When we left we saw him making out with the chinese girl. It was his gf and he wanted to clown me by having a foreigner shot down by a chinese girl.

Are there exceptions...yes, but 90% of the time they are setting you up for failure. NEVER listen to a local about gaming chinese girls. They are your competition. Especially if you just met. A trusted friend might help you out but be skeptical.

Plus they know nothing about game. It would be like me telling Mixx how to get laid in Colombia.

They basically take anyone with a pulse. Very straightforward. Medical yes, but its more of a 'give us your cash'. Your extra credentials are handy, you can probably negociate a better salary.
You can expect 6,ooo RMB/month for 20 hours/week. More in private schools, or with private students once you network enough.

The school provides generally with apartements, but some places will just give you a suppliment and let you fend for yourself... I hear its easier to just become roommate with another expat, else its a nightmare finding a place (nevermind figuring out utilities).

The dudes will try to distract you, physically block you, try to get you drunk (ha!) by giving you straight triple shots, or else say some shit to the girl. Has happened more than once to me. Never trust them.

And I agree, dudes here have zero to negative game. Its sad. My associate has some game, and language skills, so he gets fresh prospects or lays pretty much every time.

Yeah, Chengdu is good for banging Chinese chicks. I nailed 3 in 4 nights there. The only drawback I can see to Chengdu is that it's so polluted and that it's always overcast or drizzling. I think it's one of the most overcast cities in Asia.

I spent 2 months traveling China at the end of 2010/beginning of this year and would say that it was one of the better places for gaming. I would recommend Xi'an, Nanning, and Kunming also. I got invited into nightclubs for free in Kunming and given tables full of comp beer just for being blond, blue-eyed, and tall. Lots of hot ethnic chicks in both of those place--- meaning not Han Chinese. Some of them look really exotic. Got a Chinese muslim bird to give me head in the bathroom of a night club in Xi'an. Both of those places have good hash/weed too, if that's your thing. Just be discreet.

I would definitely not recommend Beijing. Filthy air, ugly, and hideous girls. Probably the ugliest Asian girls I've seen are in Beijing. Plus the authorities tend to crack down on things harder the closer they are to Beijing.

If you want to work in China I would recommend trying to get further south since winters are brutally cold. 5 celsius might not seem too bad to anyone from Europe or a colder part of North America but most buildings in China have no insulation and many have no heating system. I lost 10 pounds there in two months just from constantly shivering. And that wasn't the type of weight you want to lose. I felt emaciated by time I crossed into Laos.

But yeah, Chengdu is a good place to game and you can always go and see the pandas too

Ah, yes, I should have mentioned the weather.

Chengdu is overcast most often. I dig overcast days, so it wasnt an issue for me. In the winter its supposed to be no rain, but humid. So the cold can feel a lot worse.

However, I have spent more time than I care for in Canada, so 5C sounds pretty peachy for winter.Im still a big fan of keeping warm by sharing body heat. Works in Canada, must work here.

No, I can hardly speak any Mandarin. I made the effort to learn some basic phrases, numbers, and such because I was going to visit some areas that were off the main tourist trails. I threw in the "help me with my Chinese" card which has worked me in every single Asian country. She invited to show me another cool bar after she got off work and I happily obliged. So we went to other bar, got drunk, and there was little resistance after that. I started making out with here in the booth and then it was time for the taxi ride to her apartment.

The next two nights I went to a nightclub with some of the people from the hostel. It was like MGM Grand or something. I just remember the big block letter sign out front and shitty Chinese pop music. There were tons of hot girls though and a big dance floor so dance I did. Both nights I found a girl within 15 minutes or so. It was extremely easy. Bear in mind I'm tall, blond haired, blue eyed, with an athletic build. A fat, stumpy, black or Indian guy is going to need a different approach if he's going to pull in China but for me it's rather easy. Both of the chicks I met that night spoke hardly any English--They just wanted to get banged by a foreigner. It was interesting trying to negotiate our way to a proper hotel since I couldn't take them to the hostel.

