Sexmission (Polish: Seksmisja)
Haven't seen the movie, but the plot seems to be an accurate depiction of feminism.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexmission

Quote:Quote:

Instead of being awakened a few years later as planned, they wake up in the year 2044, in a post-nuclear world. By then, humans have retreated to underground living facilities, and, as a result of subjection to a specific kind of radiation, all males have died out.
Women reproduce through parthenogenesis, living in an oppressive feminist society, where the apparatchiks teach that women suffered under males until males were removed from the world.

Quote:Quote:

In doing so, they discover the truth: radiation was just a feminist lie to keep women underground and the surviving male population were "naturalised" into women by the feminists when they took power in the post-war period. As a result of discovering the truth, both Max and Albert begin thinking of bringing the world back to normal.

Surprised no one mentioned Wall Street(1987)--it is still a cult favorite at my firm. Some guys still wear suspenders because that is what Gekko did.

Gordon Gekko--Ultimate Alpha Male

Taught me the value of money, renting vs owning, and to never get emotional (women, money, etc). He was also ruthlessly efficient and had a take no prisoner's attitude. He was like a machine--everything was evaluated financially and reduced to a profit or loss.

Only negative about the movie--Charlie Sheen's character betrays Gekko at the end

This movie should be required watching for every man. Bear Bryant might have been one of the most intimidating males in modern history, and he was just a football coach.

Anyone got any other recommendations? I've seen all that were suggested in this thread already.

Hud, it's fucking brilliant, 1963 and all that but the way Hud talks to the women is brilliant.

I will second this one. Hud may be one of the most alpha characters I've seen in a movie.

I don't know if 'Scent of a woman' was mentioned. I saw Al Pacino's character as an true alpha. What intrigued me most though was how it focused in on masculine principles. Not just taking but also how giving makes you a man.

The way he instilled that in the younger character was cool but how the young cat embodies that in the end even though he's shy was also cool.

The best part though was when Pacino rolls in and tells the crowd how stupid they are for not seeing that.

Definitely worth a watch if you haven't seen it.

Just watched Life of Pi, great movie overall the reason I put it here in the red pill is because of the main characters father. He has a very realistic way of viewing things.

Moonrise Kingdom anyone?

I wouldn't call it red pill. It's more of a wish to go back to the way things used to be.

Moonrise Kingdom is my favorite movie of all time. I have watched it probably ten times.

I thought Leo in Revolutionary Road was going to be a "Notebookish" romantic tale but he held his own and stuck to his principles. I watched it with a girl and had to bite my tongue throughout the movie to keep from pointing out various tactics of the whirlwind, cold fish attitude of Kate Winslet's character. There were some spirited arguments in the movie from the first few minutes and Leo played the logical male to a T. Recommended viewing.

Also definitely check out Bronson!

One of the first movies dealing with Red Pill that I remember seeing was Swingers. Vince Vaughn's character tells John Favreau that chicks don't fall for puppy dogs and ice cream talk. Also, don't be like the guy in the PG-13 movie that everyone is routing before. Be like the guy in the rated R movie that you are not quite sure you like. Love this movie.

Just saw The Deer Hunter with Robert de Niro and Christopher Walken...both in their prime. The film was made in 1978.

Fantastic portrayal of two natural alphas. De Niro does what he wants and takes complete control of every situation...except when it comes to women. This was my problem before I learned game and my fathers problem as well. Guys who can do whatever they want and excel at everything in life, except when it comes to females...bizarre but very common.

The movie hit home for me and it has one of the most intense scenes I have ever seen on screen. You'll know it when you see it. Highly recommended.

Make sure you're in the right mindset, some of it goes a bit slow (its 3hrs long) so make sure you are ready to take in the details. It makes the ending a lot more impactful if you digest all the seemingly drawn out parts.

I think a redpill movie isn't just about some plot that is communicated.

Watching a redpill movie is a movie that is as powerful an experience to undergo as life can be. A redpill movie is a movie that cuts down into your bones and changes your life. It's the type of movie that isn't necessarily entertainment.. you watch it because you are interested at first, and then realize that you can't get away from it, long after you've finished watching it.

It breathes and feels real and difficult like life, and doesn't sugar coat harsh realities of how things work. It's not a visionary fantasy world that is meant to coddle the egos of those living in the blue pill.

Cassavetes' movies are redpill to me. Watch Faces or Woman Under the Influence or Husbands.

I've always thought Shane was a good example of the Alpha gunslinger. It doesn't start out that way though. I was thinking he's beta until two-thirds of the way in. Then it is shown what an alpha asskicker he really is (and puts Jack Palance in his place!)

Recently Netflixed American Beauty. Surprised no one mentioned this. It has a tragic ending but it's about a guy with a bitchy American wife, ingrate of a teenage daughter, cog in the wheel job and a meaningless suburban life that throws it all out the window to follow his own path and rediscover what it means to be a man.

I vividly remember the feeling I had when the credits rolled on American Beauty. From that moment on it has been #1 on my all time list of movies as the character arc of Lester Burnham was the most realistically triumphant story I'd ever seen. It wasn't until I discovered this awesome community that I realised why the film hit me so hard & has stayed with me for so long. I literally get a massive testo rush & want to fist pump when I watch that scene where he's caught working out & smoking dope in the garage.

(obviously haven't got the hang of embedding yet, or quoting you cats it would seem)

I went to see this with my mum, as I recall & our reactions were polar opposite upon discussion afterwords. I have found bringing it up within new groups I meet to be a good measuring stick of other's red/blue pillery.

When American Beauty came out all reviews said it was a great movie and how it was about how we must appreciate the small things in life. My impression was that it was about a midlife crisis in suburbia. Back then, I just didn't know what a feminized frame the whole term 'midlife crisis' was.

Great movie. (By the way, the original script was actually better. It featured a court case where daughter and her boyfriend stand trial for Lester's murder.)

The Dark Knight Rises: try not to view it in a modern context of the Occupy Movement. Instead imagine you are in France in 1789. Bane & his crew are the Progressive Jacobins and Batman represents the aristocracy (the reactionaries).

Fight Club: duh

300: definitely some nationalist/fascist undertones throughout the movie and has a very pro-masculinity message

Starship Troopers: parts of the movie are critical of democracy i.e. in the new republic, only those who serve in the military have the privileges of a citizen

The Matrix: duh

V for Vendetta: anti-tyranny movie (will give any libertarian an erection)

Atlas Shrugged: see libertarian boner

The original Italian movie swept away. Great story of a deck hand who gets stranded on an island with an ultra rich bitch beauty. This is a quintessential red pill movie about how to put a woman in her place. Also shows how quickly traditional roles return to their natural states when women depend on men for protection and basic survival. Highly recommend

I agree that both Hud and Scent of a Woman are solid picks.

However, nobody has mentioned the film Closer with Clive Owen and Jude Law. I love how Clive Owen's character manipulates and fucks over everybody after having his heart ripped out. The way he attacks Jude Law's character is absolute alpha.

I think that the "The Dollars trilogy" by Sergio Leone is the ultimate red pill, and, altough highly fantasized, the "Man with no Name" character is the definition of how should be an Alpha Male. Confident, calm, bold, sharp, clever, resourceful...

That movie was pretty amazing. I've always been a pretty big Richard Linklater fan, but I was surprised by how Red Pill Boyhood was, especially compared to his Before Sunset movies.

The whole movie was interesting due to the 12 years of filming, but one of my favorite scenes was when Ethan Hawke tells his 18-year old son how women are always looking to trade up, and to never get too attached. Definitely true, but not something you'd expect to be said on the big screen.
