I love modern technology.
I tried using Google Translate throughout a date last year with a girl who spoke barely any English but it was too slow and obtrusive to be used seamlessly for a whole conversation.
There are some who will denounce this technology for meaning less people will learn a new language, but I see this facilitating new language learning instead by allowing temporary access to a culture/language/foreign women which may then later lead to learning the language.

Every year we hear that machine translation is just around the corner. Notice how it never arrives. It's one thing to translate news articles, a formulaic genre. And yes, there are situations where accuracy is not a top priority, for example, when you only need to get the gist of something. But translating authentic social conversation, with all its ambiguities, is an inherently difficult task. One of the main reasons is that meaning depends on context.
For kicks, I just opened Google Translate and typed the Spanish phrase 'me gusta nadar'. Google Translate returned the ungrammatical 'I like swim'. Next I tried 'te caigo bien', which came back as 'I like me' instead of 'you like me'. These are beginner errors. If Google, with all its resources, can't do better, be skeptical of rigged demos and press releases.

Like the others are saying, I think this is much further away from reach than it seems.
When using google translate with a Thai girl I was hanging out with, she kept saying it was incorrectly translating between Thai and English. Some of what google translate spit out was obviously way off and we were laughing at all sorts of double meanings and plays on words.
And we're not even factoring in variations of speech regarding speech recognition. Some speech recognition software can't even get the spoken words right, and talking about translation at this stage is putting the cart before the horse.

This, with chicks, has more downsides than upsides.
While it can be beneficial when trying to order something or to get information, using it in a pussy paradise with girls who can't speak English will strip rewards away from guys like me who actually worked for months full time to learn the language and get the chance to use it with girls. Just my 0.02
Despite being used as a way to get around some situations, I don't think it will be reliable enough to carry a conversation...

I'm more excited for this when they add some new languages. Sure if you learned Spanish or Italian or whatever good for you, an you will still have a great advantage over someone who doesn't speak the language.
However for some of us "nomads" we are moving to a new country every month or two.... there is noway we can be conversational in every language in every city we go. This will open a lot of doors for guys who travel very diversely and extensively. Also for guys who while exploring a new country want to head of the beaten path.
I think its rad.

I could see using this as a last resort in a language I am totally unfamiliar with a gorgeous woman I just couldn't resist gaming, but earning language and conversing with beautiful women in their native languages is so fulfilling that I wouldn't want to lose out on the experience of learning a foreign language given the opportunity. In addition, learning foreign languages is so beneficial to men both for mental health and well being as well as for the advantages that it infers in our personal as well as business lives. We are learning that technologies such as GPS and cell phones are actually reducing our brains capacity to perform certain functions. I think this technology could also be detrimental to our ability as well as our incentive to learn a foreign language. I am going to leave this app for females, after all learning a language takes hard work, dedication, focus and an inordinate amount of time for a small, mostly personal reward.
C'est la vie!

I don't think this is going to destroy pussy paradises. Chicks are not going to get off on having to need an earpiece and hearing Stephen Hawking in their ear constantly. How are you going to open chicks up on the street with this?
"Hey girl, can you put this in your ear please? Yes baby, it's brand new, clean, and not used"
I could see chicks actually turning down guys if it became too common. It will become an identifier of a visiting sex tourist.
Online? "Don't message me unless you can actually speak <language>! No translator apps!"
Walking around town? The vast majority of chicks don't want overt visual public tells that they are talking to a sex tourist. But everyone will notice the ear piece when you walk into a coffee shop or restaurant. People will also notice the delayed speech patterns.
This could be useful if you have intermediate languages skills (enough for basic conversation) and want to have more in-depth/complex conversations with a girl you are already banging. But guys with no language skills beyond a few phrases and words? I'm not worried.
I could also see this being VERY useful though for business dealings with foreign players as well.

Aside from the translation issues guys have pointed out earlier, another reason I don't see this device alone destroying "pussy paradises" is because most Western guys simply won't move abroad, no matter how bad it gets.
Also, attention-whoring technologies like Facebook and smart phones will destroy "pussy paradises" much quicker.

I think there is too much importance being placed on the spoken word in regards to attracting girls.
Being able to have slightly better, yet very awkward, spoken communication is not going to change the initial perception a girl has of you, not going to turn a hopeless dude who wasn't getting anything into don juan. If a guy isn't confident or attractive, doesn't project a reassuring masculinity, or simply can't game girls well, this device will not improve his success rate.
You still need everything else to attract her, and if you have everything else it is less likely that you need this- this awkward (though cool) gadget.
On the flip side, if you're thinking about a relationship, you'll still be wanting and needing to actually learn the language or her learn yours. You won't be sitting with these ear things.
This is not going to facilitate some sort of pussy paradise decline.
The chick in the video- She's still not going to bang him.

No need to worry about this destroying pussy paradise. This is simply another great tool for the redpill men.
Already, eating well, hitting the gym, being social, approaching women and learning game are all doable. Are every guy doing it? No. So not every guy is grabbing this and flies to FSU either. And those who do wont be able to game there if he couldn't game at home. He might just have an easier time, that's all.

If this works as good as it is advertised it could be a game changer. It's similar to steroid use at the gym, it's a short cut to achieving results. It's going to be a hit in thirsty countries like Australia where the men have high SMV and money but surrounded with 4's with attitude.
Im not saying the sky is falling but I will say not to underestimate the market. The world population is now 7 billion and there are a lot of wealthy men now than ever before.
I'm actually curious to see how awkward this will be in practice... Reminds me of when I first started online dating.
Keep me posted on this.

I wanna see someone actually use this. Going out in the street approaching girls, "hey girl, looking good, put this is in your ear, got a question for you." She's confused because she didn't understand shit what the crazy foreigner but still put that weird thing in her ear... and she hears a robot voice saying "¿Conoce alguna tienda de mascotas por aquí? Quiere comprar una nueva mascota." -- that's Spanish for "do you know any pet store around here? Wanna buy a new pet. "

^ And it will also take a few more years until it actually works properly, as in really transcribe long sentences well, and translate them in a manner that won't be grammatically defunct. Google for one definitely hasn't achieved that yet.
It may 'ruin pussy paradises' in 2025.
Right here right now, it will only ruin your game.
