In my opinion the army can considerably improve your pick up skills. After servicing the Greek army for 16 months(obligatory service) I noticed the following:
1.Army makes you reach your limits physically. You have to walk long distances in the night without sleep carrying weapons being hungry and thirsty for hours. After that any strain women put on you seems like child's game.I mean even if you have to fuck 4 women in a row it is nothing exhausting compared to what you have to endure during army.So you can handle long dates, clubbing, deprivation of sleep and maneuvering much better.
2.Strong army hierarchy and humilation creates an environemnt where you conclude that nothing can be worse. So after army any mental game a woman can play(threatening, blackmail, pretention, displaying disinterest etc) seems like a joke to what you had to endure during the army.(constant abuse by superiors etc).I mean the abuse a woman thinks she inflicts to you has no effect at all because you have been turned immune to it after the army.
3.Deprivation of sleep and food as means of discipline in the army cannot be compared in strength to any means of discipline a woman uses.In fact you laugh when she thinks she will discipline you by some shouting or withdrawal of sex.
4.The army demands from you to take responsibility and cope up with difficult circumstances. You have to get the job done and these are qualities observed and appreciated by women. You also learn to be fearless and impose discipline and women like being commanded more precisely they like the display of strong will which does not take any bullshit. The latter is essential in the army for survival.
5.During the army you meet a lot of other soldiers and you learn their personal stories you develop a compraderie. In this way you learn a lot about relationships women and what happens in regions you are ready to explore but you do not have any access. You get information from first hand.
I noticed how much more comfortable and fearless I became with women after the army what scared me before was a laughing stock after that.

Agreed.
I was not in the army, but I served in the police. Service does changes your view of the world. You laugh off what terrified you before.
You realize how petty the concerns of regular people are. They think they have a problem? Dude, your problems are nothing.
Being afraid of a woman? Ive had bullets flying around my head. What is she going to scare me with? Nailpolish?
Honor to you for serving your country. Be proud.

A lot of girls say that my presence has a deep and calming effect when the shit hits the fan. This is because I have had to deal with many histrionic women and do not tolerate drama. It's nice being the rock.
Same thing in rugby. The worst thing that can happen is getting hit or a concussion. There's no sense in panicking.

This is bullshit, not worth giving up 16 months of your life just to toughen up. You can toughen up in other ways.
If you want to do it for travel experience (Iraq anyone?) or for, I don't know, getting money for college - then OK. But just "to become a man" - thanks, but no thanks. They used to have mandatory military service in my country too, good thing they abolished it.

Sports? Working your way thru college? Not gonna go on, let me just say this: I have many friends a little older than me who had to do mandatory military service, they abolished it just before it was my time to go. All of them say it was a waste of time in general (while not denying the certain appeal of male camaraderie during that time).

^^^ There's a difference between voluntary and conscripted military service. Your friends probably didn't want to be there, and took nothing away from their time served. Honestly, I'd probably done the same. None of us want to be forced into anything.
With that being said, the Marine Corps was the most important life-changing decision I've made to date. It got me where I am now, which is a pretty good place. I took as much from it as I could.
Bottom line, if it wasn't for the Corps, I still wouldn't have the courage to approach girls, and would have settled for a big fat one by now, living with her in a life of misery.

Military or law enforcement service will definitely harden you the fuck up, mentally and physically, several levels above what ever you could achieve as a civilian, but the basic social skills and Alpha-potential still need to be there. In the Army, it seems like there's a similar percentage of guys that get pussy as in the civilian world, but they're almost easier to tell apart, even by the types of jobs they pick (potential Alphas tend to pick jobs where their more likely to get into some shit outside the wire like Infantry, Medic (me), or to a greater extent, Ranger or SF). That being said, I've seen a few hardened combat veterans that wouldn't blink during a bar fight in the shittiest of neighborhoods, panic and clam up around even the most average 6.

I know germanico well. He was an elite cop that was assigned to stop me from crossing the border and wreaking havoc. On several occasions I got the drop on him, but his wiry ass dodged my bullets. This fueled my hate, because no one had ever lived from wrath of my dual nickel plated .45's.
Several months later, he caught me drunk, leaving a runway model fashion show in the DF. He shot and killed the 4 models hanging on my arms out of spite. A fierce gun battle ensued, and many bystanders were killed, including 3 bus loads of Catholic school children and 6 Japanese tourists. We shot the Japanese because of their annoying poses while taking pictures.
2 days later, after running out of bullets, an intense, epic hand to hand combat ensued. For 7 hours we battled. He would have gotten the best of me, but kept throwing me through drugstore windows, where I'd chew 3 bottles of Demerol to keep going.
Finally, after both of were almost, dead, we conceded. He promised to stop being a cop, and I vowed never to return to Mexico. We're friends now, and he ships me virgin models from Jalasco, and I return the favor with single barrel, 1 run bourbon from Kentucky.
The question is, does that make us beta?

