Has anyone here ever had a cyst?

I've got a lump where the groin tendon connects with the ball sack. Hopefully it's just a cyst [Image: confused.gif]

It's about a cm long, under the skin, circle that doesn't hurt when moved around.

Had em on my neck and under my biceps since I was a kid - removed a few times when I was really young but they always came back. As long as I don't irritate the area too much they pretty much never recur. Probably been a few years since I had any problems.

Yep. I have two on my neck. You can't notice them unless you're look really close. (One you can't see at all. You need to feel for it.) Been there for years.

Was gonna have one cut off, but it's a pain to have a cut heal on your neck (since you're almost moving the neck and therefore irritating the incision site).

It's never cost me any bangs, so whatever.

Yes. I had one about ten years ago. Called a pilonidal cyst. Which really means, in my upper buttocks. Had a difficult time walking for a few days, doctor drained the cyst, bandaged me up, and so far it has never returned.

My urology professor back in school drummed this into our heads:

'All lumps in the scrotal sack are due to testicular cancer until proven otherwise'

You can get yourself a sonar to check.

You should save the puss in a plastic bag so that you can utilize it later to exact revenge on someone who has done you wrong.

Tea tree oil, twice a day. It will be gone within a week.

Don't attempt to pop until you see the whitehead.

That's jeep seat. Relatively common. There are videos on youtube. Seriously nasty!

Hopefully it isn't a MRSA infection, I had a few of them a couple of years ago over a period of about 6 months and I had to go to the hospital and get them cut out, still have the scars, I was on antibiotics for several weeks until it stopped.

MRSA infections are nasty if left untreated, I'm pretty sure that video with a cyst on the guy's back is MRSA. They start off like a pimple or ingrown hair, then become red and swell up with lots of puss. I got mine taken care of quickly, buddy in that video let it go too late!

The video is possibly the grossest thing I have ever seen in my life. It sickened me to my stomach and on it's my mind all the time. I knew i shouldn't have watched it.

Is it in your skin, like a big pimple, or actually inside of your scrotum next to a testicle? If its in your skin, don't do anything if it feels firm, if it feels like it's filled with fluid then you can have an incision and drainage done, and you'll have to pack it every day with sterile gauze and cover with an occlusive (air tight plastic) dressing for about a month, depending on the size of the abscess it leaves. There's a very high risk of secondary infection if it's not treated properly, so be careful.
If it's inside of your scrotum go to a urologist and have him send you for an ultrasound, then it will be pretty easy to tell exactly what it is and you can weigh the risks of a surgical procedure. Like Thomas said, rule out cancer first

Upgrayedd. Which he spells thusly, with two D's, as he says, "for a double dose of this pimping".

get them all the time... but not there. If you get it elsewhere on your body, use mustard powder on a piece of wet bread. Then stick the bread to your cyst, within an hour the cyst is popped or gone. It will bloody hurt though, mustard is highly acidic and will burn the hell out of you. Works for me.

Cysts primarily come in two different types: ganglion cyst which is filled with fluid and can be drained by a doctor with a needle. Old school way of getting rid of it is to slam it hard with something solid like a book. I obviously don't recommend trying that method if the cyst is near your nutsack.

The second type is familial limpoma syndrome in which the cyst is fatty (vice fluid-filled like a ganglion). This type of cyst can only be removed by knife/incision but it leaves a nasty scar and has a good chance of growing back. The lipomas can grow anywhere on the body but are most common on the arms and trunk.

I would make sure it's not a swollen lymph node.

I have recurring cysts in my left ear lobe; I have two right now.

Occasionally, one bursts and I have to preform bathroom-style surgery with a razor blade to drain it and remove the remains of the cyst. I'm actually quite proficient about it now.

That being said, if it's your groin, I'd get it checked out immediately by a physician at minimum, if not a urologist. Better safe than sorry.

take a peice of bread, wet it and put some dry mustard on it.. then put the mustard pack over your cyst for an hour or two. It will be gone pretty quick or you can pop it out shortly after.

I had (still kinda have) a subcutaneous cyst on my sack. I had it checked out and they didn't find anything wrong with it. So one day I decided enough was enough and popped it myself. It was pretty epic. Don't fuck with it too much because that's what makes it bigger (I learned the hard way). You really should get it checked out though.

Some days I applied ACV, some days I used a hot rag, and I have rubbed coconut oil on the cyst a couple of times. Not sure if any of those have contributed to it getting smaller, but it looks like it will be gone within a few days.

Thanks for the responses.
