You're right - headset uses the 3.5 mm jack - anything using the 3.5mm jack will receive the sound (maybe even the USB amp is affected but I can't confirm that since I don't have a MicroUSB portable amp), speaker is for phone speaker, bluetooth is self-explanatory (but I found it loses power easily with my preset in viper so I only use cable). Also don't forget to check out the preset thread on xda - there are some really really amazing effects there - the preset I've given in my second post is in fact based on one of those presets!

You should also try XHiFi (the app, not the clarity setting) - old 128kbps mp3's never sounded clearer - you'll be even more surprised how good the audio driver is!
