This might seriously ruin my video game i'm in the process of making.

Ghost Recond Wildlands was awesome and has one of the largest and prettiest open worlds ever in game, and they've just announced Ghost Recon Breakpoint, fortunately open world again and releasing in October.

I was a bit underwhelmed with the following gameplay segment, but that was also the case with alpha stage Wildlands footage.

Sam Fisher - with original voice actor Michael Ironside - made a DLC appearance in Wildlands (though I've still yet to finish the main game), which obviously caused speculation that a new Splinter Cell might be coming.

No one mention the PC release of Yakuza Kiwami 2? I'm disappointed.

Sega's just been making the same Yakuza game over and over again for literally over a decade now.

The story and engine haven't been updated since George Bush was still president. It's fun the first few times, but after a few you realize you're just playing the same game over and over.

The end of that first video is such a punchline.

"Erm a gerst toooo and I erkspek nerthing lerse."

I don't know if I'm the only one who cringes this hard when I see actors in video games (other than outright comedy like Saints Row). Particularly when they're piggybacking a role off of a previous movie/tv-series character.

The second video was a little bit ambitious but I like the idea of them doing a sweep and clear on Apple's new iTank manufacturing HQ in Colombia. I wasn't going to mention the annoying new girl-power bullshit until she picked up the enormous black dude on her team along with all his gear and literally wore him like a scarf for 50 feet.

Given how scripted the sequence is I find it hard to believe the devs didn't specifically include that retarded shit for its own sake.

The public will judge a man by what he lifts, but those close to him will judge him by what he carries.

Doesn't bother me at all. Jon Bernthal was awesome as The Punisher, so I definitely don't fault him or Ubisoft for casting him in this game as one of the main villains, even if it's as another military hard ass with a gravely voice.
I kind of prefer typecasting of action movie/TV actors - there was a while in the early 00s where it felt like most of the old action stars were gone or working a lot less, and there were no steady replacements rather than just actors with broader range jumping in for the occasional action role.

The latest Wildlands update introduced his Ghost Recon character, though I haven't checked that mission out since I'm still far from the end of the main game story - 40+ hours in and I've spent more time sightseeing and sniping random bad guys than doing actual story missions.

But the trailer for Breakpoint is obviously highly scripted and using pre-rendered CGI footage rather than in-engine footage. I just want a good game. So far it all sounds and looks promising to me, except for them cutting out the AI team mates, so solo play is now solo plus drones for sync shot (and maybe combat engagement, don't know yet).
I like the AI team in Wildlands. They are immersion breaking in that the enemy pretty much can't see them at all if you're sneaking, but they never get in the way, the sync shot sniping feature is awesome (sounds like that will be retained with the multiple drones in Wildlands though), and if given active fire order they are quite effective in assault skirmishes, at least on normal difficulty (haven't tried higher).

STOP SIT THE FUCK DOWN AND DRINK YOUR GODDAMN TEA, IM ONLY SEEING THIS TODAY, I BRING GOOD TIDINGS GENTLEMEN.

I had to do a double take, I didn't expect anything until E3 in June, Its gorgeous they slightly westernized the characters faces and didnt make them overly stylized animish like all the previous reinterpretations and the interactions are the opposite of cringe. It's exactly like what I imagined it to be in young Syberpunk's imagination. The voice acting is just...blows french kisses, Barrett sounds like Robert Downey Junior from Tropic Thunder. Or Mr.T from the A Team. It's glorious.

Thank the Lord jesus, Square might finally be getting its act together on the FF side of things.

There's even talk about releasing it this year as they've working on it in complete radio silence for years.

Its probably going to be fun, but I loved the turn based mindless button presses. Bravely Defaults automated system would have been perfect for the remake.

I agree with OP.

Even though this thread was made 8 years ago, video games has been incredibly time consuming and killed my chances in the past at running game or improving my lifestyle. I've pretty much ditched video games, with the exception of Dead by Daylight.

Fucking love Dead by Daylight.

