When in Vegas
If you come to Vegas and have a solid routine, know exactly what you want to do here, or know the ins and outs of the city, feel free to skip this part.
Take stock of your crew and what you guys want to do beforehand. You don't have to find out every single venue and performer for your vacation--that's your promoter or host's job, remember? All you need is at least an outline of what you guys want to do. It's our job to sort the details. "Oh, you're hip hop fans? Great, I have a better idea of what places you'll like." Stuff like that.
If you've been guestlisted, send a text to your promoter once you're inside. "Sup dood, were in thx looozzlzlzlzooooz!" Hell, send a photo of your crew too, that's even better. Texts like these are like a receipt to a promoter. So even if a host poaches the group, there's evidence.
Communication. Be responsive. Your promoter will have memorized or looked up venue options for you. The faster you reply, the faster you're guestlisted.
If it's you and 12 guys, please. Please. PleasePleasePlease. Please don't get mad about getting eye-rolled after you ask "Will we get in free if we're on the guest list?" Expect to pay full cover if you run up with a wolf pack. At best, you may get reduced cover via guest list.
Remember even ratios? If you get some girls to roll up with you, you'll get in free. Since this is RVF, most guys should be comfortable approaching. It's so fucking easy in Vegas, everyone's there to have a good time.
Just find a few dimes from your hotel and let them know "Hey, we got a party at X club where Y artist is performing. Come with us and you'll skip the line and cover."
This is nice at pool parties or while daygaming. Try hitting up girls who are checking in during the day, since they'll have less contact with promoters.
Like so
Guest list entry is from when the club opens to...usually 1am. For a top tier club expect guest lists to close at 12. Or even earlier, it just depends. After guest list entry is over, you're gonna pay full cover! Unless you know someone, of course.
If you're planning to party hard with your crew at a club, bottle service is the way to go. No waiting in lines, walking back and forth, tipping bartenders or whatever. McQueen is your go-to guy for VIP bottle hosts.
Oh yeah, and dress sharp. This is Vegas, not Zanesville.
