Super foods?

Alright so day one on bee pollen, Im fucking sold and then some.
Got an average night sleep, so I cant chock any of this up to that.
Woke up at 5am
Bee pollen at 5:45am on my way out the door
Get to work at 6:00am
--Feeling tired in the way I regularly do at this time, still half asleep, but coming too, normally would take a double shot of espresso
Skipped the espresso, zero caffeine in my system
7:30am started feeling really awake, all the grogginess had gone away
8am -3:25pm
Felt great the rest of the day, tons of energy, and I felt more positive today then I normally do on caffeine, wasn't edgy at all, but was very upbeat and energetic.
Its worth noting too, today was one of my biweekly fasting days, I skip breakfast and lunch to maintain an 20 hour water fast, so none of these effects could be attributed to the food I ate
The package lists a serving size as "one heaping teaspoon" but it also says to start with less then that, I took about 0.5t and got this much of boost, very interested to see what a big teaspoon will give me tomorrow.
Wasn't badly priced either, $9 for 56 servings

I am way too lazy to look around for some, so I think I might just head over to GNC and get some. Or maybe I'll drag myself to a organics store like Whole Foods and get a huge jar...
Other than energy, did it do anything else?

I just bought some bee pollen. It was only $7 at GNC so why not. I am currently eating it.. I mixed it in with tea (I learned to mix it in with tea during my visit to the Mekong Delta, in Vietnam). I also started eating RAW honey- I've been eating it after my cardio workouts as a means to restoring my glycogen stores.
Has anyone ever taken Horny Goat Weed? I've heard good things. I'm definitely going to buy some soon.

Woke up today, got less sleep then I'd like (about 5 hours) the night before, took a big teaspoon of the pollen, seems it took about the same time it did yesterday to kick in, that being about an hour.
It was the same effect, a sudden woosh of energy over took me and I rode it out all day. This time my sleep deprivation caught up eventually and I started to lag out, but it wasn't a hard crash like caffeine/processed sugar, it just slowly fizzled.
Moma:
I'm 23
Work on my feet with moderate lifting for 8 hours
Monday and Friday I go to the gym 2.5 hours
Tuesday and Thursday I skip breakfast and lunch to maintain a 20-24 hour water fast
Breakfast is either a protein smoothie (muscle milk, bananas, frozen berries) or an egg white omelet
Lunch is either a piece of meat with a side of veggies, and somtimes fruit, or a salad with lots of boiled eggs and meat, no dressing, oil and vinegar
Dinner is usually just meat with a little veg, on Mondays and Fridays I drink a protein shake as soon as I get home to get he whey into my system
I was a caffeine junkie, been off it for two days now, was irritable today, but that might have been lack of sleep.
As for morning wood, its sporadic, some days yes, some days no, granted I'm in a bit of a dry spell so I'm jerking it more then I should be (once a day) so I might be killing any morning wood that way
Edit:
Its worth noting too, that the effects of this stuff are so strong and so long lasting I'd be genuinely concerned about taking it after 5pm on a work night. I am, however, very eager to try it out this weekend to see what kind of rush it gives me going into the night.

I took bee pollen yesterday and I noticed a nice difference in energy. We need more members to try it... this might need to be added to the baking soda list.

Alright, tried it last night before going out, didn't have the same effect as in the morning.
If I had to hypothesize I'd say that maybe it doesn't "give" you energy the way caffeine does, it "multiplies" energy. The first day I took it I felt amazing but I slept well. I took it yesterday morning, didn't sleep as well, didn't feel as good. Took it yesterday night when I was already tired from being up since 5am, didn't do much of anything at all.

I finally got around to buying some. I went to Whole Foods and got the only bee pollen I found, it says on the jar it's Bee Pollen with Honey.
On my way out the door heading to work, I took maybe 3/4 of a tablespoon of this stuff. It was hard and chewing on it really fucked with my sweet tooth. So anyways, I managed to swallowed it down, but I really didn't feel any difference in energy or mood throughout the day. I was still yawning and didn't feel any difference.
Anyone know why?

Like I mentioned before, it seems to work more as an amplifications of energy, rather then straight giving you a boost. I've been taking it daily since I got it, and if I dont sleep well the night before and wake up groggy and tired it doesn't do much, but the days I got a good night of sleep and wake up ready to go it super charges that feeling.

All foods are super foods if they came from the earth and were grown organically.
There is no one special, magical food. You have to use a wide variety of natual foods to achieve optimum health.

a supper food is....wait for it.... Horse meat!
I don't know why this tasty meat is banned in the US (cowboy culture, whatever...) but here in Canada you can find it in most major stores, specially in Quebec or major cities (Toronto, Vancouver etc.). it is very lean and high in Iron. It is also readily available in Europe and a healthier alternative than beef for the same price.
Another super food is Bison which is available in North america but a lot less in Europe.

One thing that may be overlooked, is the benefits of juicing. I would urge everyone who have a few dollars to spend on whores, shoes, jewelry, to invest in a good juicer, and a good book about the benefits of juicing. You get great recipes, and specific combinations to accomplish certain health benefits. of This also helps to eliminate the angst one may have when it comes having to forage like a gorilla in order to get daily servings of fruits and vegetables. It's worth a try.

I'm big on superfoods. I don't like to use that term tho, I like to eat foods that are "dense" in nutrients... is it a shortcut ? Yea maybe, but personally I think one of modern mans short-comings is are shitty diets. I think diet plays a big role in the beatification of the western man. We lack foods rich in male nutrients and we pump are selves full of womanizing empty corns and soy products.
Sardines are a good cheap way to get nutrient dense oily fish in you. Wild Salmon is far from cheap and being on a student diet the only seafood I can afford is tuna, squid, and sardines.
Bison and horse are great meats. The reason they are so good and lean is that for hte most part they still eat their natural foods. Horses still feed on iron and nutrient grasses and the residue gets trapped in there meat. Contrast this to modern beef which is nothing more than crap. Cardboard painted red, with very little nutritional value.
One thing that is great also are SPROUTS! I'm eventually going to figure out how to grow them because its way cheaper but sports are still alive and the most nutrient dense stage of the plants life. You can by sprouts powder like alfalfa or you can by the live stuff. Look at the nutrient contents next-time you in the store, full of male friendly magnesium and shit. I throw this in my protein shakes and smoothies I crush down in the mornings. Other good Sprouts are broccoli, and the might wheatgrass.
Other good stuff is kale, spurilnia (A type of algae, sea vegetable which is a complete protein, dense as fuck), and hemp.
About juicing... its a good thing to do no doubt but I've herd that the fiber that you take out actually helps the body draw out the proper nutrients and shit from the fruits and veg? I know hardcore juicers mix and match certain veg and fruits to maybe balance this out? I've always been interested in it but ain't make the plunge on them expensive juicers tho.
I'm interested in the bee pollen too. Never herd of the stuff. Just learned the other day about pine pollen and how that helps boost T-levels naturally. I take in too much caffeine, working out has kept my energy levels up for them sot part but to study and sit throw shitty classes I pound a black coffee or take a caff-tap to keep me up. for sure not ideal for the long term.