Being a Doom fan, I thought I would download (torrent) Rage 2. I haven't purchased a game from a Western developer in years cause they are made by corrupted Leftists corporations! If I play a game today, I always check that the developer is from a non Western country hence you get normal characters.

You start off from choosing a male or female solider in a weapon supply room. I thought at least, if I choose a male, hopefully you don't have to deal with any broken women (female soldiers). Next, I'm looking around the room and you hear her ordering you in a passive aggressive manner to grab a weapon. I just ignore her of course but then she starts getting angry so I grab a weapon to shut her up. I thought to myself, ok, I leave the room and I won't have to see this broken woman again... but you end up fighting next to another woman (Lily) and she talks to you in a tough passive aggressive manner like the first. Lily looks like a young dyke with short hair of course! If I was near a broken woman like this in real life, I would avoid her without a second thought!

Next, I kill some mobs and she says in a tough tone "it's going to be hard to keep score." As if a woman can out score a man, for fuck sake!!! The male character of course is a beta male (replies with a soft tone of voice) where after 10 minutes of hearing this dyke talk and yell at you (in a muscular tone), I deleted the game!

Who the fuck in a war game wants to be fighting along a woman that we all know can NEVER hold up to a man physically and mentally. The game would had been great like most movies/game today if they don't dump the gay characters (muscular woman, feminine man). If it was a woman, make her fucking feminine (normal woman) for fuck sake!! Games like CS and Team Fortress are still around after 20 years cause these no female characters!

I look at this as a good thing cause since TV/games have turned gay and PC, I have done so much more in life compare to wasting it in front of a fucking screen!

Only 5.5 on Metrecritic.com. Looks like I'm not the only person that hates the characters and story line from reading the reviews.

They just terminated my youtube account just now after I copied the above to the top 5 'Rage 2' youtube videos! lol

Youtube never did anything in the past. I've always put my thoughts to Youtube in the past for over 10 years now but this is the second time this year they terminated my account!

They are seriously locking us down. I suggest everyone backup their favourites/playlists on Youtube!

I hope Trump does something about this shit!

Damn. Better exercise and eat right if you want to play that game. It's only for people 81+ years old.

It looks very uninspired. Reportedly the combat is excellent but the game world bland and barren. Which is a shame considering it's the same developer (well, a collaboration between ID and Avalanche if I've understood it correctly) that did Mad Max and the Just Cause games, which while not game of the year material mostly had very fun and large game worlds.

Do people here buy physical or digital when it comes to consoles?

I used to be physical, but back then (even 10 years ago) they had instruction manuals and the like included, you now just a generic blu ray case with a measley leaflet. Some of these digital sales are insane value for money...

I know one of the arguments against digital is you never own it and the servers will disappear, but the game is completely and entirely loaded to the console hard drive anyway and the physical disc is just the key to unlock it to play..... that was a revelation, I assumed they were off loading some data so that it was more quickly accessible from the hard drive.

And in 10 years the disc will still be lacking up the updates/glitch fixes, if the servers shut for any particular game.
I bought a game digitally, it all arrived up updated to the nth in one package, so convenient.

With physical (anything), they can't rewrite history with updates.

I have a couple old digital games on my 3DS.

With a select few exceptions (and by that I mean probably fewer than five games) I haven't bought physical since the first half of the PS3 lifespan, so only digital for about ten years on PS3 and PS4, plus Steam back when I still had gaming PCs.

I guess you can sometimes find new releases cheaper if you buy physical, but the PS Store always - and I mean always - have plenty of great sales, and I think the same is still the case for Steam, and I'm sure the XBox store as well.

I've had fast internet connections (100 Mbit for the last five years) with no download restrictions for years, so it really doesn't matter if I have to wait a couple of hours for a modern 40-50 GB game to download.

The mainstream media attacks Ghost Recon in advance because they fear that it will suffer from too little wokeness.

Got it.

Division 2 - little politics - financial success and liked by gamers - disliked by media.
Battlefield 5 - lots of wokeness - financial disaster relative to budget/marketing - disliked by gamers - loved by soy-media.

As most guys believe - those games should be enjoyable by anyone regardless of political views and opinions, but no.... everything has to be propaganda.
