I'll say it on both threads. In your picture, obviously it is working for you. Your in great shape and I respect that. But thats not the point. From your overall mass and musculature, your not the average guy. The average guy cant eat 200+ carbs a day and be as lean as you are.
Yes it works for you, but "broscience" works for "bros" who are "the average guy". Dexter Jackson routinely eats hamburgers when he diets down for a contest and still is in phenominal shape, but that doesnt mean everyone else can. I respect what your doing for you, but how many people have you trained with your dietary approach that also got as lean as you?

I have a lot of guys that work construction for me in the Dominican Republic and they are all ripped. They have high carb diets. Rice and beans everyday, bread, yucca, potatoes, etc.

The whole point of wheat belly is twofold -
The premise is that genetically modified dwarf wheat has appetite inducing qualities in that two slices of bread will spike blood sugar just as bad as a couple of tablespoons of table sugar. Repeated large increases in blood sugar causes a myriad of health problems.
Avoid these health issues and cut out all wheat carbohydrates and (depending on how intolerant you are of grains in general), most grains and watch your weight drop.
You can basically accept that wheat = bad and skip to the "how do I implement this into my life" chapter and still get enough of the science to be convinced. I can't take a book seriously when it reiterates the point that wheat is bad about eight thousand times.
The only part of the book that really piqued my interest involved the section on pre 1950s America and how women simply did not exercise, nor were they fat. The explanation given for this is that the genetically modified dwarf wheat had not yet been invented, so the only people who were obese actually had gland issues. It's really interesting that wheat is unique in creating giant fatasses, considering that potatoes and similar starchy carbohydrates have been around forever.
This is compared to modern day where people exercise like dogs and still remain fat, even triathletes (some of whom are carrying an extra 20-30 pounds).
