So if you're indian and looking like a typical indian, then be warned and I'd suggest you to skip Thailand as you'll face a lot of discrimination there.

This is true not just for Thailand. More often than not Indians are treated with some or lots of hostility around the world due to experience with precedent Indians. And I have personally observed behavior that would give a bad name to any race from Indians, so its no miracle that people in many places are wary of Indians.

But that does paint a very bleak picture, although I look far from a typical Indian, I was looking forward to going to Thailand since I have never been there.

Not that I am not planning on going anymore, but good to know that I may come across some differential treatment.

I went on the trip with the attitude that I will not get any attention from the Thai girls because I am brown and/or Indian. That is absolute BS! For guys who have been to BKK, they must have seen the name Jaspal in one of the malls. That family is from India and one of the richest in Thailand, you think that family is ill treated? There isn't just one rich Indian family in Thailand, there are quite a few! Westerners do not understand this because they have a very different class structure, I can differentiate between a shitty and a classy Indian just by looking at his writing style!

I would be interested to read the trip report when a brown guy like MiXX goes to BKK. If he does not get laid every day with a hot rich Thai girl then I will stop posting on this forum.

Yeah, brown guys can pretty much shapeshift into Arabs, Latinos, or Indians depending on the situation.

I plan to take full advantage of this when I learn Spanish and salsa.

But I have to ask you this, how do you spend most of your time in India and then spit game in Bangkok? How do you build up momentum?
My problem is that I need wings to get started after a long period of no approaching(Like this one month in India). Once I get a few days in then I'm good on my own and can keep it going.

You have practically answered the question yourself. If I go to BKK right now then it will take me at least a week (maybe more) to get comfortable with approaching and thats BKK, if this was Western Europe then it will take even more time. So, the only solution is to approach more. I don't see any other way. Also, I think you are being too hard on yourself, a bad approach is not a bad approach until you label it as one. As MiXX once said, "the only bad approach is the one that you don't make."

Your dependency on wings will go down with time. At first, I could not, literally could not walk into a bar or a nightclub on my own. Now, its not a big deal and since I have learnt that you can get better results by going solo I prefer to take that route.

I should have made that distinction on my previous post to give a more fairer picture of the situation. There are a lot of rich indians in BKK running businesses and those you will see them with stunning thai girls.

Well, the guy who posted the negative reports about Thailand wasn't some off the boat uneducated guy from India, but an Indian guy who was brought up in the US and appears to have travelled and gamed chicks quite extensively. So, there must be some truth to his report, just as there is to yours.

Not every upper middle class Indian guy looks like a Bollywood superstar. Maybe the average well educated Indian guy will have an experience somewhere in between what you and nomadicdude had.

You guys should read the book "Money number one". its sold in some bars in Thailand. Bar girls hate this book because it tells all the tricks they use. My travelling buddy in Indonesia lend it to me and it cracked me up so much. Wish i had a copy of it.

I did everything traveling by land visiting everything in between. Some people travel hardcore.

For sure, i will life like this if i had the budget for it, no doubt about it. Also i cant compare myself with guys who have a 4 week vacation of work. I would break the bank also. I did spent more when i was traveling with my Russian girlfriend but we split the bill on those expensive rooms.

I think you over-estimate the usefulness and power of money Neil. I did the whole budget/backpacker thing a few years ago and was in a similar situation as you... cheap hostel rooms, counting money to buy beers, not able to go to expensive clubs. I got laid pretty regularly too.

Now I'm doing pretty well financially and traveling much better, and strangely enough, it hasn't really affect my results much at all. I can't say I get laid any more for reasons directly relating to money. A few reasons indirect reasons sure help (nicer clothes, money for cabs, apartments in city center, etc.). But the only difference I notice now is that girls I bang are more apt to want to be my girlfriend than before. They usually want to stick around. Which is either good/bad depending on the girl.

Money's not an aphrodisiac. But it sure as shit can make a girl cling to you.

However, with all respect due man, if you're 35 and can barely afford your own drinks in Thailand and are sleeping in cheap hostels and where 20 bucks a night is "fucking expensive", then the only sound advice I or anyone can give you is take some time off from travel, make some cash, build a solid foundation for yourself, even building an online biz in the process to make your travelling sustainable. The last thing you want is to be 40, totally broke and having to go home, living with your parents and take on a job flipping burgers or sitting in a call centre. It ain't fun and that 's the kind of stuff that will make a guy want to commit suicide or kill others or some other stupid shit. So be wiser with your time man. Please don't take this the wrong way. I'm not trying to be condescending or arrogant or snobbish.

* In Asia i stayed in hotels only, but very cheap ones, i only stayed in hostels in very expensive place like Singapore. You can get a room in most South east Asian countries for between 3 and 12 dollar. I'm in South America now and have trouble finding a decent room under 10 dollars in countries like Bolivia and Peru, pisses me off because im running out of money fast. I'll have to resort to couch surfing in Brazil maybe.

When i return home will have spent around 50000 dollars just on traveling , that sounds like a lot but its not much because i have to make it last for 2 years and 8 months while traveling to 40something countries and going out a lot. When i have a girl in poor countries i have to pay for her also ( meals, not for sex or bullshit things), i have to take double rooms/two bed room when i stay with a girl, cost more also.

I will be broke as fuck when i return home, have to live with my parents for a while. I will focus on my website a lot and try to write a book about my adventures

The thing i wrote about not having money for drinks is wrong, i had expensive countries in mind when i wrote that, not Asia. My bad !
Even in "poor" countries like Peru a cocktail costs 5 to 7 dollars, so i dont like to spent that money on girls drinks.

Haha, not about to kill someone any time soon, i will focus on more travel or living cheap in the Philippines. I know the perfect place for that.
