The owner seems to have taken the price off of the page but it was available for 300 Euro a couple of months back,I'm sure with the over supply and the crises in Hungary you can bargain rents down even lower too.

Thanks guys for the tip on Morrisons. Went there last night (first night out of 4days I got total) and fucked two chicks. One was from UK and shitfaced by 11pm, and the other was American and we left at about 2. Many cute girls there as part of hostel pubcrawls, but I didn't see any Hungarians there. Anyway,a very memorable night for me.

Haven't seen too much data on this forum about Budapest, which surprises me, It's my favourite city in Central/E Europe. The girls are hot and fun.

I would love to go back to budapest and stay for more than just 4 days.
I can easily see myself living there for a good 6 months.

You mention that the guy took the price off the page.

I rented from a guy on airbnb and i noticed he has raised the price.
Since I dont have any inside data on budapest..is there a rise in foreigners in the city? or a rise in property value...in a way where people are charging more,or trying to get more money out of other people?

I will be in Budapest in late August. The data sheets are a bit weak on hotels so if any one could fill me in on some options please.

I am not on a budget, and I prefer to be in a location where people actually come to the hotel at night for good food and drinks.

I gathered from the data sheets that the happening spots are on an island that is a taxi ride away. No big deal to travel to the dope night spots, but if anyone has been to a swank hotel that had some good evening drinks and food fill me in. Rooftop bars are especially welcome.

Are you guys referring to Morrison's Opera or Morrison's 2? A quick Google search informed me that there are two Morrisons by the same owner. I've never been, but I'm planning on going to Budapest in October and that will be on the top of my list of places to visit.

I went to Morrison's 2.
Never went to Morrison's opera so i don't know what its like. but I heard 2 is more popular.
its also closer to the bridge if you were gonna make it to the island

haha Ill be damned if Deb comes in here and says the one near opera was even better..

Even if so, that just means the girls at both places are great for quick bangs

I'm happy for you! You're bound to have a good time in Budapest, man.

I was there a few weeks ago and even though I initially planned to stay for 3 nights, I ended up staying for seven.

If I were you, I'd pick a place near Oktogon square (in red). I can't give you a specific hotel (I stayed in a hostel on Kiraly utca), but you should be fine sticking in or around the blue area.
You will be walking distance from many bars and clubs, but if you want to go some place further away, you have metro and trams and taxis, which are not hard to find. Also, supermarkets and stores all around.

I went to few places at night but visited them many times. They were so good proximity and women-wise that I just didn't feel like risking some place far away. I was tempted to try the island Entropy suggested in the OP, but I was on a tight budget and ended up not going.

The places I visited and vouch for were Szimpla (I'd estimate 80-90% foreign girls the times I was there) and Instant (more local girls, still many foreigners). They are both open pretty much every day.

Both places are huge and have many, many ambients and rooms and are mainly sort of pub-style, with people standing up, sitting, playing games (billiards, foosball), whatever.

If you like dancing, Instant is a good pick as they have three dancefloors, usually two playing electronic music and one playing hip-hop.

I met an amazing Hungarian girl in Instant and ended up in a mini-relationship with her for 5 days I had left in the city.

Although these places get busy at around 12pm or 1am, I'd recommend you to arrive at 11pm or so and check out the territory. And when girls start to swarm in, waste no time, as everyone there is horny as hell and if you take too long, groups will form and it'll be harder to join in.

Also, the girl took me to a similar place nearby, which was good aswell. I am not quite sure, but I believe it was this one, Ellató. I'm gonna try to check again and make sure.

There's a place I haven't been to, but heard good things from people in the city. As you wanted, it's a rooftop bar. It's called Corvintetö

A good place to meet people is Deák Ter. There always a bunch of both locals and foreigners any time of day of there. Going around 8pm is money because by that hour people start to meet and drink here planning on where to go later. It's a good spot to find a group to tag along with or to get some info on what places are gonna be good for the night. I specially liked the little pool area, where everyone dips their feet, and the region to the left of it on the map, which is a path where big groups hang out.

Many Hungarian men have little game, the dudes will be dancing together next to a group of girls doing nothing at all.But when you approach a girl, they will do a group cockblock.
And pay attention to this.

Many guys in Budapest seem to get more pleasure ouf of cockblocking you than getting a chick for themselves!

I went to a café with the girl I mentioned one night and a guy from the next table started talking to her. He actually bought her a flower from a street vendor and gave it to her while I was in the bathroom! They got some serious nerve and don't give a shit if the girl is with someone. And notice that they're not likely to cockblock by stealing the girl. What they do, not sure if on purpose or not, is turn her off and drive her away with their ridiculous game.

Hope this helps, man!
Have a great time over there!

Thanks Ringo. This was exactly what I was looking for. And well done on the maps.

I booked an executive suite at the Hotel Corinthia for my time there. The reviews were off the hook and the spa and executive lounge are supposed to be good.

The hotel looks great. And good location, too.

Although you'll have a spa in your own hotel, I'd suggest that visit at least one of the many spas in the city. I went to Szechenyi. The entrance costs less than 14€ and it's a good place to day game, always full of people, specially turists. Like in Deák tér it's a good spot to meet some groups and find out where they'll be going later.

For day game I can also recommend you Vörösmarty Tér. It's a big square full of cafés (including some of the most famous ones in the city, like café Gerbeaud). But most importantly, the square if visited by many hot girls because it's where some of the biggest stores in the city are located, like H&M, Zara and Pull & Bear.

You had no luck i guess. This is pretty common at these places.

