I'm not a big fan of this one in all honesty. I like to use datasheets to research good cities to visit, and having to purchase a package of sheets before even knowing that I'll be going to a place seems impractical. Have you thought about allowing free access to archived data sheets for members who have a certain number of rep points or have posted datasheets themselves?

Also, if I post a datasheet, can I request that it remain publicly available or will all datasheets on the forum be going behind a paywall regardless of the wishes of the author?

Maybe there's a way to make it so that users can't select those smilies? Then they won't accidentally use them.

Also, since locations evolve and change overtime, does it make sense to lock the data sheets? I know that a date sheet on NYC from just a year ago would probably not be totally accurate or up to date at this time.

I have gained a lot from this forum, and would be disappointed to be banned. However there are a few things that I would like to seek clarification on:

To my knowledge, no one has met you; no one has met me either, or a bunch of the repped members, and you have certainly dropped a lot of knowledge- but it does factor into discussions. You say that Roosh has been arrested and are very vague about what has happened, no one is able to disprove or corroborate your story.
You then describe Roosh as 'former chief' of the forum. Have you already supplanted him? Furthermore, within a few hours of his alleged arrest, you announce a raft of changes for the forum that go against what Roosh wanted for the forum. Instead of announcing how we can help Roosh, you've unveiled a bunch of rules about how we will be paying you from now on- even to access data sheets which you didn't produce. Also, whats with this new emphasis on not questioning what has happened to Roosh. I am worried about him and want to help, but I don't think that censorship is the answer- why promote what we so often rally against?

Perhaps I will be banned for this post. Once again I reiterate that I will regret it if that does happen, but I do seek an explanation and a dialogue being opened, not closed.

I may be a newbie on this forums, but I feel obligated to input something very important after reading these 2 particular changes.

You will be single handedly destroying RVF.

The reason is simple, an internet forum is expected to be a free service, I cannot think of a single instance in where I have remotely considered spending a dime on a forum for any reason whatsoever. All you will be achieving is deterring new users from registering and of course, adding valuable content to the site.

Moreover, said potential users will remain lurkers, which in turn will add to bandwidth costs with no benefit for the site, unless you decide to implement ads (which is a viable option).

From a business standpoint, I hope you reconsider these changes and come up with a different way of gaining revenue, my suggestion would implement a PayPal donation address for those who can afford to contribute.

It seems as if all of the proposed rule changes are just ways to monetize the forum. Has it become that expensive to run/moderate that this change is necessary? Some clarification would be appreciated before the vast majority of us have to put up money.

I probably was a little paranoid- if this was a troll nicely done haha. Also, this whole debacle has made me realise I should buy a gold membership just to support the forum.

The hosting for this forum is not free. The time Tuth, Roosh, and other mods invest keeping this forum running and keeping trolls and other lamers out of the forum is not free. You sound like a whiny entitled feminist thinking we should give it all away to you for free.
