My ex did something similar thinking it was funny. It was obvious what was happening so I put tape over the IR port and changed my WIFI password. It isn't difficult to outsmart a woman.

Unless they had an adjoining kitchen with shelves overlooking the living room, and even then the angle appears too extreme. If it was done on the fly then surely she would have taped her exploits putting the camera in place rather than setting it up and then hitting record.
