MGM is gone. Clubs here seem to have a fairly short life cycle.

Its easy to find a job, and they will sort out the visa paperwork for you.
Pay is better in private chools, but chances are they will hire someone with experience over a noob. Still happens, Ive had many offers.
I am working in a public school, the pay is not that great, but I teach 20 hours a aweek tops, the rest I spend wandering around, approaching, trying to learn the local lingo. And learning game, of course.
My associate teaches kids and kidnergardens, and makes very decent scratch.
Cost of life here is CHEAP, and your money goes a long ,long way. Compared to the locals, you are making a very decent living. Itd be the equivalent of making 60-120K in a small town in the States.
Mind you, large cities in the Eastern side tend to be more expensive (Beijing, Shanghai), so your CPN/QOL might vary.
Cons of the Eastern cities:
Weather. Boiling hot in the summer, freezing in the winter. Beijing is notorious for this, as are Nanjing, Shanghai.
Crowded. they seem a lot more crowded than Chengdu.
You wont be a curiosity as much as you are further west.
Shanghai is not as friendly, people seemed very standoffish.
Also, as I mentioned, cleanliness is not on the priorities list around here. You will get sick, guaranteed.

Sir, the minute I figure out how to use this machine (OS is in chinese), I'll post pictures. I can only offer my word that there are seriously smoking dames here.
Mind you, photos in nighclubs are forbidden. Didnt really stop me though.
If anyone knows of a place that hosts images that is available in China Id be glad to upload some pics. I have some video of a dirty dirty girl in Nanjing too.
