While we are on the subject I was checkin out airbnb today too see if booking is already available for WC next year and sure, it seems possible to book right now. However, the rates seems surprisingly low in contrast to Vacancier P. and many others seem to talk about. I have found plenty of places for 25-45 € in central Rio.
Any catch?

Found the
uncensored version of "Garota Nacional". Skank is a band from BH.
I like the girl at 3:10.

So here are the choices (World Cup stadium cities):
- Fortaleza
- Belo Horizonte
- Porto Alegre
- Salvador
- Recife
- Cuiaba
- Manaus
- Natal
- Curitiba
Cuiaba. Totally out of the beaten tracks, good ratio of hot girls. Make a side trip to Cacares, and then maybe push to Porto Velho. And don't forget to make a three or four days adventure trip in
Pantanal.
Don't forget to eat the delicious river fish (pacu, pintado, dourado) soups.

@ Paninaro - I recommend Belo Horizonte and Porto Alegre for overall warmth and beauty of women.
You can find hotels off despegar.com or airbnb.com for the best values.
Perhaps you can find some weekly deals off easyquarto.com.br too, but that will take a bit of work.
I've never been to Salvador, but I heard the women there are a bit of a disappointment as people on here say Joao Pessoa (no games hosted) and Natal (WC games hosted) have the cutest chicks in Northeast where weather is warmer with some nice beaches.

July (World Cup) is winter season in Porto Alegre. Too cold, definitely not a good period to go there. In Salvador/Nordeste, it's rainy and also rather cold. Contrarily, in Cuiaba (as Manaus for that matter) it is the dry season.

@ Ramone - Que pena..pelo menos vc pode visitar Goiania todos os fins, nao e? Haha Too bad. How would you rate the women of say Brasilia vs. BH vs. Goainia? Would be nice to have your input!
@ Prosal - Warmer climate would be nice for the average traveler. For me, the cold isn't so bad since I put up with really bad heat back at home. Was just making suggestion based on chicks alone so therefore mentioned BH/POA haha.

I understood. Still, July/August is definitely not the best season in Southern Brasil.
Anyway, I don't see why anyone in his right mind would want to go to Brasil during the World Cup. Prices (that are already ridiculously high) will skyrocket and there will be zillions of tourists around, most of them sex-hungry. Yuck.

Cuiaba and Porto Velho are great off the beaten track for sure, but I wouldn't recommend first timers with no at the very least, semi fluent Portuguese there.
Salvador, I have mixed feelings about it. While it's a great place for cultural stuff with delicious food, it's not really a hot bed of hot women specially if you're not too much into the black women as I am. If however, you're into black women, then Salvador will be paradise for you. Plus, the beaches IN Salvador are not that great, unless you venture outside of the city, then you will find some gems.
Evolute,
I highly highly doubt that you can find anything in central Rio for those prices during the WC. My guess is that these places have not updated their rates for the WC yet. However, if you do find decent places in Rio during the WC at those prices that you quoted (25-45E/night), then I'd be all ears!
yb13, good stuff man! BH is a great city and your reports are only confirming my views about it! Keep posting all those nuggets from the ground!
Has anyone been to Aracaju, in Sergipe (just north of Salvador)? I hear it's beautiful, relaxed, relatively safe and with beautiful, sexy and hot girls who are very friendly...

IMO accommodation prices during the World Cup will be the same than during Carnaval or NYE, ie x 5.
Agree about Cuiaba and Porto Velho, it's not doable without a bit of portuguese. Still, it's an enthralling journey. I really enjoyed this part of Brasil. When you are in Porto Velho, you really have the (highly enjoyable) feeling to have travelled deep.

Cuiaba looks interesting. How much of a university town is it? I see the population is around 1 million, and the largest university there (UFMT) has 20,000 students. Are women there more of African or European descent?
Euro and Pocahontas-alike. Few black girls nevertheless. You will like it. If you go to Cuiaba you
must push to Porto Velho. What a enthralling journey, I envy you if you do it. It was one of my most memorable trip in Brasil.
