On Nut is great for living. I had a studio, 7,5k and everything else included. The Condo was full of hot hookers living there and making money at night, but also full of scum westerners.

Get any freebies from the girls who lived there? My condo has almost no hot girls. And if there are, I never see them. Place is like a ghost town.

That one time, I came back from Cambodia at night. The key I thought was the key for my room was actually the key from the dorm in Pnomh Penh, so I had left the key for my room in Bangkok there and could not get into my room. After I could explain to the (awesome) guard what had happened, one of the hookers came downstairs, ready to go to work. The guard talked to her as well, and she asked me again, in perfect english, what had happened. She offered me to stay in her room until she came home.
You must know that I would gladly have accepted her offer normally. But 1) I didn't know how to react to this kind of offer, also because 2) My libido is at 0 and my sexual anxiety is at 9000 since quite some time, but this will be topic of a personal thread. Nevertheless as you can see, these girls are very friendly and you surely can get freebies of any kind.

Regarding drugs: I know a small bar in a hip area that sells cheap and decent weed (an ounce for 500). Will direct you via PM as a service to the forum. Bought 3 times without any problems.

And as the OP said: dont even think about buying from ppl who offer it to you first, or on khao san road.
Not worth the risk. Even though the risk in buying some weed is not an immediate execution on the spot as some impressionable people think. More like donating a couple thousand bucks to the retired thai policemen pension fund.

Koreans are by far the easiest nationality to spot I've ever seen. You'll notice a girl walking a block in front of you is Korean before you know she's Asian.

Not see any Japanese girls yet.

The masses of Japanese girls seem to have a vary narrow range of travel destinations. When talking about places she's traveled, if she's been abroad at all, odds are it's either Guam, Korea, Hawaii, maybe Shanghai/Hongkong and MAYBE Taiwan. Some girls have also studied abroad in Australia, Canada or America. Other than those, I rarely hear any other names.

I've always wondered about the Japanese in Hawaii. I've never been to Hawaii but it looks like paradise, and if there's an influx of sexy Japanese tourists, all the better.

Thanks for the data sheet. I'll be in Bangkok this weekend, before heading down to Krabi on Monday. I'm looking at the hotels listen on this page- http://afarangabroad.com/hotels-in-bangkok. Are these hotels in any of the areas being blocked off by political protests? I haven't been following much, but I hear that lots of areas are inaccessible. Are there any particular areas that should be avoided in BKK right now?

What's the deal with the protests? I got a couple of friends that are heading over there on March/April so I'm wondering if anyone is on the ground there that'll know what's up.

Good stuff. Thanks for pointing that out, because I would have booked at Le Fenix. Just booked a room at MM Fusion Sukhumvit. I forgot how cheap everything is in Thailand.

Also, if any of the players in Bangkok want to meet up this weekend and check out some of the clubs, let me know. I'll be in BKK on Friday, leaving on Monday.

Well Thailand just went into "state of emergency". Probably doesn't mean a whole lot, as the media loves to spice everything up. Most of my friends they are living life as usual. I would just suggest staying out of the protests zones though, have heard a few stories of home made bombs going off here and their.

Should be fine in on nut though.

I've posted this so many times I feel like a broken record, but the Khao San area is underrated. There are loads of venues that are majority Thai and have high quality, with many girls from Thammassat going out there. Most are on Rambutri road, but a few on Khao San road, and a few on Phra Aathit road.

My top picks would be Molly and บัวสะอาด (no English sign but pronounced bua sa-aat) on Rambutri. However, Bangkok Bar on rambutri, Oh Bar on the road off the island at the bottom of rambutri, Brick Bar on Khao San, Hippie de bar on Khao San, Money lampoo on pra aathit, and บัวสะอาด second location also on pra aathit, are all worth going to. There are some more places on Phra aathit road that I forget the names of too (phra aathit is a half reasonable place to go on dates too).

Deep on Rambutri also gets lots of young Thai girls in, but it's not my cup of tea and gets too crowded. Mulligans also has a lot of Thai students on weekends, but most tend to be in mixed groups and there can be hookers around too, it's also pretty shit unless you want a pint of guinness or something. The sawasdee house at the end of soi rambutri, where there are tables outside running alongside the temple wall, also has loads of young Thai girls on Fridays and Saturdays. I wouldn't go there myself though, as there are too many backpackers and tourists, and just too many better venues nearby.

After hours, especially after Brick bar closes, the street bar opposite Buddy lodge can be a good spot to pick up (had countless bangs from here). Quality is pretty patchy though, as most have already been snapped up by the Thais or gone home. On the plus side, many are pissed out their brains, and carry on drinking late, and it's easy to talk to groups, join tables etc.

A lot of the places I listed, you will need to ask somebody to be able to find them, as many are set back off the main street, or have narrow fairly discreet entrances (e.g. Bangkok Bar). I'm not sure if this is to prevent them being overrun by tourists, but it seems to work as I tend to be the only white guy at most of these places.

Also regarding Japanese girls, there are absolutely shit loads around khao san around July August time. Get them from day game if possible though, as not that many go out at night. They are far easier than in Japan too.

The reason I left KSR out was because I had no information about it, I really dont like visiting places that has backpackers, but your info is good for others who would like to check it out.

Anybody else living on ratchada/suttisan? Perfect for guys on a budget. I've got a pretty decent condo over here walking distance(or a 10baht moterbike ride) from the MRT I'm paying 4k baht a month for(including utilities/internet). Just 3 stations from RCA. My budget is easily under $1000 a month these days and I think I could keep it at about $700 without much trouble if I stopped going out often and mooched off more girls.

