Not to pick a philosophical debate over a book I haven't read, but, uhhh, isn't worrying only about the now and not about the future how a lot of Americans have racked up way too much debt and all? ![[Image: smile.gif]](https://rooshvforum.network/images/smilies/smile.gif)
You definitely do have to let go the past. Whatever failings you've had in the past, they can change, starting now. You live, you learn, and then you move on.
I've never entirely gotten the "fear of rejection" thing. Is that really what people are afraid of? Your self-esteem can't be dependent on what other people think of you. I do get approach anxiety (I'm getting much better about it), but I've always experienced it as just a general "freezing up." Not fear of any particular outcome, not necessarily even not knowing what to say, just a general "I know I should approach, but... uhhh... why am I still standing here? Oh, crap, now I've been standing here too long doing nothing." Rejection, on the other hand... rejection actually feels somewhat liberating to me.
