I've been dealing with these guys for years for coconut oil and a few other products, but have never tried their coconut vinegar. All their products I have tried have been top notch. You'll pay good money for good products. I'm interested to hear what kind of results people get subbing coconut vinegar for ACV. I'm sure it's good shit, but I'm interested in knowing specific qualitative differences.
Health: Apple Cider Vinegar
So far I'm noticing raging morning wood like when I was 16, and great massive shits (sometimes a second within the hour) and possibly a little weight loss (it's only been a week).

However I discovered our local Kroger-clone (Dillon's) has Bragg in their hippie-food section. I'll try that next.

While lurking over a year ago, this thread got me started on Braggs ACV. It's perfect for making pickled garlic.
This morning I took four bulbs of garlic, removed the skin and sliced the cloves into halves. They were placed into a mason jar which was filled with Braggs ACV, a teaspoon of blackstrap molasses and a dash of salt. In a week they'll be ready to eat and won't have the harsh bite of fresh raw garlic.
The same can be done with fresh ginger.
When finished, the remaining ACV can be used in salad dressing. Great stuff!

Woooooo! Timing is EVERYTHING. I took my glassfull of diluted ACV right before my workout and it was amazing! I thought the zinc was giving me mad energy for working out but this is like a double whammy.
Question: Im living in area now in South America where I can only buy the filtered version of ACV, does anyone know if this means that I will miss out on most of the benefits I would receive when drinking ACV with 'the mother' in it or if the differences are not so big? I also ask because it is about 6 dollars here for a Half a liter bottle, so if it is not that beneficial, ill focus on other supps...

You have a really great name for this ACV subject, so I would have thought that you would be the “expert.”
I am really confused about this topic of the effects of apple cider vinegar as compared with other vinegars and even how these food products affect a guy’s gut flora.
Dr. Mercola talks about various kinds of vinegars, and suggests that the less processed the better, but he does NOT really answer your question.
http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articl...eaner.aspx
Surely, the consensus seems to be that the less processed the food or the vinegar the better for a guy’s health, but then your question has to do with whether a guy will get any benefit at all from ingesting a semi-processed version of vinegar.
I am torn with this, too, because my understanding is that the processed vinegar may actually kill the beneficial flora. Yet, there is some literature that praises vinegar – even distilled vinegar. Actually, sometimes when I get various pickled products from the store that are packaged in vinegar, I cannot resist but to drink the vinegar juice. I am NOT sure if that is harming me, but it tastes very good after exercising.
Another problem, even with good pre-biotics is that the beneficial bacteria contained therein may get destroyed by passing through the stomache – before it even gets to the area of the gut where it can be beneficial to the guy’s gut flora. Accordingly, there have been some recent research into resistance starch – that would allow the beneficial bacteria to pass into the lower gut.
K Galt started a thread on resistance starch:
http://www.rooshvforum.network/thread-31408.html
I know that Basil Ransom started a thread on fermented foods, and I believe that the philosophy of fermenting foods is NOT to use vinegar because it would kill the beneficial bacteria.

I don't understand one thing. Is the ACV that you guys using actually pure, 100% concentrated ACV that you then dilute or take in very small doses - or is it the 5% solution in water? I put about a teaspoon of that 5% solution on my salad almost daily.
p.s. a half-liter bottle of this 5% solution costs about 1.5 dollars here, it's very cheap.

From what I have been gathering in the several posts in this thread, a lot of the guys, including myself, have been using Braggs unfiltered ACV with the Mother... like the one in this post.
http://www.rooshvforum.network/thread-7518-p...#pid579506
I believe that would be considered 100% ACV (NOT diluted).
I recall that my 32 oz bottle cost about $6, and I will mix the ACV with all kinds of foods (in order to dilute some of the acidity). I will put it in soups and various beverages and otherwise mix it in with the foods de jure.
It seems that other guys are doing similar things as I am.. some guys may have specific habits and dilute it with milk or juice or eggs.
Regarding my adding ACV to my soup, I do NOT cook the ACV or add the ACV when the soup is very hot b/c I am worried about killing off the good pro-biotics in the ACV. Whether there is any scientific backing to my practice, I am NOT sure... but I have read that heat kills off probiotics. It would be like cooking your yogurt would kill off the probiotics. Anyhow, I will add the ACV right while I am eating the soup or when the soup is sufficiently cooled down.
I recently bought another brand of ACV unfiltered with the mother (it was about the same price as the braggs), but i have NOT opened that bottle, yet. If anyone is interested, I can send a picture of the bottle of the other brand of ACV that i was going to try out.