All in all, it's not too hard to score quality chicks in China. Just like most places it helps to dress well, be in good shape, and come across as fun and good natured.

Awesome data on Chengdu! China is growing bigger and bigger on my radar and needless to say that I'll be spending a lot of time there when I return to Asia in 2012. I'd be also interested in hearing more about your experiences in Kumin as I'm eyeing spending a few months there enrolling into a uni to get a solid base of Mandarin. Btw, how is safety in the smaller cities? Did you feel threatened or in danger at any time while walking the streets of smaller cities where very few foreigners venture to and where English is alien?

Well I spent about 4 days in Kunming this January. I took a 2-month long trip through China and consider Kunming to be the most liveable large city that I found- sunny yet temperate weather due to the altitude and latitude, proximity to diverse ecoregions, less pollution, some of the best cuisine in China, and darker-skinned, more exotic women than in the northern regions. I nailed a girl from Nanjing that was traveling solo there my first night.

About 1 kilometer or so from that hostel there is a bar district that stays open all night, every night. Lots of hot Chinese girls and the odd tourist. I went out with a group of English broads (overweight beer hags) and we got invited into every club and served tables full of free beer. Kunming is still a part of China where being a stereotypical looking Westerner is going to get you tons of perks. You are a novelty and business owners think you're going to attract Chinese customers.

Anyways, there is one bar in that club district called "Mask Bar." It's right on the main square. I walked in and was immediately hit with a cloud of marijuana smoke. Spent the rest of the night there drinking Beer Lao and getting ripped.

The next night I went to a club in the same area and was able to pull a pretty little Chinese uni student within a few minutes. It was pretty easy as she just came up and started dancing with me. The hostel allowed overnight guests for just a few RMB more and I had a private room so we went back to my place.

What else...? Kunming is growing rapidly but seems to have better planning than other Chinese cities. They're building a subway system so that should make getting around even easier. Also, if you want to get out you're only 3 to 5 hours from the backpacker Mecca of Dali and another 3 more to Lijiang. Six hours will get you down into the Chinese jungles Xishuangbanna and the heart of Dai culture. Another two from there and you're in Laos where you can be shocked by comparably unbelievable number of Western tourists.

I'm in Thailand now searching for a teaching job but have been thinking that if it doesn't work out, I'll head to Kunming. Lots of opportunities and like I said, I think it's the most desirable part of China. If you want some more practical info go to GoKunming.com or shoot me some questions.

This is advice that is applicable to all of Asia IMO. Asian guys can be the biggest cockblockers around. Some of the shit they've pulled on me would be worthy of an ass beating back home in California-- i.e. I've been physically assaulted for having a hot Korean girlfriend

Make some Asian friends outside of the bar scene and it's much more likely that they will help you out.

I take it for granted now, but I did forget to mention safety.

China is very safe.
Ive walked around at all times in all kinds of cities and never really felt threatened or in danger. I call it the 'gringo shield'. Its very safe, petty crime like pickpocketing or purse stealing does happen, but by in large, its perfectly safe around here.
People will stare and try to take pictures (maybe with you, maybe of you), no question. I guess the last place any of the locals wants to spend any time is a chinese jail.

If you get into a fight
Avoid it, of course.
Lets say you get drunk and are swooping the chick of some dude, and he gets mad. It happens.
My understanding from other expats experiences is that the onus is on whoever throws the first punch. After that you are defending yourself. Weapons are rare (blades, not guns), but multiple dudes on one can happen.
It seems that reparations to the other party are in order if there were any injuries or damages to property.
The cops will probably take you to the station and try to get some money out of you. Dont be too smart and you'll be ok in a few hours.

