Asian girls in LA are pretty damn decent if that's your thing. Half my white buddies date exclusively Asian girls. I personally don't get it but I'm not here to judge. People think I'm crazy because I love anorexic looking girls, so to each his own.

I was messing with this taiwanese chick in LA a while back and went to visit her place in Rowland Heights and felt like I was suddenly transported to china. It's a city in the SGV East of downtown that's about 60% asian, it was definitely a culture shock coming from the westside. If that's your thing you'd be in heaven.

Recent transplants, and tourists.

If you screen for these two types, you will up your conversion, and decrease flakiness.

Where is the best place to find them? hit up these day time locations:

-3rd street promenade/Santa Monica Pier
-The Grove
-Hollywood and Highland
-Any wholefoods
-public buses (ride them even if you have a car. cute girls on these tend to be new to town)


Keep in mind that fishbowl is how most dudes get laid anywhere in the world; cold approach pickup isn't.

Although LA tends to be cliquish, it's actually much more open than most places due to the transient nature of the place. Much more permeable than you would think.

Since LA gets so many tourists, you can basically screen for them, then escalate fearlessly for good practice.

All the places Rurik mentioned are great for day game. For night game I suggest downtown, west hollywood, or venice.

The fishbowl thing seems slightly overblown. It's true that L.A. is very cliquish, that there's a definite change in vibe depending on where you go, and people dress and act accordingly. You can travel 3 miles and go from hipster to beach rat. But the thing is, is there's typically a "come as you are" vibe here unless you're in a hardcore hipster venue full of self conscious judgmental betas.

You yellow fever guys should stick to downtown on weekend nights. Asians have pretty much taken over all the spots. There's a big club called The Exchange and you'll see tons of Asian girls in short skirts and high heels. Many are good-looking, though I tend to not care that much for Asians chics and avoid the Asian scene in general. Just not my thing.

Yes, it's likely. You gotta keep in mind, film industry does not automatically imply actors. For every actor, there's 20 other support careers that are needed, writing, direction, production, cameramen, sound guys, editors, extras, props, wardrobe, makeup, the list goes on forever. There are A LOT of movie industry people here, and for the most part they are extremely superficial and fucking lame. But the women are uniformly easy.

Almost everyone here is a transplant so by default the answer is yes. And I mean even girls from other countries. I recently was hanging with this Colombian girl who moved here for college a few years ago. She's so Americanized now she acts no different than any chic who was born and raised here.

Why would you care about banging a porn star? There's nothing special about them. I don't know how you'd go about meeting them other than going to a porn convention(there are several a year). I think you should just make the move out here man. Everyone from Houston that moves here loves it, and everyone from L.A. that moved to Houston hates it. If you like Houston, you'll like L.A. 10x better since you're already used to the sprawl and freeways. Now you'll get the better weather and beaches.

Speakeasy, I'm trying to get an oil job. I won't be doing shit if I move out there and will be starting all over (broke as hell). I'll probably have lots of fun but I won't EVER travel the world like I'm planning. I need to check the city out with my own eyes before I just move. Plus, it's expensive as fuck.

I'm thinking of doing what I said in another thread; save up plenty of money and maybe go out there for a year or 2 while working a part time job that revolves around women. Hell, unless someone here can get me in the door somewhere and I can work while checking it out for a few months...

I think LA is the only other city I would want to rest my head in. I don't think I would like New York because I love driving my car and those accents/annoying attitudes would make me get into a fight every day.

Of course a transplant girl is going to get spoiled over time. RECENT is the key word....before she has much of a social circle, and still feels "out of the loop".

LA is probably the best city on the west coast for girls, having shit to do, and just all around lifestyle. Obviously that's subjective.

The bay area is alright, but I think LA is just better. Seattle and portland...not even close to LA. Despite the preponderance of celebs and rich dudes, women in LA are just more open. The sun alone is worth it.


When it comes to the United States, it's either new york or LA, or perhaps a city somewhere in the midwest or south for chicks. Almost everything else sounds like a horror story (DC, boston, etc.)

Houston, if you've got no job prospects and don't give a shit about a future career, I'd HIGHLY suggest working in restaurants as a server. You'd start as a busboy and work your way up, maybe be a food runner at some point. Check it out:

Aspiring models and actresses all work part time as servers.

Servers tend to fuck each other. Restaurants are very incestuous.

Aspiring models and actresses are usually pretty easy.

Once you move your way up, restaurants pay well. It's not uncommon for servers at a high end restaurant to walk with 250-300 a night. Not bad for a 6 hour shift that requires zero degree and minimal training.

Now, you do have to deal with the general public, and deal with tyrannical managers. But if you keep your cool you should be fine. Besides, you can just take less of a cut and be a food runner, in which case you hang out in the kitchen most of the time.

I've banged a girl that was in 160 porn movies. At one point 10 years ago I guess you could say she was a "star". She had gotten out of porn and was pursuing another career and I met her through social circle. I'd recommend it, it was pretty fucking fun. Porn conventions seem unlikely to pick one up. Occasionally I'll see girls on the street that definitely have a porn body. I know porn stars like clubbing a lot even though they usually hang out in VIP areas.

Lastly, almost anyone out here can squeak by. As mentioned in other threads, there are entire populations of lost kids who come out with here with a dream and fall flat. If you know what to expect, if you just come out here for the weather, girls, nightlife, and expect to be living cheap but happy, with no bullshit expectations, you'll be way ahead of the pack. Just find your "spot" before you move permanently. Find a reasonable living situation that's central, hopefully not too far from the beach or nightlife.

1) Are there any clubs around here with more of a euro-vibe? By that I mean playing trance, progressive house, EDM as is more common in European clubs. It seems like clubs here are all about bump and grind club hits hiphop. I'm pretty sick of that.

2) What's the deal with La Descarga? Good place for a weeknight? Expensive? Any door drama?

1) Avalon. The scene isn't very Euro, but they get the most and best international DJs. Other than that you'll have to hold out for music festivals like HARD

2) it's a decent venue, more for dates than for pickup in my experience. About the same price as other high end cocktail bars. No door drama but you do need to make a reservation.

I was there last night ironically. I made reservations but found out you don't need them for weeknights. Got there around 9:20, only about 5 people in there. Picked up a bit as the night went on, maybe 25 people total when I left. Drinks like thedude said, avg 12-14 or so. Very good drinks, great for dates. There were about 5 single girls of the 25 there, the rest couples. They play salsa type live music, if you can salsa/merengue dance and there are single girls there you would do some damage.

Best thing is they have a dress code so every girl there is in heels and skirt/dress. It did look like the single girls there were looking to be picked up. Much less of a girls night out lets chitter chatter and more looking around sipping on their drinks. One other thing, when the band starts playing it is very loud you will not be able to talk to people easily.

I totally hear you. I have to go to vegas for that, and even then there's still too much mainstream stuff/hip hop.

Summer's over but check out some of the pool parties in LA, they tend to play a lot of EDM/house/etc....
