So I've spent the last few days in Bucharest. The first night when I got here I was like WTF, there are some mega hot girls, at least compared to Bulgaria. But then the next day walking around I wasn't as impressed. It is definitely good, but it isn't a top five location like I thought it might be. And yeah, everyone seems to hang out in groups, not sure day game is really viable. I'm not going to bother going out here, as I'm not white and I've gotten a bad vibe a few times already so not gonna risk running solo in this crazy place as it seems like the bad 1% of the population is pretty fucking racist.

Get use to the vibe, bro. You are in Eastern Europe...comes with the territory. The level of overt racism in these regions are higher than usual.

From what I've heard, Bucharest is very nightlife oriented and that's when you see the mega hotties...walking around during the day may not bring out the best in the city.

Beirut, Lebanon is the best place I've ever seen. Not. Even. Close.

Other top places: Colombia, Vietnam, Mongolia (yeah, seriously), Thailand, Kazakhstan. Turkey was pretty good, at least Istanbul. Also, the Israeli girls in Thailand were off the hook. Romania is probably in the top ten in my book though.

Yeah dude, like 99 percent of Romanians seem okay and they've been nice to me but then there's the one percent that are just fucked up. Older ppl who never changed, or skin head fuckturds. My problem with rolling solo is that I just don't want to run into a group of neo-nazi fuckturds. I'm out of this place soon, to South America, so I'd rather just play it safe than play with fire. Last night I rolled through the nightlife area and it was good, but it didn't blow me away.

Dude, I was in Beirut over a year ago so can't really make a data sheet, but basically any time of day, you'll see amazingly hot girls. You need to go in the summer. It's fucking unbelievable. But that said, it's not an easy place to game or get anything. It's like going to the Ferrari dealership, you can look, but don't plan on buying.

For Israeli chicks in Thailand just go to the Full Moon Party in Koh Phangan. The best time is December and over NYE, but for the most part any month will have hot Israeli girls there as they fucking love Thaland.

Today, I was on a date with a girl (HB9) I closed in the street 2 days ago and a thick thug-looking guy just sat in front of us, 2 tables in front, and was blatantly staring at us. I stared back for a while but it didn't work. He was cockblocking. I just left with the girl, he was ruining the mood...

Tonight I got out of a restaurant with another date and walked on Blvd Magheru by the construction works on the sidewalks and 2 groups of about 6-7 drunk Romanian workers talked shit at me and my girl when we were passing by them (my date refused to translate )

Overall the people are depressed, depressing, controlling, paranoid, untrustful and quite weird

They don't look happy at all.

Service is at communist level. They never smile and they make you feel like you're disturbing them. It's not an easy place for traveling, I must say.

But I get a very good vibe from the girls (I'm quite exotic here and from the billboards and ads I see around here, they seem to like tall blond guys - because it's a rarity here, unlike Poland for instance). It's perfect for me because I really like petite brunettes.

I think Romanians are quite racist (99,99999% of the Romanians hate their gipsy communities, for instance) and I wouldn't like to (day) game here as a black dude. It just wouldn't seem to be well accepted socially. All the black guys I've seen here seem to be well-mannered middle-higher class exchange students form Africa, with a low profile.

Yet, I've never seen a neo-nazi looking guy in Bucharest. It's not Russia.

For me as a white dude, this place is much safer than France, the UK, the USA and many Western countries.

As far as game goes, as oldnemesis explained, nightlife is best with a wing or a group of friends.

But day game in the streets has worked fine for me.

I'd say about 70% of the very good looking girls don't want to speak with a foreigner and put me in the sex tourist category very fast. Their rejection is quite harsh then, and I must really control myself not to insult them...

The hard part for me is, as anywhere in the world actually, to find a spot for day game where a lot of hot babes are passing by and where social pressure is not too high on them to be seen speaking with a (gaming) foreigner. The big underground metro stations have been the best so far.

A last point about flaking: out of about 20 dates so far, I got 2 flakes (they warned me in advance). In Colombia, I was getting about 80% flakes... The more I think about Colombia, the more I think one gotta have a latino culture - like Mixx - to do really well there.

Dude, I bet you'll find that in every country in the world there is at least 1% of the population who is fucking racist. And the solution is fucking simple - hang out with the fucking 99% of the population! You're much more likely to get hit by some crazy driver, or got beaten by a stray dog in Bucharest than to get into any physical confrontation. What kind of risk are you talking about?

I would really, really love to get some details on Kazakhstan. Not very many people travel there...any input would be valued.

I couldn't disagree with this statement more. I'm a black guy and have been to Romania more than a handful of times. I've never had any problems at all in Romania. There are racist people everywhere but I have not experienced it at all in Romania. Yes, some of the people can appear to be cold but I've been well received and treated well everywhere. It's not that long ago that Romania transitioned from a Communist to a Capitalist system and there have been and still are transition pains. Very few people will be impressed that you are a foreigner.

You are correct in that they gypsies/roma are universally despised, but that doesn't carry over to others.

Don't expect easy pick-ups, you'll have to do a little work.

Luckystar and I have experienced mild hate from the staff of places where we run game here in Poznan. This sort of thing can happen anywhere so I don't think it's reason enough to not visit a country.

He was not a skinhead (although I don't think I would have particular problems with a racist/skinhead since I'm white). I've never seen a skinhead in Romania. Where I've seen most skinheads/nazies is in Hollywood movies.

I think you just need to realise that people in countries like Romania and the surrounding Eastern European and Balkan countries are generally cold and unfriendly on the surface anyway. Service is always terrible, people are often rude. It's just how it is and might not have anything to do with you not being white.

Going to the full moon parties of Thailand means you also need to put up with horrible groups of drunken aussies & english too. And these Israeli girls always travel around looking a fucking mess, they might be good looking girls but when traelling they dress atrociously wearing fisherman pants, baggy clothes, head bands, braids and dreads in their hair, sandals on. Ok the Full Moon is a beach party so it's forgiveable there but they continue to wear it everwhere they travel even when going out to clubs in big cities.

Like I said, never had any negative experience and have been well received. If a black guy wants to go to Romania, I say go for it and don't worry about being treated any differently.

Not commenting on the level of racism in Romania, but a comment on racism in 2011.

In my opinion, racism towards black people is no longer the barometer for racism anymore...I think the highest and most prominent contempt has shifted towards muslim looking people (arabs and turks in particular).

Honestly, girls make a difference between African Americans and other in Brazil for instance but in Romania, they are not used to black guys enough to make a difference in my opinion.

Besides, from what I've seen, the African immigrants in Romania are not the poor uneducated ones (that you will find in Western Europe), but the middle class who comes to study in universities.