Kunming is a smaller, sketchier town. Grimier looking than Chengdu. Dusty, worn down. Still safe, and the locals were friendly. Truth to be told I was there only 2 days because I wanted to see the midget town (a weird attraction even for my standards and China). But apparently there are tons of natural attractions around there.
The university should be cheap, and the cost of life should be cheap. However, keep in mind that what you learn in college and what people speak on the street can be vastly different. Increases in frustration by 10x. People outright may not understand you, even if you speak perfect mandarin.
Also, there might not be much of a nightlife, so your macking would be done in school. Should be fairly good pickings, since there is nothing to do, and students usually live on campus. Hint: ask for the 'english corner' time and date; its sort of a free for all practice for the students with the expats. Ive been told those are fertile grounds. Its also likely that the school is not close to the downtown.

Well, the dream is temporarily over for me. I had to go back home and with that, this little gig is up. Hell of a time though.

Things Id do different: go out a lot more on weekends. I took my time there for granted and that I'd have lots and lots of weekends for sarging. Ha. Mistake #1.

Dont assume that the chicks dont speak english. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Girls from smaller towns will not be into ONS, but potential for MLR's remains unknown.
Lizards in Chengdu, however, are another story altogether. Like in any major city, it takes all kinds.

China is not for the squeamish or germophobic. You've been warned.

I stayed at my friends place sometimes but I also tried two places, vastly different:

Sims Cozy Guest House and Loft

Sim's is (as you can imagine from the name) more of a hippieish backpacker hostel. Lovely courtyard gardens, clean rooms, some with private shower. A night here ran me 120RMB, not bad at all for a private room. SWPL in the restaurant.

Loft is a bit more shabby chic, its where the chinese hipsters stay and hang out. about 160rmb/night and no private shower. Industrial loft style (was a printing factory), think out of Azure magazine or such. Id take Sim's, given the cheaper price and the garden.
No serious food, more 'brunchy' stuff. Location here is better, closer to action.

Go West young man.

ONS:

Some guys have mentioned this already in various forms, i'll just clean it up a bit:

ONS's are common in big cities, this means Shanghai, Beijing and possibly Shenzhen (I haven't been to SZ).

I would say Hong Kong is by far the easiest, (I k closed 2 girls in less than 5 mins doing STREET GAME in the clubbing area - they weren't 9s but they weren't trash either - doable and then i f closed a girl i pulled from Billion in a park near by this was my first night there.)

The ONS's you're typically gonna get are 5's and 6's, if you're going to the right clubs and you run decent enough game/get lucky enough then you could maybe pull something higher.

The smaller the city, the smaller the chances of an ONS - if this bothers you or you're stuck in a smaller city then lower your standards or move to a real city.

I have known a few guys who lived in small hokey places like Wuhan or Suzhou and they lost their shit once they moved to SH/BJ and realized how awesome it was.


The exceptions:

Having OBVIOUS social value i.e a table or a big bunch of Chinese friends with a table, being able to speak Chinese.

Being white is also social value BUT only to certain Chinese, hence why i mentioned that going to foreign bars is easier for guys without the language skills.

The table is really useful to have - it gives you A LOT of value and makes it much easier to pick up girls/ONS them as being at a table usually means drinking (I personally almost never use a table - i prefer to use my skills rather than alcohol and bought social value).

The really beautiful girls don't usually mix with foreigners (due to the fact most white guys who come here have no standards and are all with ugly girls which then sets the Chinese expectation about what sort of girls foreigners are with) so you need some sort of leverage to pick them up more easily (going to the mall in the day time is the easiest/best way to meet them as u won't get cockblocked)

These are all things which can make it possible to ONS higher level girls more easily.

If you have no standards then i'm sure you could ONS 4 girls in a week without needing to be too awesome.....the girls wouldn't be very good though.


ESL/Teaching English in China:


1. Shanghai pays you more, also costs more.

Doing 20 teaching hours a week should get you around 12,000rmb, if you're being paid less than that i suggest you change jobs. (10,000 would be acceptable if you have zero experience).

