Anybody want to meet up during this time?

Also would you guys recommend staying in Bela Vista or Morumbi? Leaning towards Morumbi. Dates are May 20th-May 25th, 2014. Thx!

I'll probably be here, hit me up.

As for location: are you going to rent a car? Are you ok paying for many cab rides?

Bela Vista is close to Paulista, downtown, easy subway and bus, day game spots. There's some bums around and it's not particularly nice, but GREAT logistically.

Morumbi is a nouveau riche neighbourhood, right next to (and around) some of the most dangerous favelas in SP. Not a safe neighbourhood. It's far from the clubs and a nightmare to get in and out (few main avenues, constantly with heavy car traffic). Not much walking around, it's more of a car-culture neighbourhood. Public transportation sucks. Maybe you could have an impressive spot in Morumbi, but logistically it's bad.

Also, is Shopping Morumbi a good place to game? I once had a friend traveling to Sampa for business who raved about the talent there.

Jardins = more $$, best location, beautiful, safe, full of rich hot girls. 10/10

Bela Vista = depends on where you stay. Close to Paulista it's interm. $$, great location, not as beautiful, some bums and crackheads, great logistics. 8/10

Brooklin = depends on where you stay. Usually interm.-lower $$, further away from downtown and Paulista, closer to clubs in Vila Olímpia, not as accessible, depending on where you stay it can vary from nice streets with trees and family homes or tall buildings with offices and apts.

Yes, it's a good spot. Middle class to upper class girls, most of them speak english. Right across the street there's another large mall called Market Place. Both have large shops crowded with girls, such as Zara and the goldmine Topshop. For more intellectual girls, go to Livraria Cultura, huge bookshop in Market Place.

Unfortunately..the place I reserved was accidentally rented out to somebody else....[Image: dodgy.gif]

Looks like I'm going to go with Option A on this map now, which is 10 minutes walking distance to Parque Ibirapuera. Option B is cheaper, but it looks farther out from Centro, etc.

Any input would be great -

Also looking at that map..how much would a cab cost from Aeroporto Congonhas to Parque Ibirapuera?

I know I'll be arriving into Congonhas from an unspecified Brazilian city.....

Option B is not bad if you want to be close to the clubs at Vila Olimpia.

Option A has more options of bars/lounges you could take a date to, and then bounce her back to your place. Likely more day game spots too.

It depends on what kind of game you're intending to run here (day game, club game, bar game, online game, etc.).

A cab from Congonhas to Ibirapuera should cost you between BRL 15-20. By the way, I advise you to avoid the official taxi line at Congonhas (on the sub-floor, waiting times can be insanely long) and pick up one that is dropping passengers on the upper floor, next to the check-in terminals. Taxi drivers can be fined for that, but most don't give a fuck.

It cost me R$28 (on a meter) to go from the taxi stand at Congonhas to the bike rental at Parque Ibirapuera, with luggage. At the airport they quoted me R$35-40.

Jardins and Itaim Bibi are the 2 best regions for you to stay. It's close to all the bars and clubs.

To be more specific, check these 2 places (or the nearby options):

- Itaim Bibi: TRYP Jesuíno Arruda Meliá - Rua Jesuíno Arruda, 806
- Jardins: Etoile George V Jardins - Rua José Maria Lisboa, 1000

Itaim is better in my opinion because you can do more stuff in a walk-distance. Jardins you may need to cab sometimes.

Entertainment:

- Posh lounges: Chez Oscar, Bagatelle, Panorama
- Daytime bars: Mercearia São Roque (Amauri), São Bento (Vila Madalena), La Villete (Villa Boim)
- Night game: Villa Mix (fridays), Woods (wednesdays), Provocateur (thursdays), Royal (tuesdays), Casa 92 (saturdays), Aurora (sundays)

Let me know when you here bro! I live in Itaim Bibi.

Oi Cartola,

As dicas sao...."sick!!!" rsrsrs

Thanks thanks. I decided to stay in Jardins because I wanted to try one night in Vila Madalena not to mention this is a vacation for me where I want to go out & take many pictures too. Lame I know...but I felt my locations in Jardins being a 10 minute walk from the Metro would give me access to many other cool neighborhoods for sightseeing.

A) Rua Oscar Freire B) Parque Ibirapuera C) Avenida Paulista D) Ponte Octavio Frias de Oliveira E) Mercado Municipal
F) Vila Madalena, G) Liberdade, H) Arena Corinthians (World Cup site) I) Brooklin, J) Itaim Bibi, K) Bela Vista/Mooca (Italiano food good here?) L) Morumbi Shopping

Anything worth seeing in Vila Zelina by chance? This should be a fun trip. Thanks so much for those nightlife options. Will check em out on the internet, youtube, facebook!

Btw...I try to avoid Sertanejo places bc not a fan lol.. Samba variety bands, lounges, and house music are more my thing. Ur a savior!

Sertanejo is easier to pickup girls but if you like House music you should definitely try D-Edge on Thursday (don't go another day), it's the best club in Latin America for awesome house music (prog/tech/minimal).

Yeah, I forgot about the Subway information (I'm too used to taxis here). From Jardins you can move easier with public transport (buses sucks).

D) The bridge may be more interesting by Google Images than in person itself, but if you want to take pictures it may be interesting.

K) Mooca is way too far, Bela Vista is good enough (Bexiga to be more specific). Rua Avanhandava is a really cool place for italian restaurants too (and may be the coolest street in SP in my opinion).

L) Why Morumbi Shopping? I think there are better options closer to you, like Iguatemi, or JK. The most well-decorated mall is Cidade Jardim (it's worth seeing its gardens - very fancy place with super hot rich girls walking around).

I don't see anything interesting in Vila Zelina to be honest, it's just a neighbourhood far away from the city. "Liberdade", our Chinatown, may be way more interesting (and closer). [Image: smile.gif]

Have fun bro!

Thx homie!

I've pulled in sertanejo before....but the music/dancing gets to me lol.

Which place has hotter chicks on Thursday? D-Edge or Provocateur?

Is there a VIP section in Royal on Tuesdays that might have hotter chicks? (Just asking bc some weekday venues I've been to in the past having more favorable ratios on weekdays in specific VIP areas). Thx! Brigadao!

Vai Vai is not a club, it's a samba school and rehearsals are over now.
The Week is a gay club I think.
Mynt lounge is closed.
Skye bar is not crowded and very touristy, must see though.

What O Cartola said in this post makes the best sense (so it seems) with regards to clubbing - http://www.rooshvforum.network/thread-34597-...#pid715335

Those are great options too (clash, lyons), more "alternative" though. The funny thing about São Paulo is that any of these clubs you go there will be plenty of woman for you, trust me!

The city is just too big, so several different options are necessary. And this is Brazil, so yep, there's a lot of women here.

Pubs are good to pick up girls too: Kiaora (Tuesday or Thursday) and O'Malley's (not sure when). Caribbean on Fridays is full of ninfetas (17 with fake ID's).

PS: The Week is a gay club, stay out of it (I wouldn't go even in their "straight" nights - there are way better options).

Lions used to be cool but it's mostly gay these days. As in just gay dudes, and very few girls. I wouldn't go there.

Clash was good some five years ago, have no idea these days, probably not.

Bubu is (was?) gay.

Mookai and Mynt closed down a couple years ago. Actually, Mookai was replaced by a sertanejo club called Outlaws.

The pubs are a good tip. There are always some DTF women at Kia Ora. They are a bit older though (late twenties, early thirties). Bonus points if you're a western gringo.