I agree to an extent. I have been in the American Army for almost 8 years. I have definitely become more confident, remained in shape, had a decent income, and picked up some pretty good stories to tell.
It will make you tolerate less bullshit and play less games, but so will learning any aspect of game.
It will keep in shape, but not much more than any other civilian. There are plenty of pigs running around in a uniform.
It can give you a DHV, if you have earned it. Most people have shitty little jobs in the army, and try to talk like they are rambo. I destroy these people when I hear them by picking apart their stories and making it is evident they dont know shit. Almost all the people that I know that have actually been in combat (actually in firefights on the ground, not just deployed to a combat zone) only talk about with others that have done the same thing. Most military are not DHV status, simple as that.
You can travel, but say goodbye to traveling on your own. I get a month of leave a year, normally broken down into two seperate 15 day breaks. One in the summer and one in the winter (xmas). Other than that, you will not be able to travel. Most posts have a 150-250 mile limit that you are not allowed to travel outside without special permission.
It can also seriously fuck your head up. I went through about a two year window where I was terrified of women. I was convinced anything I did would make them scream rape or sexual harassment, and my career would be over.
However, I still think it the best decision a young American can make. If your not pursuing a degree in a highly specialized high income field, or running your own business, the military is mint for long term financial stability and upward career mobility. If you are a go getter you can land yourself in military programs that train you in high demand skills for free, while paying you do it. Finish up your obligation after schooling (normally 4-6 years depending on the program) and either stay in for the sweet retirement, or get out and goto the civilian sector. The military will abuse every aspect of your body and soul when you are serving, so do it right back and take advantage of every single opportunity and cent that you can squeeze out of them.

This part reminds of of that ridiculously long fight in the cult movie : They live.

A movie way ahead of its time, not for the aliens but more about how the elite controls and manipulates us.
Gonna download that one again someday , would recommend anyone to watch it.

Don't forget..if you get a job in the army that translates into something worthwhile on the outside world..you can make bank.
stuff with computers, engineering, mechanical, flying, intelligence.
Those jobs are pretty much top notch free training that translate into civilian world jobs.
Cousin of mine wasn't doing much with his life..joined the airforce..
No its not as badass sounding as a solder or marine. But he's a jet mechanic.
Kids lived Italy,Japan,Korea and a stint in Kuwait. All within the last 5 years.
And YES He is raking in the asian pussy in Korea right now planning on getting out and staying in Asia(asian chicks love black guys)
I choose a the officer route with the plan to be a Pilot.
Pay is much better than enlisted. Quality of life is better. But in no way are you less "manly" than that someone who rucks all day in infantry.Much respect to all those who enlist infantry. But number say those jobs don't translate into much unless you plan on working for Blackwater.XE whatever they call themselves these day
Alot of people join a service with to many preconceived notions and or don't play their cards right. Thats why they complain about live shitting on them and what.
If you know what you're doing..(incoming recruiter cliche) you really can see the world and have fun get your education, get paid and get if you don't want a career
Their might be days when I wish I could be that frat boy in college that drinks and smokes weed all day wakes up at 9am and goes to class in pajamas...but if I was doing that. I wouldn't be here chillin in Germany..taking flights around Europe every other week.
I am the cock carousel

I think k man is right. Ive been holed up in my apartment for the past two days doing statistics homework for 8 and 9 hours a day and I still have ~15 hours left to go. It's the most homework I've ever done in my life without the help of aderall or vyvance and I feel invincible!

Enlist and you'll experience "the suck" as it's called. It doesn't make you better with girls.
But reading Roosh's books will.

Hey, have u carried on personal international travel before. Obviously its a judgment call and things can go wrong, but I'm thinking about it next time I get outta country in a couple weeks. Last time I was in Sto Dgo, we were robbed but, they only got a couple shirts, because we had all the rooms locked. We woke up and found a couple rounds on the ground outside of my door the next morning.

It will help you be a better leader amongst men, sure. Women not so much. Women by nature are more conniving, more subtle in their actions which the equivalent of guerrilla warfare.

Signed my Army enlistment contract last week for Active Duty. I'm a college grad but my credits fucked up so no OCS for right now. I've been working on my game not to my fullest extent but at to a point where I am making more daytime approaches. I'm interested in seeing what kind of effect being the Army will have on my present game over the next year.

Unless you have real drive you wont see officer for years. You got fucked by not going OCS. If I were you I would get out that contract and join ROTC to finish the credits you didnt get. Dont go enlisted. The money sucks and you will be taking orders from shitheads when you could be the shithead giving orders in 4 years. You should have opened a post or spoke to some people who have joined. Almost anybody would have told you go officer ASAP and dont join enlisted to go officer.
Not to shit on your parade. The military is a great life and will give you everything you put into it but you had the opportunity to start off right.
Gamewise I don't know. I am a reservist so all I have are the stories and travel. Nothing gamewise. Good luck to you.
The cycle of disrespect can start with just an appetizer.
