How much does a decent apartment run in major Indian cities? Can one eat for cheaply without shitting out all of their internal organs?

Well to be honest if you're getting cock blocked by the guys then you haven't hit the right demographic yet. As a personal anecdote my extended social circle has a girl dating a Spaniard and a guy dating a American expat. No one really cares and this group I am talking about is not a parallel to something like 'Rich kids of Tehran'. They are simply normal people.
In dating patterns here the family will never know regardless of the other person being Indian or otherwise until it gets really serious i.e on the verge of engagement.
I'm trying to put myself in a foreigners shoes though and I think as a foreigner you'd really have to have an edge. You won't be competing against stereotypical Raj from Big Bang but guys who 'get it'.

A decent condo with associated facilities like Swimming pool, Gym etc should be Rs 30,000 per month in a city like Bangalore. Rs 40,000 in New Delhi. Mumbai is out of question, just forget it. Pune and similar cities will be slightly cheaper. Pune is a great place btw.
Cuisine options are plenty. The cuisine India has exported is mostly North Indian with Mughlai influences. That barely scratches the surface of Indian cuisine so if spice isn't your thing you can always eat the coconut based food from the South etc.

I posted something similiar in another thread but am going to add it here as well since I want to offer some additional perspective on India, specifically Mumbai. I had decent success there using Tinder.
Here was my recipe:
Get an awesome penthouse apartment in Bandra West through AirBnB.
Swipe like a madman on Tinder. Matches were plentiful.
Go out on dates at a Cafe Coffee Day (local chain), for a walk on one of the seaside promenades, or go to Bonobo, a chill bar in Bandra.
In two weeks this netted me dates with 5 different girls, and I had more on the hook I could have gone out with. I slept with two of them, both of the first date, and one of whom was a model. I also probably could have banged two more but got unlucky because both had to go out of town.
Personality wise I found most of them to be very charming and not into head games, though the model's personality kind of sucked. The other one I banged was extremely chill and we spent lots of time smoking hash and relaxing together.
Your mileage may vary, but I thought Mumbai was a great place to visit for a short period of time and meet beautiful Indian women who are willing to get down with Westerners. Oh, but be prepared to shit a lot.