This is the pay rate for working for afternoon/weekend English schools where the kids come and play games ect ect.

High schools and stuff could be more or less depending 'who' you are working for.

I worked for a head hunting company that would find and place teachers into schools, i was making $35 Australian dollars an hour and was employed entirely by that company, not the school.

You barely need a pulse to do these jobs, just look clean, show up make sure everyone has a good time and be respectful/polite to everyone - especially the parents.

The girls:

Beijing girls are the best.

(I live in SH and have done so for 3 years, I'm gonna move to BJ just for this reason)

Hands down.

They win in terms of fashion, bodies, personality (they are more fun and more interesting than SH girls) and just general happiness.

The reason for this mainly is that Shanghai is a super competitive city whereas Beijing is full of 'culture'...the difference is that in Shanghai everyone is crazy busy trying to make money and have less time to go out and have fun.

Beijing people seem more laid back and easy going, I've found they are generally about equally accepting of foreigners (the guys anyway).

Most Chinese guys without money have terrible game.

Most C guys with money have some level of game due to exposure to many women......its not real game though, its just spender/IExpectYouToDoWhatIWantGame.

Now on top of that there are tens of THOUSANDS of Chinese guys studying Game...and by studying i mean most of them look at forums and argue about shit.

There are some that go out and try to pick up....but its mostly a joke....they use some deformed version of MM and then try to do direct approaches and a lot of them fail hardcore due to terrible fashion, no game plan and a general lack of cool.

They basically do this:

1. Don't go to clubs.

2. Go to the mall, spot a girl, run up to her (literally jumping out from behind - they don't want the girl to see them coming) and say the following:

Hi, I saw you and had a feeling that made me have to come over and talk to you, can we be friends and if you have time at some point maybe we could have coffee together?

Then NC.

If the girl rejects you then its ok, you are looking for the girls who respond well, those who rejected your bizarre and messed up approach were a waste of time.

One of the guys who is famous in China for teaching PUA for a long time (he teaches this method) has these results:

20 attempts to NC gets him 2 numbers, 20 numbers equals 2 to 4 dates.

I am teaching PUA to Chinese guys in China as my job so I am not trying to 'put C guys down' without some actual real insight into the situation.

Great fucking post! That inspired me to hit China when Im done with South America. I dont think I gave Asia a fair shake on my first go around.

So it appears that one needs to stick to the bigger main cities of Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, and Shenzhen.

Is there any other city one should consider? And in which order would you rank the cities in terms of total package ie pay, nightlife, jobs, women ect?

Also whats the best way to go about getting esl jobs? Any certain recruiters you know about?

It seems like the esl scene is more laid back in China compared to Korea. As far as work pressure and stress.

i didn't know anyone who used a recruiter to get a job in China, most just contact schools directly.

Beijing is more dry and probably worse air to breathe, but cooler architecture and more real Chinese culture. I thought girls in Shanghai were better looking but Kane and YMG think Beijing had better looking girls, I sure didn't see them.

Both have good nightlife. Shanghai is more materialistic and the most westernized city in China.

I started to it answer any particular questions rather than high jack a different thread (which is happening anyway.....)

I banged all of those girls, 1st one is from HK, the other 3 are all from Shanghai.

These girls are not really average.........

The first one is a normal HK girl...

The second is a cosplay girl (hence she always looks awesome/dresses awesome) who i met on the metro who was dressed in J school girl style .

The 3rd is a model/uni student who i met when I was doing my bootcamp with my teacher.

The 4th is a girl i met a few weeks after my BC in a club.......

out of the whole lot the 1st and 4th are the most 'common' or easiest to find around here.....


The problem with Shanghai isn't exactly a lack of hot girls...its more a lack of access (hot girls imo are Asian or Eastern European - Aussie/American/English white girls don't count) as most of the hot girls during night game are at tables, this doesn't make it impossible just a lot more difficult as in China you pay for tables and if you've paid (and are a Chinese dude) for a table and invited girls out..you generally don't feel to happy about some broke ass white guy coming in and rolling your women.

