Magnesium.
Magnesium radically boosts your sex drive. And most people are low on it.

By the way, has anyone continued with the megadoses and experienced any negative effects after a while? Or decreasing effects?
Just curious. I only take 50mg these days and never stuck with the megadose long.

Bro's, just be weary that megadosing zinc will mess up your copper absorbtion quite drastically.
I think that is a bit more prudent to keep your zinc intack at around 30mg per day and get the rest from meat. For a pro sex drive supplement give raw eggs a try.

I have definitely had results from 2 x 50mg. One in the AM and one at night.
Something very strange happened to me last night after just a couple days on Zinc.
I've had women start talking to me out of no where. The std don't I know you? And such and asking me for my number. I'm serious and this never happens.
Even stranger was I was in a coffee shop last night when this guy wants me to move so he and his girlfriend can sit down. I was definitely willing to help but was confused about what he was saying. I thought he wanted me to move down but he wanted to move a table beside me. This guy begins getting hostile with me and very agitated. I told him .."you need to calm down." Then he gets more agitated and I tell him, "hey, relax" while I'm still feeling calm about everything and willing to help him. Then he gets in my face and tells me he is going to "button me up" I said "what?" " are you serious?" as he gets right in my face over my chair.
I'm surprised this is happening but right then my mood immediately changes. It is one of those moments where things can go either way. I seriously was debating to stand up and grab this guy by the collar and drag him outside.
This kind of thing never ever happens to me. I'm 6 foot and over 200lbs. This guy was maybe 5 8 and scrawny. But I was jacked and didn't care if he was 7 foot. He proceeds to banging the chairs and tables around. Then his girlfriend comes out and sits beside him so he wasn't doing it to impress her.
The original poster mentioned different reactions from women. It wasn't till I calmed down that I realized I had a different reaction from both men and women. Each of these circumstances rarely happen to me.
I'm a decent looking guy but I don't have women asking for my card and start talking me up like I have recently.
And I never have people threaten me. Especially as I actually feel more calm.
Coincidence? I don't know but just reiterating wht the OP said.
On a side note I sure am happy I took the "high road" with that guy. If I did what I wanted to I'm sure someone would have called the cops. I would be looking to get bailed out instead of a deep sleep in my bed, which is another nice benefit..

I think some of you may be reading into this a bit much.
I take 300mg a day, and have been doing so for over 5 months and can't really report much outside of the first few months of being on it.

I'd be hesitant to take anything over about 50mg a day. I've started (two days ago) taking 25mg in zinc and a multivitamin that contains a further 10mg. I'll report back if I see any positive changes.

Guys, be careful with this stuff. You start megadosing zinc day in day out you can develop zinc toxicity sooner than you know. Also most zinc supps don't have copper and you'll get copper deficiency. Bad news.
If you're going to use a zinc supplement, use
OptiZinc which is the best formulation (it has copper), and you don't need more than 1 a day.
Best of all,
don't take it daily, but only for the occasion. Take 1 or 2 OptiZinc a couple of hours before fucking, with a couple of
these, and get ready for a very solid bust. Only taking it in a targeted way will keep the effect more potent.

Take good quality Zinc with Copper. I take the OptiZinc and experimented with mega and super doses in the past. I don't need more then one or two OptiZincs a day.
My craziest Mega-dosages where upwards of 500mg in one day, aside from massive stomach discomfort I was fine, the Zinc quality of that dosage compete shit though. No need to push my luck when one or two OptiZinc will do the same if not better job of a Mega-dose of the crappy stuff, the OptiZinc quality is superior to anything else I have taken.

Here in Thailand they have a supplement product called "Exec Bs" that has 15mg of zinc and 175mg of magnesium.
I've been taking 1-3 a day and have DEFINITELY noticed a difference across a few dimensions:
1. Better sports performance & recovery - This could be from the vastly improved sleep that comes from taking magnesium before bed.
Or it could be the heightened testosterone from the Zinc. Either way, I've been training jiu jitsu almost every day of the week, sometimes 2 classes, and I'm barely even sore the next day.
Also my energy levels and aggressiveness is higher during the classes. Very cool effect I wasn't at all expecting!
2. Bigger loads - Yesterday I dropped a Nagasaki sized load on a girl's pretty boobies. We were both surprised and laughed about the copious discharge.
This was only after 1 day of no sex and I almost never cum this much. Felt like a champ and the orgasm lasted longer. :-)
3. Better sleep - sleep feels very solid. Vivid dreams. Very rested in the morning.
4. Getting IOIs - yeah, like the other posters mentioned, I've been getting more looks from girls than usual.
5. More aggressive about approaching - I've been on a tear for the past 2 weeks, approaching girl after girl on the train, street, in the mall, etc., getting numbers like crazy. It only dawned me as I was writing this post that 2 weeks is about how long I've been taking the supp.
Overall, very awesome supplement. The Exec Bs run 550 baht at a Boots for you Thailand guys.
But I'm going to go ahead and order optizinc from iHerb.com to avoid the copper deficiency issue.
Thanks to the OP for bringing this to everyone's attention!

