I think online is a waste of time, the reward to energy invested isn't there.
I tried it again recently - I'd trade every minute spent on it for time looking for girls in real life.
IRL you get better responses and you gain something from every rejection, online you gain nothing from rejections. Online does nothing to build your character, if you take it even remotely seriously or expect anything from it, it can undermine you.
