Red Pill Movies

I have followed the recommendations of this thread and The Last American Virgin is probably THE definitive Red Pill movie. The truth hits and it hits hard. If you can get past the dumb parts (dick measuring and other teenage movie pablum), therein lies a great message.

I offer up to the board the movie, The Rules of Attraction (2002), based upon the Bret Easton Ellis (also known for American Psycho) novel of the same name. There are plenty of examples of the Red Pill through the practical Alpha (Victor), the pseudo-Alpha (Sean), and a glimpse into female hierarchy competition between Lara and Lauren.

Here's a glimpse...

The film is eye-opening, in the respect that it illuminates the extreme spectrum of sexual strategies (cringe beta/aloof alpha for men as well as sexually strict/loose for women) that are inherent in both men and women. Watch the movie, and then tell me who the winners and losers were at the very end. (sure as hell wasn't the girl in the bathtub) Interestingly enough, the "winners" adopted the same strategy.

"Despite their numbers, their pussyness means I was barely hurt. 2 black eyes and a cut nose, no big deal. I could sense the fear in them so as they were walking I chased them down and told them to "go home". They all left like little girls." - Revelations 21:4

The Warriors (1979)

One of my favourite cult classics.

You can see how the boys/men worked together in gangs and established hierarchies (i.e. lessons from The Way Of Men).

They make no excuses for violence often being a part of a young man's life

Also how they interact with the girls they come across...

Plus even if you don't care to analyze it like that, it's just a stylish flick that keeps you entertained the whole way through.

The Matador (2005)

Many people slept on this movie, but it's also considered one of Pierce Brosnan's best roles.

It's laid out as an Alpha meets Beta dark comedy.

Quirky, shows how life would be for one style of older player, while he travels the world.

Complaints about day game in Mexico:

I'm just going to add my voice to those recommending The Tao Of Steve and Crazy, Stupid, Love. Found them enjoyable as well as enlightening.

Lots of movie recommendations to check out here, community consensus pushing me towards Eyes Wide Shut and The Last American Virgin.

Polanskini can't end films satisfyingly though. Rosemary's Baby had the best ending of his movies I have seen and that was one his first. His builds this great dreadful atmosphere with tons of tension in his movies, but never delivers the climax.

You didn't like the ending of The Ninth Gate?

I loved The Ninth Gate and don't agree at all with the people that say that about the ending; it was pretty obvious what was going on. I think a lot of people were expecting a Hollywood blockbuster with explosions and car chases and the movie is nothing of the sort, so they were very disappointed and never really understood the movie. Not that it takes a genius to understand what happened, it was pretty obvious like I said before.

I have to admit though, the book, by the Spanish author Arturo Perez-Reverte, was much better than the movie (but isn't it always?)

I also loved Eyes Wide Shut, the music was fantastic, can't believe it has been more than ten years since I watched it, I must re-watch it. Funny enough, I didn't like EWS ending at all.

The Last American Virgin, 10/10, would watch again. Real life.

Wish I would have seen that when I was 16 instead of learning everything the hard way.

Yeah, I had posted this movie earlier. It is the quintessential red pill movie.

An uncle teaches his nephew about game. I think VK recommended it once.

This one comes up a lot, but no one ever mentions how BETA Campbell Scott's character becomes in the end.

In fact, he spouts a lot of knowledge, and has great verbal game, but he gets shot down all movie. Just becomes a sad sack by the end.

The dude was beta from the beginning!

a)fucking your boss?! wtf
b) not accepting when she's done fucking you and doesn't want you to show up only for you to take some article of her clothing and borderline stalk/throw a fit?! a BIG WTF

the guy kinda throws a bit of knowledge here and there, but he pisses the women off and doesn't even lay anyone. . .

of course the kid is bad but. . .he's 16, the only "game" a kid at that age should be taught is to "study hard, get in a good college, get a good job" game. Maybe getting him to stop masturbating and lift weights would help too.

that movie was just all sorts of bad.

Pretty Persuasion

The 2005 movie revolves around a slutty hellcat named Kimberley Joyce, played by a hot young Evan Rachel Wood. We see Kim at highschool accompanied by her WASPy best friend airhead/good girl (Brittany) and an Arab chick (Randa) who rarely speaks and knows nothing about American culture whatsoever. Anyways, Kimberley is a seductive, devious piece of work who always ends up getting her way; her father is rich and she’s clearly quite capable – and worse, she knows how easily she can manipulate people. It’s quite clear she’s mad about something, very mad. This is actually the whole theme of the movie: Kimberley setting up the plot to exact revenge.