So finally what does everyone think is the most effective way to supplement zinc?
ZMA
Zinc Gluconate
Zinc Picolinate
Optizinc (zinc with copper?)
I think some other forms were mentioned too
I started taking ZMA but the recommended doses are quite high and it's extremely expensive, so I'm a little unsure about it. Regular zinc (gluconate) I've used before and I do get some of the effects described here but not at the same intensity I get with ZMA.
But I'd like to switch to either the L-Optizinc or the zinc picolinate soon. Who has tried both and can break down the differences?

I have tried the both the cellucor brand and the gmc brand. As far as cost per serving the gnc brand is significantly cheaper and the dosage is about the same. The one difference is that the cellucor brand adds melatonin in an attempt to make sleep deeper and more restful. I believe that I sleep just as well from the gnc brand . The one drawback is that the gnc brand smells absolutely AWFUL! So much so that I would buy cellucor just to avoid having the smell on my hands.
All in all, as many others have mentioned, I have noticed a physic difference from zma; better sleep, better recovery, more energy, stronger workouts, etc. I hope this helps

For lifting days, do you all take Opti-zinc 30-45 minutes before a workout? right before a workout? immediately after? during dinner? etc. What would be the most beneficial time to take it. As of right now, I take it during dinner every day along with Magnesium w/Vitamin B-6, Vitamin B-1, and Fish Oil.
Suggestions?

Experiment with different times to intake the zinc and see what works best for you.
From what I understand, any time is good as long as you don't ingest it at a similar time to taking in a calcium source.
I either take it randomly in the morning or evening or just before bed.

Cool thanks for the input. I'll try experimenting with different times of the day to see if there is any difference. Probably go for taking it right before bed to start.

Here is a pretty awesome update about zinc from Poliquin *(yes, it's reputable).
I found this article on Facebook and am not sure how to source it.
Google it if you need. He goes under the handle "Strength Sensei and I'm going to follow it.

Why you need to get your red blood cell zinc levels tested if you are serious about your strength training efforts
I consider red blood cell zinc level testing one of the five most important cheap functional medicine tests to do. Optimal zinc status will affect your results in the gym because:
1. Zinc is essential for the production of androgens, IGF-1 and growth hormone.
Iran and Irak have the lowest levels of zinc in their soils, hence the onset of puberty in males is 17 years old. A far cry from the 12 to 14 years around the globe. That is also linked to their extremely low levels of testosterone.
If you don’t have enough zinc, you can’t grow muscle, and your energy and recovery will be piss poor.
2. Zinc is synergistic to the absorption of all nutrients known to man. As Robert Crayhon used to say, if you are deficient in zinc, you are probably deficient in a lot of nutrients.
3. Zinc is essential to insulin management. If you don’t have enough zinc, your entire insulin sensitivity mechanism is compromised. Translation, you have a hard time storing glycogen, induce anabolism, and your carbs keep building your fat stores instead of restoring glycogen levels.
4. Dopamine production is regulated by zinc. If you don’t have enough zinc, your dopamine levels tank. Hence, no drive in the gym, and moodier than a Kardashian. You cannot have higher mental functioning without enough zinc.
5. No zinc, you have the attentions span of a door knob. If focusing during sets is an issue and staying on target during your workouts is an issue, that could be a sign of zinc deficiency. This is why functional medicine practitioner used zinc as a primary intervention in treating ADHD patients.
Now how do you best test zinc? Use a red blood cell zinc test, NOT A SERUM ZINC TEST. If it is not covered by your insurance, you should not pay more than 12 to 40 dollars for it.
If maximal strength and size are your goals, you want to score above 1,400 ug/dl

Source Naturals Optizinc is the best formulation which also contains copper in the correct proportion (so you won't become copper deficient), and you can buy it here:
