Man pretends to be woman online, gets disgusted

Guy thinks woman have it easy online dating, is disgusted after 2 hours

Seems to me it was a failed experiment at the start, I have no idea what he was expecting but there's been a trend of articles that fail spectacularly when discussing online dating, they always stop at 'its depressing' or 'finding that one shining match' when the real question is why.

Have any women written articles about their failed attempts at setting up a fake man's profile on OKC? Let's see them deal with constant rejection due to their lack of social skills.

Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag. We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language. And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.

The problem with that would be that a woman setting up a fake account would probably pick the picture of an "average" man, which means that she'd pick a male 8. So, she'd get a really good response and write some crap about how men have it easy.

I recall seeing an experiment where a guy charted the successes of a few different fake profiles of random guys ranging from attractive to ugly on pof, I think in the span of weeks even the most attractive profile got at best 40 or so messages.

That said I'd agree with jr, when it comes to something like attraction women tend to have nfi what makes them tick, whatever results she gets will probably be womanized.

I set up an attractive fake female profile once on OK Cupid. I didn't get any raunchy come-ons or requests for nudes. It was 90 percent lame guys basically just writing "hey what's up." The challenge for women in online dating is wading through the hordes of lame guys that message you.

Not to toot my own horn, but the Internet (Am I sexy and a couple other sites) rates me as an 8.

Online I get about two girls randomly messaging me per week.

Neither is ever hot.

While my response rate is pretty good, girls still don't hit me up. In the same situation with reversed genders my inbox would be full.

I remember when a friend and I made a fake Craigslist ad. The ad was supposed to be a from a 5'6" 290 pound women with three kids who wanted to have a train run on her. Within 6 hours probably 100 dudes had responded.

Thirsty guys are everywhere, for a girl to be thirsty she has to be completely busted.

If you are a man who isn't a celebrity you will never receive the same level of attention that an average girl gets on a day-to -day basis.

Also, cry me a fucking river on how hard it is for the women to get inundated with messages. Your average guy rarely gets unsolicited messages. I've seen the other male profiles in my area and I would honestly say I have a pretty good profile, and my response rate on outgoing messages is around 25 percent and I typically get about 2-3 unsolicited messages a week. The fake female profile I set up was getting easily 20-25 messages a day. If men were getting 25 messages a day and two-thirds were from unattractive or incompatible women, the guys wouldn't be bitching about the 18 fatties/fugs messaging them. They'd instead be elated that they were getting 7 messages a day from suitable women.

At the end of the day, if you're an attractive woman on OKC or POF or Tinder or whatever, you're still getting 7-8 messages a day from decent guys, so who cares about the 18 others that are either unattractive or incompatible?

What was your purpose in setting up a fake female profile. I have no clue why anyone would go to the trouble?

I think if you're trying to tag girls off dating sites, it would be stupid NOT to do it. You glean all sorts of useful information if you understand what it's actually like for a girl on a dating site. You learn a lot about what to do and what not to do from watching her inbox fill up and reading what other guys write to these women. You learn a lot about both your targets and your competition for those targets.

@RXB - absolutely correct. It was a real eye-opener to me when I realised that women who are average or above get the same level of attention from men that a celebrity might get from women.

I suspect this is a truth that alot of blue-pillers aren't aware of.

I smell a fake account - it was probably created by a woman.

I once set up a fake female account to find out how many twentysomething women that listed as bisexual really were.

It turned out very few had actual experience with real women. Several counted things like having a crush on a girl in their art class as them being "bi." This showed me bisexuality has become an identity or a mating strategy more than an indicator of actual sexual orientation.

Not exactly on-topic, but it's still worth knowing. As much as women "complain" about getting swarmed with messages, they're clearly after that, since listing as a bi woman plays into a lot of guys' fantasies. If they really wanted less messages, they'd dress in ugly shawls, wear awful glasses, talk of church and say "no sex till marriage!" For some reason, you don't see this.

Yeah, this has been pointed out before, and OKCupid even has stats to back it up. A guy needs to have looks in the 9+ range or else have an unusually compelling photo or profile to see a noticeable difference in unsolicited attention.

In fact that's partly why I know you aren't "tooting your own horn". Being a male 8 means almost nothing without game. In fact it kind of sucks since you probably have more trouble being attracted to quality girls in the 7.0 range than most men.

I seem to recall OKcupid having some numbers on that, too. Specifically, that a lot of people listed as "bi" were either mostly straight or mostly lesbian.

I wonder, what would a woman think of herself if she WASN'T swarmed with thirsty messages.

Nothing. She'd shame men for having unfair beauty standards.

Pretty funny that if you "win", the so-called date you have with her will also have 12 other men joining.

Thinly veiled publicity stunt, as the comments noted.

Or perhaps, thinly veiled gang bang invite...