You can find decent/hot girls during the day and they are much easier to get then too.....

You can just rock up and get a job, its actually better to do this as if you sign up with a company beforehand u have very little to compare it against and ur gonna get a shit deal.

Beijing is drier (overall the weather is better than SH during summer/autumn) and more polluted....it is unbearable cold during winter.

Shanghai/SH People are much more materialistic and money focused...basically expect your money to mean a lot more there.

People in BJ are happier and just more fun imo....I've had more enjoyable times with Beijing girls....and generally per interaction I could say i've enjoyed meeting and talking to BJ girls more.

The problem with Beijing - there are more hot girls than you will have time to talk to you.

Day Game:

San Li Tun village -

Rich expat area, basically here you will find SUPER well dressed sexy Chinese girls who generally speak English at least reasonably well.

You will also find Russian girls and a varied mixture of hot foreign chicks/models.

Night Game:

If you want foreign trash go to the bar street next to San Li Tun, there are probably decent or half decent chicks there too......(never been to the bar street there)

The best 2 places for night game:

1. Mix (Gong Ti Bei Lu - Workers stadium) - By far the best bar in Beijing (I think the best in China discluding HK), literally more hot girls than u can approach/talk too.

There are lots of hot girls generally hanging around out the front of the bar where its easy to engage them, there are 4 dance floors, a down stairs area and an outside back area...there are also lounges out the front of the bar.

You can find women EVERYWHERE in this bar...they are generally running around so even if they are at a table with their friends you can still engage them.

BJ guys cockblock about the same amount as SH guys.

This bar is not for newbies.....its fast, the women are an average of 8/8.5 and its loud.

i LOVE places like this, i fucking THRIVE in clubs like this......most people don't though as most of the Foreign PUA's in BJ don't go to this club as its 'too loud' and 'too difficult'.......

My quickest pull from this club was 10 mins, it was with my student/friend and we pulled 2 girls from the dance floor straight to his place (they were not 9s :<, more like 6s)

The 2nd choice is Xiu Bar: (inside The Park Hyatt - Guo Mao)

This place is perfect if you want to find foreign lovers....A lot of women go here to find classy/semi classy foreign guys who are staying at the Hyatt......there are also hookers...but most of the clientele are normal girls.

The club is really good, many many seating areas both inside and out, decent dance floor and the quality level of girls is pretty good.


3rd....Wu Dao Ko

Thursday nights i think has many students.....Chinese students/90s kids are curious - curious is good.



During the week.....Beijing is better - Mix has people every night, I'm sure the other places are decent (i spent almost all my time at mix for like a week straight) and have people.

Shanghai SUCKS during the week - the foreign bars will be ok and will have foreign girls (Please remember that When i say it sucks I'm saying that because there is a LACK of Chinese girls in bars - Not a lack of foreigners. I generally go to Chinese style clubs) the places to go would be Mint, M2 and wherever has ladies nights.

M2 Has people every night i think....every time i've gone there during the week though its been pretty shit and most of the people were at tables.

There are some places with Salsa or other things going on that attract people.....during the week...Shanghaistuff.com is a good place to find that out, there are a bunch of other expat/sh related websites.


Chinese clubs:

If you don't speak Chinese you're fighting an uphill battle...its do able but you're better off going to a FL bar (if ur just after a root) or going out with a community guy who knows the deal and can help run stuff.

If anyone goes to SH or BJ let me know, I'm in SH most of the time and my boy is in BJ - he is a champion and lots of fun to sarge with.


Also if anyone wants a teaching job in SH let me know as i know people who always want teachers.

at the bars I saw hot girls in BJ just not many walking around the city but I have been to SH many more times. BJ's cold winter and sand storms makes me prefer SH for the long term, plus SH is closer to SE Asia.

If/when I return it will be SH, BJ, or Taiwan.