On a related note, has anyone checked out Ratchada soi 4? There are a handful of clubs there and I've been the only westerner every time. Great place to practice picking up using only Thai. I went there for Songkran and a BigAss concert last year and it was a blast both times, now I go semi-regularly. Cheap as fuck too, was buying bottles of that shitty Hundred Pipers stuff buy one get 5 free at Snob(friend is a member). If anyone wants to met up I'll probably be at snob this weekend since I've still got 8 bottles their.

Only been to Ratchada soi 4 once and struck out. That was before I spoke any Thai. How have you done approaching there? Had trouble finding girls who spoke English, but hsvent spent enough time there to really form an opinion.

Do you have a condo, or an apartment for 4k. Can you post some photos?

Yea, very few girls speak much english there, so having a bit of Thai is a must, atleast enough to not be a burden to the girl when you're with her group.

The 2 main clubs, and the only one's I've been to are Zaleng and Snop/snob. I prefer Zaleng.

Zaleng has 2 rooms, one playing live Thai bands(occasionally one of the big ones like potato or big ass shows up) and one with the usual electronic/hiphop stuff.
The live band room fills up early but the 2nd room will be empty until later(11-12 usually). I usually have more luck in the 2nd room for some reason. Though last time I went here I ended up banging the girl that walks around selling snacks in the live music room.

Snop is bigger and more popular, it's the multilevel one nearest to Ratchada, I've only gone there this last week since my friend bought a membership, not really an expert yet but doesn't seem all that different from Zaleng.

There's actually one more club I've gone to there, but only once and I don't know the name. It's the one on the right when you're going to zaleng. It looked pretty shitty and empty, was only there maybe 15 minutes then stepped out for a smoke and left with a group of girls outside that took me to Zaleng for the first time.

As far as overall success, I'd prefer going to RCA, but Soi 4 is so much cheaper, and I can brush up on thai, and get some variety. I'm also convinced I'd do better at Soi 4 then RCA if I could just get my Thai down better. Fucking tones man.

It's a condo, I rent it from a woman I know through one of my regular girls. The name of the condo is Ratchada Orchid, rooms usually go from 5-10k a month +utilities, I think, depending on the floorplan.
This isn't my room but it looks like the same floorplan: http://www.plazathai.com/show-483494.html

I got a deal on this one, maybe because the room next to me is being redone and I get woken up every weekday morning to the sound of drills and saws. I've got to be up to go to class and chase Kaset girls anyway though, so it doesn't bother me too much.

Jesus. I pay 380€ for my 30m² apartment and thats without Internet and electricity.
That buys me the privilege of staying in an overpriced, boring provincial town with ugly girls who think their shit dont stink.

Rent shot up 10% this year.
Electricity goes up every year around christmas.
Shitty nightlife.
Shitty weather.
Everything expensive as fuark.
Walls so thin I can hear the next door chick talking to her bf on the phone right now.

I know exactly what you mean. I lived in a very expensive city in Germany and payed about the same as you pay for your apartment and then I stayed a two months in Bangkok and payed about 150 Euro for the same kind of apartment, just a much nicer one and had pretty thai girls all over the place and fantastic weather and food. my goal is to live in Thailand and not in a cold town in Europe with a bunch of ugly chicks an shit weather

Great info guys specially Afarang and lop890!
As I'm returning to Asia in April, I'm very tempted to hop to BKK for SangKran. Has anyone experienced it in BKK? Is it worth it or is it overrated? It's one of the things I really want to experience at least once.

I prefer it in CM. Bangkok is so packed everywhere you go is shoulder to shoulder. I think CM is much better for Songkran. If you've never been there for it, that's where I'd go.

All this hype about Thailand on the forum is starting to sink in on me. I might have to check it out.

If I could stay in a balling ass 4-5 star hotel for a month there for cheap, I'd be down for going there. Thing is, I'm not really attracted to Thai girls, or 'tanned' Asians. Are the light skinned Thai girls really so hard to get?

I have only been to the one in bKK, it was fun but everyone tell me CM is better.

Perhaps do a few days at both

I've never been to CM for songkran but I can confirm Bkk is too crowded nearly everywhere.

You can go to Silom for the novelty but you might have to kill someone to make it back to the BTS, and good luck running daygame.

Siam will have concerts around Central World, last year I saw Potato there, was actually less crowded then Silom and there was room to move a little. All the big malls will still be open but you can't bring any waterguns in ofcourse.

People say Khao San is fun, but I've never been for Songkran as I don't really like the place.

Last year I went to Route one night and it was hell trying to get to our table. I sent a girl there at 8 on a mission to get a table and it as already packed. Was still pretty fun though once we were inside.
Lots of Thai celebrities showed up, ended up meeting this guy and then shooting him in the head for making that retarded Countdown movie.

The clubs at soi 4 will be so crowded on Songkran that they will basically merge into one club with everyone pouring outside, where they'll have concerts and dancing sluts on stage.

Kasetsart Uni will have some people playing around, but if you think it'll be full of student girls in their uniforms you'll be dissapointed like I was.

Not really, but if you were into the dark skinned girls it would be like fucking fish in a barrel.

I used to not care about skin so much but the longer I stay here the more I prefer the lighter skinned girls that the Thai's prefer, weird.

iop, are you in BKK now? Or were you here before?

Last year at Route my buddy and I got to go up on one of the side stages, where the beer girls are dancing and shooting the crowd, and shoot the crowd. His girl at the time knew someone and got us up there.