For those times when regular ACV just wont cut it. Cant wait to try this!

Just started the coconut vinegar regiment. I can't tell which vinegar tastes worse. Its like having the option of licking sweaty asshole or yeast infection pussy.
Honestly, getting down 3x servings of vinegar w/ grapefruit daily is hard. Took a couple weeks off, and now back on it, as I'm gaining weight again. Gotta keep the eye on the prize.

I wish it was possible to shoot up ACV.
Oh well here's another way to take it.
Buy some of this stuff
Dilute your ACV in water per usual then squirt the drink mix into the concoction for a second or two. Stir it around and drink it.
The Mi0 takes the bite out of the ACV and you are left with a drink that almost resembles sweet tea with a tiny hint of ACV.
This is on point. I dknt use sweet tea but whatever flavor you use will work.
A man is only as faithful as his options-Chris Rock
@Ali... mix it with cinnamon, stevia and ginger, watered down, of course.
I've been taking straight double shots of it for 3 months and don't notice anything beyond a shit storm. Diluting is the move?
Just started this a few days ago (shot glass of ACV + 8 oz water twice daily) and it's definitely given me a boost of energy, especially in the mornings.
Most mornings I'm groggy as fuck, usually hitting snooze about 5 times before I actually get out of bed. Now I'm up and ready as soon as my alarm goes off. Haven't used it long enough to talk about any weight loss, but it's worked a hell of a lot better than caffeine for me.
EDIT: and I haven't felt that 2 pm post-lunch crash I normally feel either.

@Crunk... yes, diluting is the move. If you're drinking it straight, you're wearing the enamel off your teeth and potentially damaging your stomach and esophagus. You can dilute it enough that you can barely taste it in water and still get the same benefits from it.
@Deuce... one of the things that I noticed is that it changes how your body metabolizes sugar, which is why you're not getting that after lunch crash. It also stops me from eating late-night snacks before bed, which, for me, is one of the keys to staying fit.

I just start using ACV. I have been logging the effects of it on most days, hoping to end up with a good data sheet.
I just recently restarted doing the ACV post meals. I stopped for a while because I had other unrelated health stuff going on, and I wanted to make sure the ACV had nothing to do with it. I stopped doing ACV for about 4 months.
Things I have noticed from before quitting, that I have noticed again since restarting.
1. No more hangovers. This was one of the first things I noticed when I started taking ACV post-meals. When I discontinued the ACV regimen my hangovers returned. Anecdotally, I have friends who will drink pickle juice (regular vinegar) to help overcome a hangover, so there's that.
2. Morning wood. Better than just zinc alone. Noticeably so.
3. I only do about a tablespoon of ACV, never more than half a shot glass. In the morning I chase the ACV with my 50/50 mixture of green tea/pineapple juice (like a Hawaiian Arnold Palmer). The tart/sour aspect of the pineapple juice helps to mask the bite of the ACV. In the afternoons/evenings I chase simply with water.
4. ACV+olive oil makes a solid dressing/coleslaw. When making a coleslaw, I usually do 1.5:1:1 ACV/Oil/Sugar (mostly equal parts of each, with a little added ACV to taste).
As far as teeth health is concerned, I will usually rinse my mouth out with two or three mouthfuls of water, to dilute any remaining ACV in my mouth. I do not brush my teeth until at least 20 minutes after taking ACV.
I don't notice any sort of improvement with my digestion/BM's, but I have a fairly regular/healthy whole food diet, so that's never been a problem.

I have a yeast infection on my dick from rawdogging and heared that treating it with ACV works. Any of you tried it?
I wanted to share some additional info on the wonders of ACV. Apple Cider Vinegar has:
- Gotten rid of my hypertrophic scar on my foot. The scar developed due to ill fitting shoes. It had been around for 3+ years. Two weeks of ACV dipped on a cotton ball and taped up with a bandaid and duct tape got rid of it real fast.
-One of my boys had a wart on his hand, after applying ACV (same method as mine), the wart blackened and fell off in a week.
- I got my other boy (an African American cat -- highly susceptible to keloid scars) on the ACV regimen right now. Hopefully his scar drops off.
These are few examples of topical applications of ACV that have worked. Let me know if you need specifics.

I soaked mine in some for 5 minutes just to see, and it grew 4 inches.
At least it did NOT fall off.
Hey, if it wasn't for this forum, I would never of heard about ACV. Thanks for recommending it.
I used to take this daily, better start up again...
The price of ACV up here in the north is $3.99 for a small bottle of the stuff. That was the price I was paying in Texas for a bottle twice the size! This is egregious
