Bumfuck Suburbia, MD it sucks. Hard.

I feel you. My place is getting remodeled and I've been staying with family. It was a five minute taxi ride to downtown from my old place. Now it's a 20 minute drive from suburbia. Ironically I think it maybe tightening my game. Shitty logistics make you get creative so my new forte is the backseat bang.

Log 3 br house out in the woods where I live alone. 10 minutes from one town and 20 from the one I usually go out in.

I love the peace and quiet but it sucks for logistics. Long waits for cabs and pricey due to distance. Broads like the place but it makes SNL's a lot harder.

2 bed flat 1 minute walk from Oxford St,London .
Every type of activity except mountain climbing and hunting deer within walking distance.

Usually rent out a room a few months a year...pays all the bills.

So rent free when I do that, otherwise with bills £500 /month

Am I understanding correctly that you pay ~$800usd a month for a 2 bed flat in london?

Shit, i live in a city in the suburbs of Toronto and would have to pay $1000 for a decent 1 bedroom

Two bedroom townhouse in suburbia. 25 minute drive from Minneapolis/St. Paul. Night life is okay. Have two bars within 15 mins walking. I want to relocate downtown, but I'll be needing to increase my income to make that a reality.

3 bedroom house that I'm renting by myself for $600 a month + the bills. About 20 minutes from downtown, lots of little bars and spots within 10 minutes of my hood. 30-40 min drive to the beach depending on traffic, so sometimes I go chill out there and smoke one...just think about life and relax

Yea but don't forget that's non inclusive. That means, gas is not included, nor is electricity.

The area I live is all inclusive but as it goes in Toronto, electricity is included (which means heat, and stove power) so I don't have to worry about the extra bills for that.

All I need to handle is my food, my phone, internet and cable and I'm sugar sweet.

What do you think of gaming in Sydney? Would you say the city is worth a visit (for the girls)?

Hydro is $100 a month max, I was always under the impression that London was extremely expensive but hell I had friends paying that much in a 6 person student house in Waterloo ffs

Chad I think you're overpaying TBH. I'm renting a room to someone in my house for $625 +1/3 electricity, walking distance to Red Line, and it's just me and this person. Maybe I'm under charging!

Single Bedroom in downtown Ottawa for $750. There's at least 20 bars within a 5min walk so its awesome that way but I'm pretty far from work so the commute blows every morning. Parking downtown is always retarded too.

To all the Toronto guys I feel your pain... I used to pay $900 for a loft on Queen/Spadina that I shared with 3 other people!

I'm hoping to move back to Montreal come June and I'll probably be looking at a loft in Old Port for about $800!

From what I saw in the area I'm in (gaithersburg) this is about average. I Have a private bathroom as well, so that pumps the price up a bit.

I saw cheaper rooms for rent but it was literally like a baby's room in a family home, I've got a decent amount of space. I'm not hating on the rent I pay individually, but the rent of the whole area. Even you're paying more for a room then Houston is for a house. It'd be one thing if the DC/Metro area was fucking hoppin and the best scene on the coast, but its the exact opposite.

I'm paying the same in Frederick for same living conditions, the DC area is expensive period!

Yes, definitely. Sydney has TONS of hot girls. I really like Australian girls, but on top of that, it's a very international city so you literally have girls from everywhere in the world. Check out the data sheet I posted.

I'm near Winchester, VA.. bought my house about 6 years ago when I was only 20 and regret it pretty often. I hate feeling like I'm tied to this bitch for another 20 years.

$950 a month.. 2 br's, just my kid and I. The area is decent but the selection of bars or quality nightlife locations is pretty limited.

If you don't like the house, can't you rent it out and buy another? It could definitely work in your favor in the long run.

Lol, alright, I feel a little better now.

Though thats not unheard of. I have a buddy in Ohio who's paying $680 for a three bedroom house with a huge finished basement and a half acre backyard in a nice neighborhood.
