Generally, no to the first question. There is a staircase from the restaurant to the lounge upstairs that's monitored very closely and there are usually bouncers there as well.

The second one is entirely possible, and you may only need as few as 2 or 3 girls. Depends on the night as well. Weekends will demand more, and weeknights might be less.

One thing you might try has been mentioned here before, I think by thedude3737. You eat at the restaurant, ask to speak to a manager and shoot the breeze with him. Tell him you're in town on business and would like to show a client a nice time and ask for his suggestions on whether you can get upstairs just for a night or something (something along those lines). Never tried this at Paris myself, but I can see it working since the guys that run that place are businessmen, and word of mouth is the best way to spread their business.

Summertime, I would add rooftops in there...Vertigo Skylounge at the Dana Hotel, the Roof at the Wit Hotel, Drumbar at the Rafaello Hotel, Trump Terrace at the Trump.

As far as Studio Paris goes, I agree with at350 and going the restaurant/manager route if you are by yourself. It is an extremely tough door. Having girls with you does NOT guarantee you'll get in if it is a busy night, which will probably be the case. I've showed up with four girls before and no dice because we didn't have a table. I have been inside twice, once because it was kind of a slow night table wise and they let my friend and i buy just one bottle for like $300 so we did that. The second time i got in i met a group at a rooftop lounge (one guy and six girls) and they got us all in because they had a table. The earlier you get there and talk to the manager the better.

This is also another good reason why I blow good money on good restaurant. Even the guys in the bar at such places are connected. Why pay $$$ at the door to some club when a good word and a phone call works just as well. Granted, you need to be able to project style.

I'll throw some data out there but keep in mind its a big city with countless restaurants so I'm sure the other Chicago guys can add to this since everyone has their own opinions...

"High-End"

1. Pump Room restaurant area---grab a bite+drink in the restaurant area

2. Pump Room lounge---after the restaurant go post-up at the bar in the lounge area. There are two small lounge areas, you can get a drink in one and walk across to the other. Women will be sitting on couches/tables and standing around the bar area. I like to hang by the bar for a sec, sip on my drink, scope out the talent and then make my move. Pump room has women of all ages. Like I've said before its a very chill and relaxed environment, perfect venue to start the night. NO COVER

3. The Roof at the Wit-after Pump Room make your way over to this nice rooftop for a drink or two. There will be women inside and outside. I usually go to the outside bar, order a drink there and scope out the talent. $20 COVER (at least there was last time i went)

4. Studio Paris--has been covered already. Best talent in the city. NO COVER...very rough door

4. Underground--some of the best talent in the city behind Studio Paris. Underground also has a very tough door if you get there later, which you will since its a 4am or 5am. Ideally you want to try and meet a couple girls from the earlier spots mentioned and bring them with you to Underground. There will be a large crowd around the bouncers out front. If you don't have girls with you then try and quickly talk up a few while they are standing around trying to get in. Another method i used is wait for a cab to pull up with a group of girls and approach them immediately as they are walking towards the venue and see if you can join their group. $20 COVER (usually )This is the end of your night.

Also check out Cuvee on a seperate night, its a 4-5am..

This step-by-step will require you taking cabs, definitely not walkable.

Couple things: If you don't get into Studio Paris then just head over to Underground. If you go with the Paris Club restaurant/talk to managers idea then your step-by-step changes to:

1. Paris Club-food
2. Studio Paris-lounge
3. Underground

Other rooftops to throw in for other nights:

Vertigo Skylounge at the Dana Hotel
The Terrace at the Trump
Drumbar at the Rafaello Hotel
ZED451 Rooftop
Epic Lounge Rooftop

RPM-solid restaurant with a good crowd, you can also start the night there with food and a drink...

Lot of combinations for a step-by-step, any other questions just ask...

For the guys who are looking for a more bar-oriented night heres some quick info:

The majority of the places you want to hit are downtown, more specifically in the River North area...

Moe's Cantina and John Barleycorn are located NEXT DOOR to each other. Can't ask for a better setup than that. I usually run into Moe's, try and grab a couple numbers and then bounce over to Barleycorn and do the same. After Barleycorn its a five minute walk over to Mercer 113 and you have Epic lounge ACROSS THE STREET. Again, perfect setup. Close your night out at Social 25(five minute walk from Mercer/Epic) where things get pretty sloppy, but just focus on closing girls and don't mind the drunk fratboys.

Other bars in the area that are walking distance from each other:

The Kerryman
Rockit
Public House
English

If you're smart you can hit 5-6 venues in one night and really pile up the numbers+close at a late night...good luck hope this helps.

It's a decent crowd, have to get in early to avoid the line (or eat dinner there), and I just like the experience because it starts out with people having dinner and a live band, then switches to a dance floor, sometimes a burlesque dancer, 80s music, then switches to more modern dance music, also has a cool little "whiskey room / library" in another spot with some booths with low lighting you can pull girls to and make out, etc.

Looks like Project Chicago is going to hit Epic tomorrow night, which will be my first time to check it out.

I was at Rockits recently and it's more of a college bar vibe which is not what you're looking for.

The warmest day of the year so far brought hundreds of teens to Michigan Avenue on Saturday. Police were calling it “mob action.”
CBS 2 has learned about multiple incidents in at least four different locations along the Magnificent Mile and in the Gold Coast, yielding a slew of arrests. In all, 25 juveniles and three adults were charged. Many innocent shoppers and tourists became caught in the middle of a very chaotic situation. Hundreds of teens littered Michigan Avenue and State Street near Chicago.

Things started turn bad around 6:00 p.m. Saturday, with teens purposely bumping into people, and causing fights among themselves.
Fifteen juveniles and two adults were arrested and charged with misdemeanor reckless conduct in connection with the incidents on Michigan Avenue.
Community activist Andrew Holmes witnessed some of the problems, while shopping with his family.
“You had a group of teens, close to maybe 500. They assaulted a Chicago police officer that was mounted on a horse and all of a sudden they assaulted a citizen walking the streets, just a normal citizen shopping and enjoying the weather,” said Holmes. Later that night, a man was attacked around 10:45 p.m. while walking near Chicago and Dearborn. Sources said he was jumped and punched in the face by a group of teens. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

In a separate incident, a group of women said they were attacked by a mob of girls on the CTA Red Line. The women reported a robbery once they got off the train at the State and Monroe station. Eleven females were arrested—10 juveniles and one adult—and charged with battery. Two of the teens also were charged with strong-armed robbery.

“I caution those parents if their child has been arrested which numerous teenagers have been arrested tonight, that you need to think about your child. Just don’t say the Chicago police picked on your child, when we were watching all the assault going on, especially by teen women,” said Holmes.

A total of 28 arrests were made last night surrounding downtown disturbances involving teens. Of those arrests, 25 were juveniles.
Charges range from battery and strong-armed robbery to reckless conduct.