Entropy4 was almost spot on,one of the clubs,Studio, is one of the biggest and well-known clubs in Europe, international dj-s play there frequently and draws a lot of foreign crowd too.
Other places like Bed beach,Dokk(bit younger cowd)Coronita or Club Pink are similar quality-wise(girls,service,ambient)just on the smaller side capacity-wise,also the music played there is different.Studio the biggest one, is more electro, trance on the other hand dokk, pink is more club, rnb, top 40.
Studio and Dokk have great Vip lounges too.
Occasionally there are also special events at these places, for example playboy parties, "truckers and ho's",bikini shows etc.
One event, the so called "white party" (people dressed only in white)is an especially hot chick magnet, up to 15-20 10s(!) at the place, however you will spot some mean, snobbish guys with some extreme cockblocking abilities too.

However it's hard to do well there since these girls have high demands,if you know what i mean,so scoring high quality is definetely not easy(where it is?).
Flat-out almost impossibel, language barrier also might be a problem,so chances drop like a rock if you can't handle it right and just fantasising about fucking hot girls which are in eye-reach might cause mental distress which often gives bad experiences to people.
All in all,never give up!

Hope this helpes.

Cheers!

Vikers, it was not a question of luck. I did not even bother to make an approach.

The women were by and large ugly, everybody looked miserable, nobody seemed to be having a good time.

Me and two friends were made to cue up just to get onto the island and then queue up again outside one club (Dokk). As it was an outdoor club you could clearly see the entire club from the queue and the club was 2 thirds empty and yet the bouncers were still making people wait in a queue outside just so that they could have a queue and look important which was fucking retarded.

Me and my friends got bored of waiting and queuing for no reason at all, gave up and went to several other bars on the island.

All of them had run out of cold beer.

Can you fucking believe that?! Not one bar that we found was able to serve a bottle of cold beer. Their excuse was it was a Saturday night and busy.

I dont care how busy you are, if you own a bar and are not capable of serving a cold beer then you are a retard.

I was handed piss lukewarm bottles of beer which they would try to charge me double the regular price for and when I sent them back and ordered something drinkable instead like a rum and coke the bartenders would either scowl at you or refuse to serve you.

Women were mostly ugly and looked miserable. The best looking women I saw all night was my friend's girlfriend and she was Serbian.

Everything about it was shit.

Your experience sounds a bit bizarre so there are some important questions open:

Is this the usual situation there?
Do they have never serve cold beer there?

I don't experienced that when i was there, shoots and beer were cold, and it was a couple times(lived there 3 months).

How many times were you there?
If once i don't think it's an exaggeration to speak of having an unlucky night there, since these type of awkwardness can happen in any club on a bad day,in particular on a Saturday night(however i never experienced that).

And speaking about the women, just one question:

How can observations be "SO" diefferent?

I mean, one is speaking of the hottest women he has ever seen in a club, and the other is speaking of mostly ugly women.

Is somebody swindling here or are we speaking of a pretty different taste in women?
If so, what are your preferences of hot women, because the original posts author has the following ones:

"Very skinny and a bit on the taller side. They all wear short skirts and heels."

Don't get me wrong, but following things logically yours must be the total opposit,if they were:

"Women were mostly ugly and looked miserable"

Or is somebody swindling?I dont think so.

I think we need some further explanation to be thoroughly enlightened if other guys on here want to visit the place.I think they all want to know what they might gonna go for...

how did y'all do on the language barriers. day gaming for bigger was horrible because I couldn't find English speakers. people in general did better with German.

I was lucky in finding a hot one to spend the weekend with, but even girl in Morrison's that approached me barely spoke English well enough for me to wanna continue conversations.

I guess that's the closest I got to somewhere like Ukraine where I would have absolutely no idea what they were saying

In my experience, quite safe. Chances that you get robbed gun/knife-point are very low. I'd go for strolls alone 4am and not even get worried.

The only times I can say I got more preoccupied were with gypsies and punks.

Punks usually hang out at Oktogon, sometimes in large numbers (I've seen them in groups as big as 25 people). They're usually harmless during the day and just want money or cigarrettes.

Gypsies may try to scam you or shame you into giving them money, chase you down the street and bother you until you give them something, grab you arms or body... I encountered them mainly in the vicinities of the Jewish neighbourhood and the Nyugati and Keleti train stations.

Here's what you should worry about in Budapest:
- Pickpockets
- Scams. It's very usual that restaurants charge you taxes and fees (which they only tell you about when you get the bill). Taxis do just about the same. And since their language is absolutely impossible to comprehend, scammers always use that in their favor, saying, for example, that their policy is shown in the menu for everyone to read (except that everything is in hungarian).

Hey, Laner,
How was your trip?

It was good overall. It was much different from when I was there in 1998 (when I was 18). It has a much more European feel to it now.

Although I cant say too many positive things about the Hungarian people. Sure i met some nice people, but with the majority of the people I just felt like they didn't want foreigners around.

My hotel was killer. It was mostly couples but the first two nights there were some cool people who were there for a Canadian/ Hungarian wedding. It was too bad that there was not more of a scene in the hotel as the set up was dope. They could do a much better job of attracting a higher class clientele.

The women were hit and miss. For the attractive ones it seemed they were either petite and curvy or tall and skinny. Some were really skinny, too skinny. I seen a few who were my type, but not as many as I would have seen in a place like Poland or Sweden. Too bad, as Budapest is a big city, I expected the numbers to be higher.

The prices were all over the place as well. Some things were quite cheap, and other things expensive. There did not seem to be much rhyme nor reason for it either.

Would I hit it up again? Maybe, but if I had to choose between a place like Wroclaw and Budapest I would choose Wroclaw. Poland still offers the best value in Europe in regards to return on investment.