This movie is the original red pill factory; cheating, female manipulation and clueless men, false rape accusations as a weapon, dysfunctional families, sex as a tool and tons of other stuff. The movie also showed quite well how superficial female friendships can be, while seemingly deep and caring there is also lack of loyalty. Especially when two women compete over the affection of an alpha male. James Woods is also quite good as Kimberley’s father. He’s also the only one who saw through Kimberley’s manipulations.

In the end Kimberley tells a reporter – who she used, btw – “It’s like the world is this orchestra and I’m the conductor”.

It sure looked like that. But is it true?

In the last scene we see Kimberley crying as a little girl lost.

Probably more of a sociopath than red pill, but Jason Patric in Neil LaBute's "Your Friends and Neighbors" has some great and memorable scenes.

This is a favorite...

Sort of straying from Red Pill stuff into Alpha/Beta dichotomy, but I found a gem in Ferris Bueller's Day Off today. I've seen it at least over a dozen times as a kid and always saw the comedic aspect of it, but there are some choice quotes in that movie as well.

Cameron is the epitome of the Blue Pill. Every positive emotion he experiences (pre-Ferrari crash) has to be prodded out of him via Ferris or Sloane. He doesn't have ambition, goals, or stand for anything in particular. That is, until he finally grows a sack at the end of the movie.

Now for some great quotes:

The transformation begins: "I am not going to sit on my ass as the events that affect me unfold to determine the course of my life. I'm going to take a stand. I'm going to defend it. Right or wrong, I'm going to defend it." -Cameron (right after he ruins the Ferrari)

"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."

"Not that I condone fascism, or any -ism for that matter. -Ism's in my opinion are not good. A person should not believe in an -ism, he should believe in himself. I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me."

Great fucking analysis right here..."Cameron has never been in love - at least, nobody's ever been in love with him. If things don't change for him, he's gonna marry the first girl he lays, and she's gonna treat him like shit, because she will have given him what he has built up in his mind as the end-all, be-all of human existence. She won't respect him, 'cause you can't respect somebody who kisses your ass. It just doesn't work."

"Despite their numbers, their pussyness means I was barely hurt. 2 black eyes and a cut nose, no big deal. I could sense the fear in them so as they were walking I chased them down and told them to "go home". They all left like little girls." - Revelations 21:4

"Wanted" (2008)

This wasn't the most amazing movie, but entertaining enough for one viewing, and it encapsulates a lot of Beta to Alpha fantasies for the modern young man:

Probably the oldest but possibly ultimate Red Pill story and Movie is one which I didn't realize is Red Pill until recently when I went 100% Red Pill.

It's the famous Mutiny on the Bounty, that took place in 1789, from which 3 books were written and 5 movies were made between 1916 and 1984.

Even though it took place almost 225 years ago, it still shows what happens when Western or English men are exposed to South East Asian or Pacific cultures and lifestyle. The story is famous for the mutiny, but not famous for why the mutiny happened. This exert from the article below sums it up pretty well why it happened:

"The young commander, Lieutenant William Bligh, and his crew were forced to wait almost six months in a sailors’ fantasyland. Beautiful women swam naked out to the ship. They introduced the men to a sexual culture that would have humbled Casanova"

http://www.vanityfair.com/culture/featur...airn200801

The descendants settled on remote Pitcairn Island which still has the same culture, but unfortunately has now deteriorated into a pedophile orgy, but still a very interesting story about people that get used to easy sex and soon don't care about anything else. Live on a tropical paradise with naked girls running around and lots of easy sex, or life in the British Navy...hmmm tough choice!

Just watched what was probably the most "red pill movie" I've ever scene next to "Bellflower" which I believe I recommended earlier in this thread.

It's a French film called "The Big Picture", a very concise portrayal of a pussy whipped beta male who is cuckolded by his wife, which leads to a cathartic series of events. I highly recommend this film, it is very powerful and touches on many things we discuss on this forum.

Here's the trailer:

I just watched the Minority Report.

Anyone notice that there is no grrrrl-power at all in the movie, and female characters are actually feminine, empathic, level-headed and actually help in small but significant ways?

I couldn't believe it. Simply stunning for modern cinema.
