You give girls a lot of credit. Girls have a 24/7 umbilical cord to their friends via their phone and texting. Talking to a stranger, by comparison, is much more nerve-wracking.

I think before, girls just sucked it up and proceeded to try and have a decent conversation. Now they just blame the guy and think HE is awkward, when it could be entirely or partly her fault too. Plus, they're pussies. If someone says something that makes them uncomfortable, they attack him as a loser - "awkward." If you say it with cocky humor though, they'll usually just feel shitty about themselves instead.
